    I will never go this resort again. You couldn't pay me to stay there. BAD THINGS: 1. Attitude of some front desk clerk is very bad. 2. No Kleenex in the rooms 3. Food is horrible 4. Outdoor showers dont work properly 5. Dirty - there were cookies under the bed 6. Place is out dated. 7. Elevator floors were always wet 8. Gym could use better equipment. GOOD THINGS: 1. Parking was good

    When I booked our reservation at Beach Cove I paid extra to pick my room. I actually called and made my reservation on the phone with a real person not a computer so it wasnt a computer glitch. Got my confirmation and even called three days before we were to be there just to re- confirm our room. When we arrived I was told the room I had picked and paid for was not available- but could not tell me why it wasnt available. Said it changed two days ago WHAT?? Explained I had my confirmation and had even called. Still-that room is not available but I can let you look at the room we have for you- supposed to be an upgrade for what I had booked. HAAA that was a joke - the room was outdated and just nasty and dirty. Went back to desk and told the boy no I did not pay for that. Gave me another room to look at - again suppose to be an upgrade. NOOO same as the first room. Ended up talking to manager- she could not tell me why the room I had booked and paid for was not available. Finally after I continued to ask she said they had to move people and that somebody was already in the room - the room that I had booked and paid for. WHAT????!! All she could say was she understood what I was saying but things happen. Well that is just unacceptable. Told the manager I had not been called or notified in any way about this change - that the room I wanted would not be available - so we drove 4 hours to get told sorry things happen and then try to get put in a room that was in no comparison to what I paid for. Also, I had received nine emails from them within the last two days wanting me to confirm and check in online- not one email said anything about a change in rooms. Seems to me that they put somebody in the room I had booked and when I got there they knew we needed a place to stay so they thought they could get another one of their rooms booked as well. This is not how I do business - completely unacceptable!

    WORST PLACE TO STAY IN ************! Rooms were not what they said or looked like online, we entered to a dirty room, floor was nasty and had funny smell! Ask to upgrade to a 2 bedroom , was told that they didnt have any available with balcony use. Never informed us hotel was under some sort of construction, pool and lazy river closed. No indication on website or at lobby when arriving! Big roaches crawling all over pool area. Breakfast area is outdated and staff is dressed in regular clothing. Bar area , one server for the whole place . Good was terrible all microwaved! Indoor pool is so strong with chlorine odor it will run you away ! Dirty all over , no change machine in laundered room! They wont give change at front desk blaming each person for the change! Would never come back

    I feel that they have become a rip off, when they continue to increase fees, while at the same time lacking anemities that they advertise and clearly a lack of housekeeping and maintenance.Sunday 5/19/24 I continued to see small bugs crawling all over the floor of the living/kitchen area. I spent most of the evening (about 4 hours), killing them. I moved the couch to see that there were active bugs underneath.One of the sinks in the bathroom drained slowly because the stopper could not be moved. As well as the tub unable to drain properly.Monday 5/20/24: An exterminator came in to spray the unit. I asked him about the bugs, which he advised he did see a baby German ***** and that they usually like to stay around applicances. So, from my understanding, he did confirm that all the bugs were NOT bed bugs. I didn't happen to see any bugs in the bedroom.Unfortunately, his spraying did NOT help. They were still crawling all over the floor, around/from/to the fridge, and around the cabinets. One large ***** even crawled up the **** behind/beside the fridge. I moved the fridge, which exposed a huge amount of ***** activity.Even after cleaning for FOUR hours with MY own personal brought cleaning supplies, they remained active.Tuesday 5/21/24: Both outdoor pools and hottubs that were open, were filled with dead bugs. The pool beside the restaurant even had a brown ***** in it. The pool with the deep end and rope, was HIGHLY noticable, especially caked all over the rope (the full length of the rope. I was there at 8am, as soon as they opened, and their pools were full of dead bugs. Their ******** page advertises their outdoor bar. However, it was not opened on this day.Bug problem continued, but I was over it at this time.*Reported resort to ***************** on this day.Wednesday 5/22/24: Notice small ***** now on counter. Thursday 5/23/24: strong smell of MARIJUANA when opened balcony door

    If I could leave 0 stars I would. We are in our third room in less than 24 hours due to mold, smoke, and leaks. We were given a credit for food to compensate. We sat at the restaurant and waited over 20 minutes and had to speak up about being skipped before we were acknowledged. Finally we ordered at 722pm. It is now 915pm and our food still isnt here. Half of ********* are closed as well as half of the elevators. The wait time for elevators is long and frustrating at times. We will never stay here again.

    Booked a 2 bedroom condo on Beach Cove website. The website had pictures of the condo we were reserving. When we checked in we were given a different room with outdated furniture, carpet that was pulling away from the floor, refrigerator that had rust on it, walls that were marked up. When we complained we were told there was no guarantee we would get the room we reserved. Basically a bait and switch. Fortunately, we were shown another condo that was available. It was the SAME one we reserved. The first condo was on the 2nd floor and the 2nd condo was in the 4th floor so it took us time to pack everything up and move. We're satisfied with the room, however the resort is in a state of disrepair. The indoor pool is closed because it is sinking, one of the pool ladders has yellow caution tape wrapped around it because it is broken, and one of the bridges over the lazy river is closed because it collapsed. The condo doesn't have a cutting board, a measuring cup, a blender, and the refrigerator door shelves are missing the plastic braces so you can't store anything on them. When we called about the missing things we were told it was up to the owner to provide them. In other words we won't be getting them. One of the worst 'resorts' I have ever stayed at.

I have reached out to the guest on Trip Advisor, his cell phone, and his email address today to discuss with him his concerns. I would like to clarify that the indoor pool is not sinking and the bridge over the lazy river did not collapse in any way. They are doing work on the bridge but the lazy river is open. The indoor pool is closed and will be for the remaining year, however, we have been very transparent about that on our website, confirmations, and welcome letters.     They kicked ** out of the pool area because the kids did flips into the pool. The signs said no diving and swim at your own risk. The security guard threatened my 14 year old granddaughter and the police would not file a complaint against him. Worst place ever!!!!
