On November 21, 2023, I contacted **** at Redemption about a broken brick on the steps to our front porch. After sending him pictures of the steps, he gave me an estimate, over the phone, of $450 to replace the brick and seal any other cracks in the steps. We agreed to the price, and he sent out two workers the next day to repair the steps. However, when they arrived, they said they could not remove the broken brick and instead, cemented the two halves together, assuring me that it would hold. Because the brick was repaired and not replaced, **** reduced the payment to $350, and I paid with a check. Less than a month later, the brick was broken again, and the sealant used on the cracks around the steps had all but washed away. I contacted **** by text on December 15, 2023 to advise him of the problem and requested that he send someone out to correct it. On December 20, he replied that he would check his schedule and get back with me. Over a month passed with no reply from ****, so I sent him another text on January 23, 2024, asking that he either send someone out to repair the step or refund the payment. He said he would have someone out the following Tuesday, January 30. On Monday, January 29, one of his workers called me to reschedule for Wednesday, January 31. I agreed and arranged to be home that day. No one showed up. I texted **** again on Thursday, February 8. **** said he had someone in the area but they couldn't get ahold of me. I made a point of being home all that week, and had my phone with me. No one tried to contact me by phone or in person. Since then, I have texted **** on Friday, March 8, Thursday, March 14, Tuesday, March 19, Tuesday March 26, and finally on Tuesday April 2 without a single reply. Each time I texted, I said I wanted a resolution and would be satisfied with someone coming out to repair the step or having a refund issued. I have not heard back from anyone since February.
