WARNING ?? Anyone who gets accepted by American credit acceptance will be charged a very high interest rate. After paying 21 payments on time I decided to refinance my vehicle they owed me back money. I applied for a check to be sent out to me. I waited for a month or more and when I got my payment it was a card that I could use only for purchases. I couldn’t use it for cash withdrawals. I was treated rudely by customer service because I disagreed with the way they treated me. So I was issued a debit card that I can only use for purchases. That’s how nasty they are. I would never recommend them anybody to do business with them EVER!!!!!!

A positive customer experience is a top priority for American Credit Acceptance, LLC (ACA), as stated in our mission and values. Ms. ***** signed a Retail Installment Contract with ACA. If Ms. Afari needs a copy of the Contract, a copy can be e-mailed or mailed to her. ACA can also provide a copy of her a transaction history and a copy of our Simple Interest FAQ which provides additional details of how a simple interest contract works. ACA disburses all refunds to the customer on an Onbe debit card. The overpayment refund has been mailed to Ms. Afari at the address on file. To request the documentation she can contact ACA Customer Experience Department at ************ or *******************************

My husband had a loan with this company for his truck! My husband was never late for payments or nothing, my husband passed away I talked to someone at this company five days straight trying to beg them to take a payment or pay off so that my husband’s truck wouldn’t get repossessed as sent in all the documents they asked for, but they say I still couldn’t pay off my husband‘s truck and they came and repossessed it they sent a letter in the mail after the reposition telling me that now I can come pay off the truck and pay for their extra expenses after repossessing his truck that I was trying to pay off anyways I will never recommend this company to no oneeeee everrrrr they put me through hell when I was at my lowest point in life

I’ve been paying off my car loan for about 2 years. Even though I have made late payments I asked how much do I have left on the vehicle and was told basically the amount I started with. So in 2 years they said I basically paid $15,000 dollars in interest and only about $1,000 of that went towards the actual car loan itself. That is unacceptable. I would have been close to fully paying of the loan by now smh. They just take your money and you don’t even know that it’s not even going towards your car… Terrible.

Very disrespectful to my wife when she called to explain our situation, phone operator tells my wife “oh you need a name to pay your bills” when I’m on the car loan myself. After the conversation my wife starts crying because how much she was harassed trying to make a payment. I called back and spoke to a manager and the manager Lisa doesn’t seem to care how rude their employees are treating there customers

DO NOT trust this company with anything! My husband for starters, has been fighting with them regarding payments for years because they always "misplace" the payments. He finally sold his truck and they stole $866 from the last payoff and want to only give him $3! What an insult! Customer service is also terrible, they are probably stealing all your money so make sure you keep track of your payment if you use them! Please do yourself a favor and choose any other company even if your interest is higher!

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I called to notify of my medical condition and was out of work for 6 months. They denied a payment extension and when asked to speak with a supervisor the agent ask if I want to do an vs. The agent proceeded to place me on hold In silence for over 20 mins no music like the previous holds. Once I advised I would be filing a complaint the music began to play again with another long hold time. I recommend you run from this company they are the worst

American Credit Acceptance is absolutely the worst company to have to deal with.....their customer service is horrible!! My husband has died and the loan is in his name and I have had to send the same information multiple times and yet they continue to tell me that haven't received it to speak to me regarding a settlement on the account.......DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!

I didn't choose this company. My original car loan was transferred over to them without my knowledge or permission from the used car dealer. This company is horrible. I live in a city that got hit with 6 feet of snow The day after Thanksgiving (yes, 6 FEET of snow, that is not a typo). I was unable to physically leave my house for 2 weeks. So I tried to use my **** *** business debit card to make my monthly payment and it was declined, not for insufficient funds, but because **** *** flagged the company as suspicious/fraudulent and denied it. Had to until I could clear away enough snow to get to a store to send a payment via ******* ***** bill pay. In the meantime, I had gotten an email stating that repossession was imminent if I didn't pay my past due balance. So I called customer service to find out exactly how much was owed and explained my situation with the snow. They told me the amount that was owed and I told them I would be paying it within the next couple of days. They told me that if I made the past due payment from November that they would defer the December payment so that way I would be caught up current. Well, I did end up making that November payment and then, come January, I'm getting an email stating that my car has been turned over to a repo agency for repossession. I immediately called American Credit Acceptance and was told that I still owed for the December payment. I told them that a representative had told me December's payment was to be deferred and they told me they never said that. I asked, even if they screwed me out of the deferment, why it was up for repossession when it was barely 30 days past due? They told me they have zero grace period and can repossess the car at any time even if it's only a couple days past due. I told them I could pay in a week when I got paid and they claimed they could not enter a payment agreement into the system once my account was past due. Ended up with another massive late fee.
