This company attempted to bill my visa card on July 9 in the amount of $39.90 for an unknown unspecified service or product. My financial institution ****** * ****** ***** raised a red flag and filed a fraud report on my behalf.

      Business response

      07/23/2024

Mr. ***** signed up for services on May 1, from an IP address form the same city he is located. During that online signup, he completed a 4-page process that required his date of birth, social security number, full credit card, and billing information, as well as completing a third-party identity verification. Further, when Mr. ***** signed up he was sent a welcome email, which contained the order information/cost as well as the methods in which we can be reached for assistance or cancellation. Mr. ***** could have contacted us at any time to cancel, however, this complaint is the first notice we have received indicating that Mr. ***** wished to discontinue services.  Upon receipt of this complaint Mr., ******* account was immediately cancelled, and as such we request this complaint be closed.

This company is taking 39.90 every month for 7 months when I called and canceled the membership I never ordered. They never had authority to charge me anything but I kept seeing the charge on my card statement. When I call the number I talk to a machine and no way to get a person. So after numerous different attempts to cancel and get refund from the number they provide on my statement I'm filing this hoping to get the hundreds they have stolen from me

Ms. ****** signed up for services on March 16, from an IP address in Portland Or, the same state/area in which she resides. During that online signup, she completed a 4-page process that required her date of birth, social security number, full credit card, and billing information, as well as completing a third-party identity verification with the credit bureau. Further, when Ms. ****** signed up she was sent a welcome email, which contained the order information/cost as well as the methods in which we can be reached for assistance or cancellation, which was sent to the same email address that was used on this BBB complaint. Ms. ****** signed up for services and authorized the billing, and as such no one has "stolen" anything from her. Additionally, Ms. ****** has only been billed for 2 monthly fees, not the "months" she claims. As Ms. ********* did sign up, was cancelled when she requested on May 9,  as well as the fact she made erroneous statements, we request this complaint be closed and removed from view.

Earlier this month I saw a popup ad on a cable news site. The ad promised to provide a credit score for $1.00. I answered all their questions and stupidly gave them my bank debit card information. They sent me what they claim is my credit score from one of the credit reporting companies. The ad did not clearly state that, in addition to the $1.00 withdrawal that I knew about, they would henceforth withdraw $39.90 each month from my account for supposed "credit monitoring." I never requested this service nor did they ever properly inform me of this. They did their initial withdrawal of $39.90 on April 15, 2024. When I saw this transaction, I called Golden Scores, LLC and demanded that they cancel this service and for them to cease any further withdrawals. I also demanded that they refund the unauthorized withdrawal of $39.90. They emailed back that they would cancel the service and stop future withdrawals but have said nothing about refunding the $39.90. I went back and looked at their ad and after the very end of the process and the customer has received their credit score, they have language saying that they will withdraw the $39.90 each month. But this is after the transaction is complete, so very few customers would think to go back on the ad and scroll down the page to see the disclosure language of the $39.90 charge each month. They deliberately hid this language in a place where they knew nobody will see it. That way they can claim that they disclosed this charge when they really didn't. I want them to refund the $39.90.

Mr. ****** makes several contradictory statements. Firstly, Mr. ****** says he signed up then states he never requested the service when in fact that is exactly what he did when he went through the sign up process for the $1- 7 day trial., There is no hidden language. The site clearly and conspicuously stated the offer terms at the beginning. and again at the end of the signup. Those terms included the date the trial would end and the fact that the customer would be billed $39.90 per month after the trial. This same information was reiterated in the Welcome email sent to Mr. ****** on the date of sign up. Mr. ****** contacted customer service on April 14 and requested the account to be cancelled and it was canceled immediately. Mr. ****** has been refunded by his financial institution. As Mr. ****** made several untrue statements and was cancelled when requested and has received reimbursement we request this complaint not only be closed but removed from public view.

I was applying online for a medical loan, and it required a credit check through this company in order to be processed. I tried to call several times to cancel, however the wait time was so long and finally was connected but my cancellation was not done because on 03/21/2024 my checking account was debited $39.90 from this business. This is a fraud, and also agent did not follow through on my cancellation. I was going to have my bank / BBB follow through to be refunded.

      Business response

We are not a loan company, nor do we provide credit checks for businesses. We exclusively work direct with consumers. Ms. ******** , signed up for our credit monitoring service on March 12. She was provided access to her credit reports and scores as part of the service. Ms. ******** reached out to customer service via online chat asking general questions, however she did not request cancelation. When she was ready to cancel, all she had to do was go back to the online chat and request cancelation. Instead the first notice of her desire to cancel is via this complaint. Upon receipt her account was canceled. A courtesy refund has been issued. Due to the untrue statements made in the complaint as well as the defamatory language used in the complaint we request the complaint be closed and removed from public view.

Apparently $39.95 per month was taken from my checking account since Dec 2021. I tried to log in but I didn't have the username or password. I tried to reset by my email and there was no account with my email. I obviously didn't set it up. When I called they tried all my phone numbers and couldn't find an account. Totally fraud but they wouldn't give me my money back. I would have calked much sooner but I thought it was a different bill for my water filtering. My daughter caught it, or I'd still be getting ripped off.

We are in receipt of Ms. ******* complaint. Ms. ***** signed up for a $1 7-day trial services from an IP address in ********* ******* *** the same state/area in which she resides. During that online signup, she completed a 4-page process that required her date of birth, social security number, full credit card, and billing information, as well as completing a third-party identity verification with the credit bureau. If Ms. ***** had given customer service her work email at ******** *****, which is the one used during signup, the account would have been found. All the other contact information matches what is on the complaint.
Ms. ***** never attempted to cancel prior to March 27th, when she called customer service. March 27 is the first time we had any indication that Ms. ***** wished to discontinue services, and her account was cancelled immediately upon her request. As she did agree to the billing she was not eligible for any refunds, however, as a courtesy a refund has been issued. As Ms. ****  did sign up, did authorize the fees and was cancelled as soon as she contacted customer service, we request this complaint be closed. Because she indicated she was ripped off, which she was not, we ask that the complaint be removed from public view.

In fact I always give my bank account info if I sign up with any company. I did sign up with **************** and gave them info linked to my **** *** account but I soon cancelled my subscription, even though their still trying to take money out of my account as well. 3goldscr is trying every few days to take money from my account. While I've been writing this complaint I've been on hold with 3goldscr for 19 minutes. This company needs to leave me alone and stop trying to steal money from my account

We are in receipt of Ms. ******** complaint. After review of the complaint, fact is that Ms. ******** adult daughter, ******* *****, signed up for the services using Ms. ******** credit card. Money was not "stolen" from her account as she claimed. If her daughter used her card without her permission, that is a private issue between them.
A request to cancel the account was made by phone on March 25th. The account was canceled that day. Since Ms. ****** falsely stated we stole money from her, when it was her daughter who signed up, we ask the complaint be removed and closed.

This company offers no services after the 1.00 dollar trial period. They attempt to charge you 31.99 after that for nothing. Can’t find a way to cancel nor contact customer service. They are a scam.

      Business response

The service Mr. ********* signed up for was 24/7 credit monitoring of the three main credit bureau files. This service was provided on behalf of Mr. ********* from day one. In addition to that service, he was given access to his credit scores and reports as well as many other benefits. A confirmation of the services. was included on the welcome email/transaction receipt. Included in that email was instructions on multiple ways to contact customer service including logging into his account to cancel. The first notice we have received that Mr. ********* wished to discontinue membership was the receipt of this complaint. Upon receipt of the complaint Mr. *********** account was immediately cancelled, and even though he was not eligible for any refunds, a courtesy refund was issued. As Mr. *********** desired resolution has been met, we request this complaint be closed and removed from public view due to the defamatory statements.

I originally signed up for this service on a trial, but called to cancel it. Low and behold, by the time I noticed it, I had been charged for four months. I called and got an automated system, assuring me they would cancel my subscription and send me a refund. That was in November 2023. I have subsequently called monthly and have been assured my refund was coming in 3-7 business days. This morning (March 2024) and was informed a higher up manager declined my refund, as they claimed it was a valid charge. It wasn't a valid charge and they are committing fraud, in addition to the fact I was lied to for months about a forthcoming refund. This company is nothing but a scam and their "customer service" staff blatantly lie when you call them.

As Ms. ******* indicated she did sign up for services. We apologize for any difficulty the customer had in obtaining her requested courtesy refund. Her account has in fact been canceled, and the requested refund has been issued. We apologize for the inconvenience.  As Ms. ********* desired resolution has been met, we request this complaint be closed and removed from public view due to the defamatory statements

***** *********** complaint is that the card was charged several times. The reason for this is that they signed up for services in September from an IP address in the same state/area in which they resides, giving authorization to charge the card. The receipt of this complaint is the first notice we have received indicating that ***** ********** wished to discontinue services. Upon receipt of this complaint ***** **********'s account was immediately cancelled. As ***** ********** did sign up, never contacted us directly to cancel we request this complaint be closed.

My bank received a false charge from this place in the amount of 29.95. I have never heard of this place. I definitely don't do free trials because I forget to cancel them. Now after reading the complaints I've seen where they say the IP address came from that person. I believe I've been hacked. I most definitely know I only work with ****** ***** for any credit issues. Nvr a 3rd party sounding place. Id really like answers!!!

Ms. ********* signed up for services on December 6, from an IP address in the same state/area in which she resides. During that online signup, she completed a 4-page process that required her date of birth, social security number, full credit card, and billing information, as well as completing a third-party identity verification with the credit bureau, making it extremely unlikely that she was "hacked".  Further, when Ms. ********* signed up she was sent a welcome email, which contained the order information/cost as well as the methods in which we can be reached for assistance or cancellation, which was sent to the same email address that was used on this BBB complaint. The receipt of this complaint is the first notice we have received indicating that Ms. ********* wished to discontinue services. Upon receipt of this complaint Ms. *********** account was immediately cancelled. As Ms. ********* did sign up, never contacted us directly to cancel as well as the fact she made slanderous statements, we request this complaint be closed and removed from view.
