      I purchased a chair back on 1/6/23 to help with getting out of a chair. Upon delivery I initially liked the chair but soon discovered it became uncomfortable and I wanted to exchange the chair that I purchased for another chair. I complained about this chair several times to the company directly and they finally sent a rep out in Aug. who brought out a different chair. I liked the second chair and the young lady that brought it out told me it would be $200 more which I gave her in cash. They then came in the house and handed me the money back and they bought the old chair back in and that they couldn't leave the new chair until a contract was signed. I am now having issues with the chair that I don't want and they are trying to make me pay for warrantable repairs. I want to pay for the chair that was brought to my home in August. The company will now not communicate with me which is why I am filing this complaint.

      Dear Annie Footman:
      Thank you for reaching out to All Medical about the seat lift chair that your church member visited our store to purchase for you. You were unable to visit the store to choose the seat chair lift chair of your liking. We delivered the seat lift chair to your home on January 6, 2023. Weeks after the delivery, you reached out to us and stated that the seat lift chair was uncomfortable. In response to this, we sent a team member out with a different model for you to try. This seat lift chair did not meet your needs.

      We strongly encourage you to visit our store. By visiting our store, you can sit and try the seat lift chairs out for functionality and comfort which is not what you were able to do in January 2023. We understand that you did not have transportation to our store. We offered to pick you up one weekend to visit our store so that you could pick out a seat lift chair. You declined our offer to pick you up.

      With hopes of helping and satisfying you, we ordered a new seat lift chair in August to see if you would like it. Three team members visited your home for several hours to perform a trial fitting. You liked the seat lift chair, but you refused to sign any paperwork reflecting the exchange of your current seat lift chair and acknowledging that it would be a final sale once you took possession. Since you refused to sign the paperwork, we did not further the transaction.

      We have not heard from you since August 2023. You contacted the office on January 26, 2024, and said that your seat lift chair is not working. In response to your desired settlement, we are sorry, but we are unable to provide an exchange. The seat lift chair that we had for you in August is no longer available, and this offer no longer stands. We are very happy to assess your seat lift chair, Mrs. Footman, within reason to determine if it’s a warranty issue. Would you like your seat lift chair repaired? We look forward to hearing from you.
