I was parked with a semi truck at a plaza I was a patron using the gym and grocery store at the plaza. There were only a couple of signs that were not visible and not in accordance to city ordinances. The entrance we came in had no signs. We were gone for *** an hour. According to the documentation they themselves provided it was 1:15 minutes from the moment they towed my truck to the moment I paid. In total they are charging me for 7 hours of labor and its outrageous. This does not include the 200 dollars I was charged for 24 hr storage but my tractor and trailer were on their lot for a ***imum of one hour. They did not provide me with the police control notification number and would not even give me a break down of charges until I paid the ****. When I requested it, they said they were not able to provide that information and if I did not pay I would have to wait till Monday to get my truck. If I waited to find out about the outrageous charges I would have to pay an additional 200 per day for Saturday and Sunday waiting so that I could talk to someone about these charges. I have researched the ordinances of towing in the *************** and have concluded that this towing company has violated section 6-88-15 section B, section 6-88-7 subsection B and c section 6-88-9 section B. I have contacted the *************** department that oversees the towing companies and I am trying to get a refund since July 2023. Still hoping they will be able to get money back for illegal towing procedures. We took it a step further and called the towing company and requested a quote for moving the same type of truck and trailer for same distance and they gave me a 500 *** quote. The charges and time they charged for are outrageous and illegal. Hope this place gets looked into because they are taking advantage of people.Initial Complaint

Urgent Complaint: Unethical Practices by A1's Towing and Hauling I am addressing my concerns involving A1's Towing and Hauling in *******, **, and seek your intervention. Our experiences have raised significant doubts about their towing practices and potential legal violations, leading us to escalate this matter to the Office of the ********* Attorney General, ****************************.On 07/24/23, A1's Towing and Hauling impounded our truck and trailer as one unit. The impoundment occurred at 9:55am, and the equipment was delivered to A1's storage by 10:50am on the same day. A1's Towing and Hauling invoiced us an unjust $3,000.00, citing 3.5 hours of towing, a $150.00 lockout fee, and $400.00 for two days of storage. Our objection is rooted in evidence contradicting A1's claims. GPS data and video footage confirm our truck and trailer were towed together. Unauthorized access and driving of our truck by A1's Towing and Hauling, a violation of ********* law, were also revealed. Despite our attempts to resolve the dispute, we paid the unjust $3,000.00 under duress.Just six days later, A1's Towing and Hauling impounded our truck and trailer again, this time at a ************ station in *******. Despite towing both in 20 minutes, A1's Towing and Hauling invoiced a staggering $2,800.00.These incidents highlight a pattern of predatory towing practices, as detailed in an article by *********************** on August 29, 2023, raising ethical and legal concerns about A1's Towing and Hauling. ************ ordinance explicitly caps tow rates at $350.00 per hour for commercial vehicles. We kindly request your office's intervention and investigation into A1's Towing and Hauling. We seek scrutiny of their towing practices, billing procedures, and compliance with ********* consumer protection laws. Assistance in resolving the unjust charges incurred is also requested. We can provide additional evidence upon request. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.Initial Complaint

Our encounter with ****************** LLC (A1's Towing and Hauling) at *****************************************************************, was highly unprofessional and illegal. On August 5th, 2023, our parked truck at an ********* station was swiftly booted by an ****************** LLC tow truck driver as our driver returned. This action violated *******, ** Code of Ordinances, Sec. 11-70-8(B), as our driver attempted to retrieve the vehicle before booting. The tow truck driver, visibly armed and intimidating, ignored this and demanded an excessive fee of $272.95 for boot removal. This fee greatly exceeded the legal limit of $50, outlined in Sec. 11-70-8(C). Despite sending payment through Zelle, the driver threatened to tow the vehicle if the payment didn't clear in minutes. This rush prevented us from utilizing other payment methods, violating our rights under city ordinances which require multiple payment options. After many setbacks, we were forced to pay $1,475.00 in cash to retrieve the truck, although the initial towing cost was claimed to be $415.00. This discrepancy shows dishonesty. The towing company also failed to adhere to Sec. 11-70-8(D), refusing acceptable payment methods like credit cards. The whole ordeal led to missed work opportunities, hotel expenses, and Uber payments while resolving the situation. Our request is for a thorough investigation into these illegal practices. We are ready to cooperate fully to halt these violations and seek justice.Initial Complaint
