I came to this business to get the air conditioning checked in my car because it was only blowing hot air. I paid for the diagnostic test for my A/C and a freon fill up. I was told that I needed to get the condenser replaced. I came back a few days later for them to replace the condenser and another freon fill up. The next day my a/c was blowing hot air again. I came back to this business to let them know that the problem still wasn’t fixed. Employees at the business checked my vehicle again and told me that the issue was from the suction/discharge assembly hose that goes to the condenser. They did not offer to correct the mistake and gave me a quote on how much more money I would have to pay for them to replace the part. I could not believe they wanted to make me pay even more money to fix the issue. I left my personal information on the company’s website and got no response. I also left a voicemail with someone at the franchise office. They still did not follow up with me. I went back to the business in person to try and get a direct phone number to contact someone to try and get the issue resolved. An employee at the business told me that someone had been in contact with them to get their side of the story. I still requested a response one more time through their website and they still have not attempted to contact me. All I want is for them to replace the part that needed to replaced the first time and a Freon refill without having to pay them again for the service that should have happened the first time or have to pay for a third freon refill. They do have records of all transactions in their computer system. Thank you.Business response

Air conditioning repair is the most complex service system to repair on a automobile because the system leaks in the form of a gas into the atmosphere. All other components leak in the form of a liquid and are much easier to detect each leak during the initial diagnostics. With AC repairs we must replace each component after we can confirm failure using a liquid dye additive placed into the pressurized AC system. It is impossible to confirm each leak during the initial diagnostic and AC repairs can take multiple visits and can have multiple leaks. Attached are the 5 steps in repairing AC systems.
We are more than happy to warranty the labor on the next AC recharge as long as the customer is willing to repair the components and pay for the AC freon.

I am rejecting this response because:Paying $1,600 total for a/c is way too much. Especially since I didn’t need the condenser replaced to begin with.
Sincerely,

AC repairs are not inexpensive services and the condenser was the major leak and without replacing it the additional leak could not be found. If a person went to the ER with a large wound the doctors would stich the wound. The patient could have a small cut on their leg but that cut was not urgent or important initially.
AC system repairs are no different but even more complicated because it leaks out into the atmosphere.
