This facility is dishonest. I had Trigger injections done in the same room I had my consultation in a month later. They coded it as an operating charge instead of an office visit. This visit was less than 15 minutes and no different than an immunization visit. (They told me it is coded this way because it resulting in pricking the skin. (First representative) Second representative told me it was because it was done in a sterile room. I was told it was an office visit. Instead it was billed as an operating expensive and I now owe almost 1000.00 dollars. I was referred here from my primary care physician due to Rheumatoid Doctors not treating Fibromyalgia anymore. Patient Relations says it is accurate and will not bill properly. I would just like it to be billed honestly. It should not be an operating expense. It should have been a regular doctor’s appointment. The billing department and patient relations was not interested in being honest and billing properly. I was even told it is just how they code it even though it was in a regular doctor’s office. (Same one consultation was in) not a different environment at all. Sadly this is our health care system. Dishonest

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The Operating room charge in question does not indicate a location but a level or degree of technicality for the service. Trigger point injections are considerably different and more technical than an immunization. This charge has previously been reviewed by coding at the supervisory level and found to be correct and accurate for the services provided. Monument Health partners with a third party to annually review our pricing and it is comparable to healthcare systems of similar size and/or specialties in South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana.

I had an emergency visit. I was put through all kinds of testing, because your doctors could't figure out what was wrong, ending with a bill over $10,000, and to be put on an antibiotic. I was actively making payment and you sent me to collections. Your department is unreachable. If a private buisness worked the way you did it would shut down. I can't believe you have no ethics in the way operate. This system is so broken.

Good morning, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The patient received four monthly statements as well as several calls where we spoke directly with the patient, their spouse or the third-party agency they were using for assistance with their bill. Monument Health statements have a disclaimer on the front advising partial payments do not stop the collection process unless a payment arrangement has been made with us. The last two statements the patient received indicated "Final Notice" in red. Monument Health will not discuss billing arrangements with third parties and the patient did not reach out to discuss a payment plan until after their charges had cycled to collections. Thank you,

Don't expect them to contact you with how your loved ones are doing, even if you are a family member or have a medical Power of Attorney giving you the legal right to be informed. I was met with obstinence by the hostitalist at the fact that I should even request it. I wasn't asking for much, I just wanted to know when something serious was happening, like afib, bleading out and when my loved one was going into SURGERY! Even my dog in boarding, gives me notices about 3 times a day with just random updates. How do you think that makes your patient's loved one feel about your care. Since they don't care to ask, I'm telling everyone! everyway I can.

They do not follow proper protocol upon the request of a customer and or patient. They laugh at the customer and or patient they do not feel. They need to help the customer and or patient but make fun of them. They were told they had 10 minutes to have Nicholas call the number ending in 3410 time lapsed. The supervisor on the line who assisted us last week. They have yet to apologize for calling us for liars. When they have phone numbers in line, who to call first? In our opinion, they're trying to kill. My husband's mother if they truly care about their customer and/or patient. They would listen and not laugh at them. And do as they are told and asked

Our Patient Relation team will contact Mrs. Cleland to review the care issues for her mother-in-law. They will reach out to her to discuss her concerns. The billing issues with Nicholas were discussed last week and resolved. I am available at 605-755-7647 if there are any other billing concerns.

My wife was admitted into hospital Easter Sunday 9 April 23. She passed out at a restaurant. Has a history of passing out and irregular heart beats, stoke Feb 2022. After the doctors corrected her heart rhythm, she was released on 24th. Instructions to see her doctor. Doctor seen on 13th. Referrals to two; Monument neurologist-neurosurgeon. After passing out on 16th several times at home; contacted Dr. Schmidt scheduler on 17th. ..after explaining her passing out situation and that I quit my job to watch over her. 25 July is the appointment they gave me. UNACCEPTABLE! That’s 3 1/2 months! My wife’s life is at risk! Contacted Primary care provider, they are sorry but “they get the same thing”. Do I have to take my wife and stand outside the hospital and scream? … all your advertisements touting your wonder care! … are not holding up!!! How may I arrange to see a person who can advocate for my wife’s immediate medical needs? If this was your wife or husband … would 3 and 1/2 month’s wait be acceptable to you? If she or I were a senator would they have this kind of treatment? My wife’s life in my opinion is at risk! Please, don’t give me a cursory response. She had a stroke Feb 2022 …. She has been a patient of Dr Schmidt and Dr. Kim. A review of my wife’s records will show a seventy-two year old woman that is repeatedly passing out warrants immediate attention!

This hospital is dangerous. Everytime we use it we are told conflicting info about rules, regulations, policies, and laws. They have given my wife meds that she has allergies to. They accused me of abuse due to bruises that came about due to the hospital trying to give my wife an IV. One Dr states we are not allowed to use a particular med but then a different Dr orders the med. Multiple Drs have said med x is never used but my wife has been given that med numerous times at this hospital. We absolutely do not feel safe here but this is the only option.
