Today, 8/11/2024, at around 12:15 pm my husband and I went to the Denny's located at **** ******** ******, Long Beach, CA 90807, and we were told that they do not have any special $5.99 Grand Slam special. That they have the Grant Slam for $9.99 and tax would come to around $11.00. That the, on ******** ******* have a special for all you can pan cakes only. This is incorrect and the employee at the front desk, male, should know what special Denny's is offering at all times. I explained to that male at the front desk that it was a current TV commercial, but he said that there is no special available like that at Denney's. This is similar, if not exactly, "False Advertising." Thank you...Initial Complaint

Ordered online a couple of days ago a large $60 order for myself my boyfriend and my kid it was due at 12:15 PM so we start heading to the store and we get there a few minutes before hand. While I wait in the car my partner goes in and about 12 minutes later comes out saying that "they said they're out of so much stuff so I told them okay well there's some replacement items that could work if you want to try to put it together instead of refund?" So we wait. After one entire hour goes by with no check in (including perhaps a call to my cell as soon as you get the order, to warn me of the issue?) I finally go in myself and am greeted eventually by the hostess who asks what I'm there for and after I explain "well we came here on our lunch break for a pickup order that was due an hour ago and someone said they were working on it but we have to leave to get back to work so I might need a refund instead". This woman says she doesn't know anything about that and gets very offended and goes over to the kitchen where someone comes out and is starting to bag. She starts telling them very loudly and rudely that "no nope throw that food away they want a refund, you want a refund right?!" Too which I then say, no, if it's ready right now then I'm right here, we just need to go please. Then, again very loudly right in front of us where we can hear them, they start complaining amongst each other and even cussing us out for using the online order as if we weren't there right in front of them in earshot.... So to end this interaction, the woman that brought us the bags, who was the only person there not being rude, gave us our stuff and apologized but when I asked "well I know there were substitutions but it's the food at least all there?" And she said well they did what they could but if it's not right and you need a refund you have to call the number on your receipt or app. The food unsurprisingly was inedible and made with obvious resentment. It’s 10:47pm. Leaving store 7779 in Wilton NY My party and I just went in (two of us) to your store to have something to eat. We drove a half hour after seeing that the store was open until midnight. Upon arriving the female manager stated that she would not be taking us tonight because she “promised a party of 30 that they could come in” and since they “made a reservation she would be giving them priority. (They hadn’t arrived yet). We knew what we wanted. We told her we’d be fast. With an hour and a half left of being open she sent us away which I think is a disgrace. No apology. On May 3rd took my kids and son to the What are Dennys on EST Chula Vista for breakfast Let me stay this was was horrible I server had the nerve to put down burnt waffles. It was the blueberry waffles. Sausage were burnt cold. I was so embarrassed. I couldn’t even ask for a refund. I was so upset. The only thing they took off was the burnt waffles. The whole breakfast was horrible. Whoever was kicking shouldn’t be a kick, I’ve been at a lot of Denny’s but this one top of my list was horrible. Disgusting. I got in the car and said I could’ve burned the $59. I spent prices are going up everywhere and I expect to have a decent breakfast without amount of money and I don’t know who I need to talk to you. I thought about it and it’s just been bugging me. This is why I’m making a complaint.Business Response

For Dennys case *************, I already showed proof that my food wasn't delivered properly. I confirmed with the store and all. I contacted the corporate office who keeps saying the franchise will refund me. Nobody has responded to numerous attempts for 2 weeks. Please refund me for this order!Business Response

On 03/01/2024 my daughter and I went to a Denny's in Mount Vernon, WA. We were on a time crunch and we let the waitress know this. Once we placed our order, we waited about 20 minutes and decided to pay our bill ahead of time to help us have time to eat and not have to worry about standing around to pay the bill. After about 30 minutes had passed, the food hadn't come so we flagged our waitress. She was new and we were told that she hadn't placed our order in. We were told that we would be credited back the money we had paid. They took our bill and then brought it back to us. We did get some of the food and they had to go back several times to give us what we were missing. We had to rush through our food and the experience was awful. We never received the credited amount we were promised at the restaurant.Business Response

We encountered a horrible experience with our take-out order. My husband went in to pick it up and was told it wasn't ready yet. There was a bag sitting there, but they said it wasn't ours. After waiting for quite some time, he was finally told our order was ready and it was the order that had been sitting there the whole time. My husband pointed out that the bag had been sitting there for a very long time and he wanted a new order because the food is probably cold. The host said the bag still feels warm to him and didn't offer a new order or even an apology. When we got home of course everything was ice cold. My pancakes were so hard that I threw them away. And to top it off, they did not put the slices of bananas in the bag. I contacted the company twice without a response.Customer Answer

Ordered food on 01/01/24 in the early morning for $47.57. I was charged, and it showed the order being made on the tracking screen. Received a message, via email that they were canceling the order as you can see below. Have not received a refund for an order I never received but was charged. I have attempted to contact the number they have listed numerous times with no avail as nobody ever picks up. I remailed the headquarters @ *********** and emailed them. I am being told I have to wait to see if I can get a refund as it is issued by the store manager. They tell me to contact them, but as stated the phone never gets answered. 12/02/2023 11:08:25 AM (receipt time), order ****** Server Sergio m Today , me, my wife and my 3 kids decided to stop at Denny’s to eat breakfast. We do this 2-3 times at months just to get out of the house, at this location because it is close to our house. Today, we experienced another kind of level of service from Mr Sergio M , position waiter. I’ll try my best to explain. My wife asked for water at room temperature ( which in other words is no ice) to drink her medicines. Mr Sergio said that he doesn’t have water at room temperature and that he doesn’t understand this terminology. From her his fists of anger starter to show against us: whistling when he was bringing us the food, passing the plates in front of my wife face almost shaving her ( in purpose), throwing the plates on the table. When my wife was not at the table and he brought one of her dish, he even mentioned in front of us: “ wherever she sits”, ( meaning ,to place the plate). What personally made me sad is , he was refilling everyone’s coffee cups, but not ours.. he never refilled our cups. We requested the manager at the table , which came politely, and listened to the story about bad behaved server Sergio m The manager asked us if we want a 20% off from our bill, which I refused , telling him that I’m gonna fill up a complain with Denny’s corporation and I’m gonna copy paste the above and fill up a complain with BBB.
