    This table saw was a gift from my son. After a few times of use the throat plate bent. No not from heavy use or any other way. (I have been using table saw since the age of 15, now 65) When I called delta support, I was given a phone number 866-******** When I called it they said it was an "aftermarket parts for Delta, and at that time gave me a new number and turn brought me took me to Delta again, A Male agent answered and right from the start was rude, when he asked "how did it get bent? My response was "maybe because it's cheap and thin metal, he just laughed. Then asked the model all the while laughing. I hung up. I again called Delta(support) Ans was in touch with the same female agent, who sent me more information. (Via email) All I want is a NEW throat plate, It is under warranty as pre document. I am not asking for a new saw, motor or anything other than a NEW throat plate, BUT one that IS NOT as thin as the one that came with it!

    I recently had an issue with an older Delta Model ****** ** in Left tilt Saw. I've had this machine for quite a few years and had little hope that Customer Service would assist me as it is beyond the Manufacturer warranty and in my mind, beyond reasonable amount of time to expect assistance. "Derrick" not only responded to my web email within minutes and so with a quick video of the current performance, he was able to direct me in troubleshooting, parts and a possible resolution to my issue at home. per my request he also directed me to the closest repair location but advised it could be something I could resolve myself if I was comfortable. We only exchanged 2 emails before he called me directly to improve communication. That alone impressed me beyond words. While its up to me to take the next steps, i felt this level of superior Customer Service alone required positive feedback. Thanks again Derrick, you're the man! ***** ** ******* ***** ***
