see attached I had moved to Sioux Falls South Dakota on March 1st_ of this year. I drove a 26 foot ****** *****, pulled my car and my cats. When I arrived on a Thursday night, March 2nd .l had gone to several motels in the area. They had a snow mobile contest going on and not many rooms. My 5th motel, the Baymont, I had the unfortunate experience I am about to tell you. I booked for one week seeking out the best rate. As you can see from my paper work, it was a very expensive week. It was an expensive lesson. As you can see from the paper work, I was charged $15.00 a night for a cat alone. I am a 68 year old woman with a knee and hip problem It has not been easy for me to get around. It takes me longer because of my hip especially. On day 8, after realizing I could not afford to stay in that motel with those prices I then sought out the help of a motel manager, ***** ******. I had not seen *** ****** the prior week. After speaking to him, it was my understanding he had just returned to the Baymont. I approached ********* and asked him what it would cost me to continue to stay there since it would take a while to find a place to live. *** ****** stated that I would be locked into a $55.00 a night rate and not to worry about it because it would automatically keep me at that rate. ********* then informed that after anyone moves to South Dakota, after one month you are automatically granted residency, thereby giving you back every penny you Spent on taxes. After the month, *** ****** informed that he did the paper work for the tax refund and that I had almost as much as I was spending for one week going back onto my Sam's credit card. Three hundred and some dollars. I was quite happy to hear this. *** ****** was working with me. I did not believe for one second that I had anything to worry about. $55.00 a night was high, but considering my hip and knee condition I thought it was best to just stay there. Nothing was ever mentioned that this $55.00 a night would end. I was extremely shocked when I checked on my credit card.
