Thank you for your review. I have reviewed your account and noticed that the credit card that was on file, was not able to be drafted on its draft day. At that point, late fees are added. We wish you the best moving forward with your fitness journey.

If you are looking for a gym membership, join elsewhere. Based on my experience and apparently several others on here as well, it appears their business plan is to trap people into memberships by making it next to impossible to cancel while continuing to charge you. I have spent the better part of a year and several phone calls trying to cancel my membership. Three times on the phone I was told it was cancelled only to be charged the next month again. I finally had to cancel my credit card to keep the charges from continuing, only to find a rather aggressive collections department started hounding me for continuing charges that weren't mine. On my fourth call yesterday, I was told I had to cancel on the website or by sending an email AND bringing my account current or it would not be cancelled and would continue to collect additional charges. In my book that is pretty close to extortion. Either way, I wanted to be done with it so I tried to go the route I was told only to find that the website does not work, it does not allow me to create an account (needed to pay the bill). Everything about this screams SCAM that they are just trying to continue to collect monthly fees as long as possible. Reading the other reviews, I want to add that I was told in no uncertain terms that 1) I could not cancel on the phone and 2) nobody would have told me my account was canceled on the phone. In other words I am a liar. But if you read additional reviews, other people were having the same issue and were told on the phone their account was cancelled. So ......

ATC thanks you for your review. We understand that you gave us a 1 star. However, we do not feel this is a fair score based on the actual events that took place. We did everything we could to explain to you the exact way a cancellation needed to take place so there are zero discrepancies for the cancellation. ATC does not accept cancellations over the phone. The only two ways to accept cancellation is by logging into ***************** and submitting a cancellation, or you may send an email to *************************** stating your intentions to cancel.

In either case, once you have submitted the cancellation request, your account must be at a zero balance for the cancellation to finalize. All of these procedures are explained at the time of signing up for the membership as well as when a customer reaches out to be refreshed on how to cancel. ATC feels like we did everything we could to explain correctly to this member on how to cancel. It is unfortunate that those procedures were not followed.
