June 28,2024 Our son noticed some water damage in the kitchen wall area close tot he floor. The guy said there was a water leak from the shower on the other side of the wall and that it had been repaired. He stated the perform a 100 point inspection before anyone takes possession of campers. The dash air did not work at all. I pulled over and started the genset. The gen set spit and sputtered and it quit on way home as well. I called the salesman and he said to bring it back and they would look at it, We got it home and plugged the motorhome into our utility pole and the air units on the roof worked fine. That night I took a shower and it leaked on the floor and wall of kitchen. I caulked the area around the shower as I found where it leaked. It rained that night and I woke up as my head, pillow and bedding was wet. The slide out over the bed leaked. I got a ladder out and looked up there the caulking was dried out and cracked along the edge. The vinyl material inside also was sagging from previous damage. I was forced to accept that they buy it back from us for $15000, no return. I said I would rent it for the 3 days and he said it was mine. I was forced to pay sales tax and transfer the title with a cost of around $1200 to the our county treasurer. The unit was in another person name and had not been transferred to the dealerships name. We sold it back to them for the $15000 with a loss of $10000 for 3 days or so. Their documentation stated for South Dakota to register the vehicle within 45 days to avoid penalties and interest. Today 11/6/2024 the South Dakota Department of Revenue that there was a question about a vin on a Damon vehicle. We called the state and had found out the motorhome is still in our name after selling it back to them on 7/8/24. They want a picture of vin plate and a copy of the letter returned tot he state before they can proceed. It sates if we don't respond to this request within 60 days may not be able renew the registration.

My husband and I went to Gavin Point to look at campers. Our sales person was not true to us when asked questions. This transaction happened on April 29 we called the next day to back out of the deal. They said we could not back out we had committed. With everything we have purchased they did not share with us that we were unable to back out . They were not truthful and feel they did not carry through with there part of the contract . I even shared with them that (Deloris) I signed papers with my wrong signture. they just said if that what we thought was going to get us out of the deal we were wrong. Well they did not do walk around before pulling camper out to our site. Which if they would have done we would not have taken because we had asked several times if water heater was gas and electric. they would not answer. After they pulled it out to the site informed us that was charged *** dollars we tried talking with them about not wanting this camper because they had not told use that the water heater was gas only. After several attempt to work things out and get no response. We feel as a customer we were wrongfully missed led when purchasing this camper and we had contacted ************ about them not doing a walk around because the air conditioner is very loud and if things would have been done correctly then we would have not taken this camper. So our dispute is feeling mislead and them not dealing with it . We are from **** so were not informed that when titling the camper laws are different so has cost us more with out being told. We feel very missed led and feel that papers were pushed at us to sign and were not read or going over gave us no time to think feel like a scam and have tried dealing with them several times but never seemed to want to resolve our problem . My husband I feel this business is taking advantage of customers. We had talked with other dealers and they would have let us back out of the deal but this dealer did not tell us things up front

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/21) */ We are schocked at this customer's complaint. This is a repeat customer at our business. Purchasing two campers from us last year. The second one, after the first one the customer stated was a mistake and wanted to back out at that time due to the bed not being easy to get around (despite having inspected and looked at the camper on several occassions). Next the purhcase a second camper from us in 2021. Now a 3rd camper from us in 2022 to which they are referring now. At our dealership a customer has several opportunities to back out of a deal if they decide he/she does not wish to purchase a camper. First, the customer chooses a camper he/she likes on the day of touring campers. That camper than is later preppedfor delivery and paperwork prior to being delivered and transferred to the customer. This camper was decided upon by the customer on April 28th and not delivered to the customer and paperwork was not finalized until May 3rd. That is nearly a week later. This customer was given a week to think about their purchase prior to committing to the purchase. A customer can always back out of a deal prior to it being delivered. Unforunately, this customer has had buyer's remore with all three of their campers from Gavins Point. He/She always presents an issue after delivery that they calim to have not been made aware of despite numerous opportunities to inspect the camper and a full delivery by our camper delivery specialist prior to transfer of the camper. In this particuliar instance, we have had to place a restraining order on this customer as her husband recently lunged at one of our employees, our delivery specialist when he was going over the camper with the customer at the time of delivery. **************************************************** This customer has a very volatile temper and it is unfortunate that despite several positive interactions with this customer, this customer still possesses buyer's remorse. We have attempted to resolve this customer's discrepancies on several occassions. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) we do not except there response because they lie and when we wanted to back out they said no we could not and now there saying we could . Even after we told them in **** you have X amount of day to back out and they said no. We have talked with a lawyer and explained our side and this is what we were told 1 No walk through before camper leaving there lot breach of contract.2 ******** put rating. But we had talked several times and then was going to let us go to travel camper but sold from under us this company just continue to lie ********************************** that speaks of them lying I have found that this company talks out of both ends And like I said we have had lawyer advice . Like now they say we could have cancelled but that is not what they said and they were very aggressive to get it to our spot. That explain there actions of why they did what they did because I work in customer service also and if a customer was displeased and not satisfied I would not push them into taking something just to make a sale and that is what this company did. But this is not going to get resolved Because we have decided we want nothing to do with this business and all I can do is follow Lawyer advice and let people know what kind of business they have cause we feel like we were totally mislead. Like the propane bottles were not even filled but were told they were. It is just one thing after another. But please lets stop business that take advantage of customers. Gavin point lie and says they will do one thing but then when you go in and try and resolve they have sold from under you. Like we had a travel camper and sold from under us.
