    I am not liable for this debt with Breckenridge Villas. Also, I do not have a contract with ************ **** *********. They did not provide me with the original contract as I requested.

    ****** ***** moved into apt. *** with ***** ******** on 09/**/2021 and moved out of the unit on 05/**/2022.  They gave a 60 day notice on 03/01/2022 which was before end of the lease term.  These residents were charged for damaged carpet for 1500.00, break lease fee of 1020.00 and 68.00 in unpaid rent for the month of May.  This debt was sent to *** on 05/06/2022 and placed on their credit in June.  This is a valid debt owed that has not been paid.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Neither I nor ***** ******** were notified of the fees that were supposedly left. After checking my credit report I saw the collection amount and contacted Breckenridge where I was told that they had no way of contacting either of us (contrary when we both had to fill out applications for the lease). I then corrected them because the due balance was incorrect because we had in fact paid the last months rent. After research was done on their behalf they concluded that we owed a different amount with was supposedly for damaged carpet. We were not told that the carpet or any other specifics had to be done before vacating the premises. $1500 for carpet with no notice is insane.
