So my husband did something very nice for me when we moved, he hired a painter to come in and take down wallpaper and chair rail and paint the walls for us to make the move less stressful because I'm usually the one who does all of our painting. Over $4000 later and I'm still scraping paint off windows, cleaning paint off carpets, doorknobs, outlets, the list goes on. I had ruined clothing and bedsheets from paint being dripped or sprayed, big patches. There is still hanger wire hanging all over under one of our carports and white footprints still able to be seen on our gray front porch. There are gouges in the walls that weren't filled in and over spackled bulges that weren't sanded down. I have nearly 100 photos of the condition the house was left in every night including our kitchen taped off, Newport cigarette butts on the floors that were tracked in, air vents and screws left carelessly thrown on family heirlooms, window fixtures hanging off that weren't replaced properly, drip marks, sprayed paint on windows, spilled cups and containers left everywhere, opened paint with trays and rollers left every where.... After 17 days (we were told 8, then 9 after we had to have popcorn scraped) of living with our kids and dogs on our sunporch, I was done, school had already started and we wanted to unpack. We had asked for the kids rooms to be done first, they were done last. Instead of room to room, the whole house was in chaos.. I can go on, seriously, but I'm going back to scrubbing more paint out of the carpeting. I'm just so very disappointed.
