    I contracted Emilio ******** to pour a basement for me. He personally brought the contract to my house on 10/11/22 but only on his phone. (no way for me to sign it) then he texted it to me and I gave him a check in the amount of $********. He started working on it on 10/15/22. He didn’t have a Skid steer to move the dirt so he asked to rent mine at the rate of $****** per day. He used it for 6 days and said he would deduct from invoice. ($*******) On 10/20/22 he told me he was ordering the forms for the foundation and needed another check for $******** which I gave him. He poured the cement in the forms for the walls on 10/31/22 and never came back after that date. I told him to frame in 5 windows and he only framed in one. The top of the walls is so rough that I can’t put a sill plate on until it is ground down. I have contacted ******* ************ for an estimate to cut the windows in and grind the top off they said approximately $****. The floor has never been poured and the foundation was not been back filled. I bought the rebar/ties and the base course. He was supposed to take that off the invoice also. I have asked him for an itemized list with invoices for the work he completed and he still has not provided this. I paid this ********** contractor Emilio ********, $******** and he will not reply to my phone calls, text messages or voicemails. I want a refund. He is running his contractor business under his SteamTek Cleaning business. I have the invoice that he sent me. I have also filed a complaint with the ** Attorney Generals office of Consumer Protection on 12/13/2022. He will not respond to them either. He will not provide me with a itemized list of the materials he purchased. I want at least $******** refunded to me.
