Myrtle Beach Tours offered a "beach week" to high school seniors that coincided with my families vacation stay at the Ocean Beach Drive and Golf Resort. We have been vacationing at this hotel for the last 19 yrs and there has never been a beach week for hs students. These children were unattended and problems brought to the attention of MB Tours were not dealt with in a timely manner. My families vacation was ruined because of this lack of action.Rooms at the hotel were rented to these children who were all around us on our floor. We did not get sleep due to inappropriate behaviors of these children (some even under 18 yrs. old). My niece was assulted verbally by a group of these kids while trying to enter our room. We were spit on while trying to use the pool throughout the week by these kids from the balconies. We could not use our balcony due to the smell of marijuana and fireworks being thrown from rooms above us. Our hotel tried to control the situation but MB Tours would not come to the hotel to follow thru with their contract made with the students. We could not use the beach most nights bc large gatherings took place with the police clearing the beach. Shops and streets we normally go to were overflowing making it unsafe to pass by bc the students were everywhere unattended. The MB Tours ambassador was made aware of our issues early in the week he claimed he had no way to control the situation. By mid week kids were found face down on the beach drunk unable to walk. When I asked the ambassador what he was going to do he said he could not do anything. We had to leave on our last day very early at 3 a.m. bc the room next to us was making loud noise all night. Nothing was done to stop these underage children from wrecking the vacations of everyone around them. I want compensated by MB Tours for ruining my vacation.
