I shipped a fresh bouquet of flowers to Stag Ridge Mercantile from Montana to Tennessee overnight through UPS to get preserved. This initial UPS shipment from MT to TN was $278.35. The shipment arrived safely. Once the final product (preservation of flowers in a frame) was completed, the seller shipped them to the final shipping address in Michigan. The product arrived damaged with shattered glass. The product was $368.01, of which the seller plans to refund. Although the frame was wrapped in packing wrap, the frame was not fully secured in the box. I requested a refund for both the flowers and the initial shipment because the product was damaged. Seller refuses to pay for initial shipment costs. This means that I, the buyer, will lose $278.35. The damaged product was on behalf of the seller. I do not have the tracking number for the second shipment from TN to MI as that was paid by the seller. I do have the tracking number from the first shipment by UPS, of which I called and they said they hold no responsibility. The buyers total costs was of the initial shipment ($278.35) and product ($368.01) was a total of$646.36.

    Business Response

    Good evening.

I apologize for the delay responding to this case. This is the first time I have seen a complaint from the BBB and just saw it come up in our email.

The client, Yayliin Lopez purchased a wedding flower frame from us and 3 ornaments which totaled ******** ******* was refunded to the client for the damaged frame that was shipped to her. The remaining *** was not refunded to her which was for the 3 ornaments which were not damaged during shipping. I attached screenshots of the invoices sent to the client, two refunded amounts totaling $303.01, communication with the client, and a breakdown of the invoice in this response.

We are not responsible for any expenses a client makes outside of our business. It is entirely the client's responsibility to have their flowers delivered to us. Some clients ship flowers to us and others drop them off locally. Please let us know if you need any more information regarding this case as we will gladly help.

    Thanks,

    Stag Ridge LLC
