    The moving guys were contacted by my Father ******* ***** on 05.16.23 during that call he scheduled a move for 06.22.23. They told him he must pay for the move in advance and there were zero forms of a contract. He gave them his account and they withdrew the discussed fee of $5500. A few weeks later we decided it was best for him to cancel. Prior to cancelling, we reviewed their website and with have no contracts understanding he should review his money back as no service was provided and their should not be a fee as this was being cancelled with more than a 24h notice and there is nothing in writing indicating a certain timeframe to cancel without fees or that cancelations are subjects to fees. We received $4750 back in the form of a check (with delays) and when we asked about the cancelation fee, I specifically asked where it was written, where was the contract, or policy stating this information and how and when this information was delayed. I was informed that ******* was informed of this information by an employee when he canceled and that is it. ******* is elderly, hearing impaired and is having difficulties making rational decisions - when I explained this, and how it was not legal to charge this fee the response from the company is that their lawyers will respond to the dispute, not attempting to come to an agreement or make it right. Hotels and other service industry's require a min. of a 24 hour cancelation without fees. And I believe this company is partaking in illegal business by not disclosing proper fees or setting up contracts. We have zero documentation of the service scheduled except phone records, bank statements of the withdrawn amount and amount credited. The company wouldn't cut the check when request on 06.20.2023 when my father was in town and after many calls to the office and voicemails later, the office called us back on 06.28.2023 saying they would cut the check and mail. I said I would pick up in person and was giving 10 minutes.
