    We hired Jerry H****, the owner of Sunshine Pools to build a swimming pool based on a family members acquaintance and recommendation of work he had done for them. He didn’t start on our pool when he said he was so we recontacted the referring family member and found out that the work he did for them was faulty and he had promised to come and fix it. That was about 8 weeks ago. He not only has dodged calls, not replied to texts but he has also not returned to repair her liner. This prompted some concern so I began to read other reviews that had been posted. Based on the reviews, we called Mr. H**** and had him come over because we had some concerns and wanted to talk to him. We respectfully asked for the return of our deposit minus $300 because he has been to our house 3 times to discuss the pool. We wanted to pay him for his time. He agreed to refund our deposit. He said he would call the following week with details about when the refund would be given. He did not call the next week so we contacted him. We sent many texts that were not replied to and made several phone calls that remained unanswered. When we finally got a response he said he had OUR money tied up on 2 jobs he was working in and he would pay us as soon as he was paid for those jobs. He gave us this explanation for 6 weeks. The last message he sent he said that the money had been released but he was waiting on the check to clear. That’s been about 2 weeks and still no refund. There are many other details about how he dodged our attempts to contact him and the way he has replied. He has done absolutely NO work at our house so he has no money tied up related to our pool project. We simply want our deposit refunded as he has agreed to do but has made excuse after excuse as to why it isn’t available.
