I made a payment of $40 to sunrise acceptance and I told Bethany that it was all I had and she said it was ok. I told her I didn’t get paid again until August 19th and I would give her the rest then. Today 8/10 they are saying that they told me that they said I had to pay them on 8/5 and said I had until Friday 8/12 to pay them or they were taking my vehicle. I have never been behind on the loan before. And I have checked resources and it’s not 90 days late, it is only 33 days past due. They are being ridiculous and out of line.Business response

I am refinance my vehicle and i cant get Sunrise Acceptance to give me my information that i need to do so. Its like they are taking it personal. The company i am refinance with contacted them and they were so unprofessional and would not help her. So then i called and the same happened to me. I have submitted a handwritten fax requesting my information to get this refinancing done, not sure what kind of problems i am going to run into. I have never dealt with a company like this. There has been one lady in the passed at sunrise who was helpful and nice but have not been able to contact her.Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to comment. To protect the privacy of customers, we follow certain procedures before we give out account information. Once we obtained written permission from the customer, we provided the information requested within an hour. We received payment from the finance company two days later and we mailed the title the next day. My husband and I had purchased an auto from **** **** in Knoxville, TN. Around the end of 2019. From the day we bought it there was numerous problems that we had complained about and sought help from the dealership. We had our financing through Sunrise Acceptance out of Chattanooga, TN. In the fall of 2020 and making payments monthly till than and numerous complaints about the transmission problems while on vacation in NY state the transmission finally went. We called and told them to come take it as a voluntary repossession. We had made our payments and they failed to supply a running vehicle. Again we voluntarily surrendered the vehicle. I went to do a major purchase in the last few days and have been informed that on my credit report Credit Acceptance has it listed as an involuntary repossession. On top of the harassment received over this vehicle and the endless bills for the vehicles payments still coming in and now finding out this fraudulent trick very poor on your behalf.Business response

Charged us way more than car was worth. Made all payments on time. My husband lost his job of 16 years due to covid and tally or her manager refused to work with us. We missed I montly payment and they Repossessed the vehicle with no warning.Business response

We got caught up in this company's easy to buy vehicles and we were desperate and they knew it. Got into a Ford Explorer xlt worth about $4000 and they're charging us $14,000, young and dumb but will never make this mistake again. My husband recently was in the hospital finding out about a brain aneurysm and multiple other health issues making him miss 2 weeks of work. He explained this to tally and her supervisor (and can even provide proof) and we offered to catch up on payments even though they were grossly overcharging and screwing us we only have one vehicle and can't buy anything else right now but they said they wouldn't even accept that without the full $610 (which is including a large late payment I'm assuming considering we're 27 days late at 121 a week) so now we have to sit sick to our stomachs wondering if we will have a car to take our 8 yr old child to school and if we will have a way to work furthering our problems. This company has ZERO compassion for people. I understand paying my bills but it has been a rough time for us all and it's be nice not to deal with such greediness. Every other dealership I know would offer a deferment or something but they just want to take our only means of transportation.Business response

I have a 2010 Chevy Camaro from easy auto /sunrise acceptance the car is worth no where near what they're charging me I don't want to have a repo on my credit report and I keep having problems with the car. The first 4 months I had it had to put 2500 into fixing it then another 1000 now it's messing up again and easy auto doesn't care where they sent it to fix the first time I got charged for stuff that wasn't done. I'm paying 600$ a month for a 12 year old vehicle that's a lemon. I want to send it back but I don't want a repo on my credit or to have my wages garnished for a car they sell at auction because they know won't get what they're asking out of it then go and garnish my wages and put it on my credit reportBusiness response

Hi, my name is ************* i use to be named *****************. I have a debt with sunrise I tried to make a payment and work with them on multiple occasions they will not let me make any payments on the debt unless I give them the full amount of $7,156 which in all fair no one has that amount of money just sitting in an account. for the settlement I have never in my life had anyone refuse to allow me to make a payment to an account I owned . I would like to file a complaint and see what I need to do to get this taken care of I am a resident of Alabama I did purchase the debt in Tennessee. But Sunrise has given me nothing but trouble since 2018 when it fell into collections. *******************************************Business response

I bought a car from easy auto in Rome and the finance company is Sunrise Acceptance. The car for the most part right now is descent but I think I'm paying to much for what the car is worth. I recently had a health issue and had to pay doctor expenses. Sunrise Acceptance refused to help me without proof. I sent over my bank statement and they still wanted more documentation. They refusing to help made me late paying my rent and an eviction filed. Had to pay a lot extra to get out of eviction because my rental history had been top notch before that incident happened. I called and told them that even though I get paid bi weekly that I wanted to be put on weekly payments because it's easier when rent time comes around. They told me to pay $400 and something then if I wanted to be put on weekly. I really refuse to talk with anyone there since that incident because they are very rude and unprofessional and not really willing to help anyone out. I also just paid a partial payment and they did not apply to my acct. but yet already saying it's been processed on their end. It's saying my past due is still $271.11. I'm trying but they are not understanding and telling me that I haven't had the car very long and that I have no grace period. Every since I got that eviction and had to go into my savings to get it taken off I've been struggling. It's not like I'm not paying anything. I sent them a payment but they aren't applying it to my balance owed.Business response
