This issue began February 22, 2022 when First Farmers Merchants bank began an update to their computer system. I had always been able to check my balance and transactions on my computer at home. I have had a checking account there for many years. From the beginning when the change started I could not access my account from my computer at home. I called the customer service center numerous times. I went to their location and to the northside location for help. Nothing happened, meanwhile I began having numerous overdraft fees added to my account. At first they seemed somewhat willing to help but none of their suggestions worked. I did not have a smart phone nor could I afford a smart phone to add their app. Meanwhile fees excalated from the overdraft department (*************). I am a retired person and live on fixed income one month alone there were overdrafts of over $***. Not one time did I receive a phone call from a caring customer service individual to put in extra effort to get the problem worked out. I know I did not have any problem on my computer at home until the change over started. I have since opened an account at another bank and I am able to access my account on my computer at home without any issues or changes on my part at home. Also, no one suggested changing my account over to where I was not having a service fee charged each month.. I found out in June that I did not have to have a service charge each month. I did not change banks sooner because I assumed these problems would be worked out. Also. my social security check was deposited there each month and I had checks out. I also spoke with ************** who is over customer service regarding my issues. She said she could not overrule************* decision. The problem had to be on their side because I have had no problems at my current bank. To know that I was struggling and I received no mercy and little assistance speaks shameful customer service to me. 3 months overdraft
