Elite Stump Grinding LLC, Joseph F****** was commissioned to REMOVE stumps, roots, vines…elite stump grinding LLC, Joseph F******, did not do the job correctly & refuses to complete job hired to do to customer satisfaction like his website claims, he does not provide work order for work to be done,he does not provide receipt for services provided, does not take before or after pics/videos, will only provide a simple invoice stating only the money owed for service but nothing about service provided…when confronted about poor service claims the job was done as he understood but admits he missed a lot of items he should have removed, I paid CASH so he did not have to claim on Elite Stump Grinding LLC business taxes, he takes CASH payment and says “if you find anything I missed, just call me I will fix it”…when called he claims harassment, Customer has a gross misunderstanding of what a stump grinding machines capabilities are, claims he was setup for failure, says he has filed police reports against the home owner for harassment. Elite Stump Grinding LLC, Joseph F****** attempted to hide remove debris in wooded area on my property, refuses to return to complete job stating he now fears for his safety because ALL CAPITAL LETTERS were used in a text message communication sent by home owner & will not allow an opportunity for the home owner to “turn things ugly”…has offered a “partial refund” but then claims customer requested it, …he does not negotiate what the “partial refund” should be, he just makes up a number says he will mail it & to never contact him again….VERY VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY Elite Stump Grinding LLC, Joseph F******, Taylor’s SC…..for any legal action that Elite Stump Grinding LLC, Joseph F****** might attempt to take against the home owner for this review, or for any other reviews posted to company’s website or social media, home owner has the pics/video, text messages to prove what is posted is factually true, & correct.

    Elite Stump Grinding LLC Response

I was originally commissioned to do approximately 35 stumps (the customer spray-painted all the stumps he wanted completed), and this was finished on June 9th. I am being accused of not doing the job correctly, but that is not true. The customer received an invoice through ********** via email. I was not aware that he was dissatisfied with the invoice, or I would have sent him a new one. Before pictures were taken for social media and a few afterward. In hindsight, I should have taken a video of everything before and after since this was an extensive job in a large yard. On June 12th, this customer asked me to come back after he found a few stumps I missed. I responded with, “Yes, absolutely. It would be sometime during the week. Let me see what next week looks like, and I’ll let you know.” On June 14th, the customer sent me multiple videos of a yard completely demolished, with him admitting he “dug up his yard” and “burned the stuff out.” Upon reviewing his video, I did see only ONE stump that was painted red that I missed. Large perimeters were spray-painted in the group. Anything I saw within that perimeter above ground and visible was completed. There had to have been miscommunication because a stump grinder is not made to till the ground in search of roots under the surface if there isn’t a stump to start with. He admitted to hand-digging his yard. I was paid to grind the stumps, not remove them. The roots that were cut out of the ground were of large length, brought into the woods, and smaller pieces of roots were placed in a pile next to the area that was ground up. It was not requested of me to remove debris and roots from the job site. Upon completion, I raked over the yard and made sure the holes were backfilled and level with the ground. This is cleaning up. After explaining this to the customer via text, he stated, “Thank you for your time and have a blessed day.” I then apologized for his dissatisfaction and offered him a partial refund of $250. After that, things got ugly. If I wasn’t responding within 10 minutes of his text, he would write, “Sir??? Joe??? Is this thing on???” I told him I would respond to everything after I completed the job I was on. After reviewing the videos again, I told the customer I was not able to meet up with him (due to his expectations and a stump grinder not being what he needed to fulfill his request for the yard) to give him his refund and that it would be in the mail. This still didn’t satisfy the customer, and we were getting nowhere. I asked him to stop texting me due to his numerous responses (4 or 5 consecutive texts without giving me a chance to respond) and that a partial refund would be mailed to him. After he continued texting me, I ended up having to block him. I did not feel comfortable meeting up with him based on his odd texting and heated exchanges. He then proceeded to put reviews on ******** and message me more on ********* even AFTER I told him the check would be mailed in the morning. We both have the pictures, videos, and text messages for proof. I do not fear for my safety. I did not meet up with the customer simply because of his behavior and to protect my business. I have fantastic reviews and will continue to do so. I am deeply saddened that he was not satisfied with this job. This could have been resolved during our final walkthrough of his yard (which looked nothing like the videos and had no visible stumps, or else we would have seen them for me to complete before I left). I hope this customer finds what he is visualizing for his yard. Thank you, and I have learned from this experience. I will do better with more detailed invoices and before/after pictures moving forward.
