1 starIn May 2024, my home sustained significant external damage due to a hailstorm. I filed a claim with my insurance company in March, and within a few days, my husband received a call from an adjuster, who stated that he would assess the property within a couple of days, weather permitting. When the adjuster arrived, he contacted my husband again to inform him that the roof was too steep to inspect and that a roofing company would be sent to evaluate it. My husband then inquired about the damage to the siding, but the adjuster indicated that he would need to return for further evaluation, which seemed like an attempt to avoid a thorough inspection. The adjuster later returned, took several photos, and informed us that only a few areas of the home would need to be replaced, providing an estimate for the insurance payout after our deductible. However, after obtaining quotes from contractors, it became clear that the amount offered by the insurance company would not cover the necessary repairs. Additionally, I was told that the siding material was discontinued, and a supervisor suggested we remove siding from a less visible part of the home to make repairs, using a similar material where necessary. This solution was deeply frustrating, especially considering that my home is less than 10 years old. I pay insurance premiums precisely to cover situations like this, only to be told that this was the best the company could do. Moreover, it’s worth noting that several of our neighbors, who have the same insurance company and live just a few hundred feet away, had their roofs, siding and other structures replaced, including both houses and shops. Other nearby homes, which also experienced significant damage, received more comprehensive assistance.Review fromjohn s

1 startried to get information from my agent "Spencer" on what replacement value of my two vehicles would be and he couldn't help. He passed the buck and sent me on a roller coaster ride of transfers to claims. They said they couldn't help me and that it was my agent's job to get the answer. my vehicles are older now and have no lien so should I or shouldn't I have comp/collision?Review fromBridget K

1 starHello... Not too happy with farm bureau. As black woman i've had a policy with them for over 20 years I always thought the company was Okay when My policy was written My first location was hendersonville tn The experience that was racist there you pay them each month and they give you no understanding when you ask question and they keep information from you. Instead of explaining things when you ask beat and around the bush characters I made a change to a different office located in Goodlettsville Visit a couple of months back Notice new employee named Mr.k**** I believe We sit and talk about My policies He encouraged me to drop my policy After twenty years why would someone say that's not helpful and that it would be going up by the month of december 2023 Around $80 to 90 dollars each month How would he know that without showing me After dinner I just couldn't take anymore. I moved to another office which was near jefferson street Nashville ....Sit down had a conversation insurance dropped and went into a whole policy So grateful I was able to keep it after this man tried to manipulate me into paying a higher policy. I guess to give him more money on his cheek I read right through this man. He's a racist he takes advantage of colored people. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. If there is anyone reading this comment and you're black please contact This must stop no telling how many high policies black and brown people are paying. Thank youReview frombrandie n

My dad passed five months ago this month (Nov) we have been fighting the insurance company on his policy he left to kids. Not only have we turned in all documents but we was told things was in the process to finalize things to be sent to the beneficiaries on his policy. After contacting the company nonstop trying to get updates, they are dragging there feet with no response. Not only has the claim compliance lady been contacted but she never responds to things other than it has been sent for processing. I have contacted the supervisor for this lady and have not been contacted back. as we have just been trying to get things final so hopefully we can do our best to move forward, this company has made it impossible, exhausting and very stressful. I do not recommend dong any kind of business with this company and most defiantly not for any life insurance policy. No one should be treated the way this company has treated our family. Any good company would keep you updated and move things in a timely manner but not this company. They want to keep the pain going and the struggle for any closure to happen. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDING!!!!Tennessee Farmers Insurance Companies

I was at work and my car was securely parked in our parking lot. A client of FBL drove into our parking lot and totaled 2 cars and hers. I was told by police that my car was probably totaled by her actions. Her insurance company, FBL said they would file an insurance claim so I dont have too, and then they will cut me a check for my vehicle.Looking online, and bluebook value it says my car is worth around $9,200.Well, then came back stating they would give me $4,500.There is not a vehicle to be found that is like the one that was totaled. There is not an actual car that is safe and will get me to and from work and my medical appointments that I have weekly for that price! Im shocked how this insurance company treats people! They are acting like its my fault that I came to work that day and parked in our work parking lot!!!And it appears this company does not act in good faith at all!Ive filed a claim with the Insurance Commissioner Of ********* as well. And they are also looking into this for me. TSPTennessee Farmers Insurance Companies

This is the worst insurance company. If you want to be mistreated, defrauded, yelled at by low class, barbaric employees, Iowa Farm Bureau is there to make your days hell. This company should not be existed. It should have been renamed to Harm Bureau instead.Tennessee Farmers Insurance Companies

Farm Bureau sold me a disability policy without explaining the social security offset clause...after suffering an accident resulting in becoming paralyzed my policy would not payout ! The biggest complaint is the servicing agent in meeting me for at least 12 yearly ins. reviews did not reveal to me the ramifications of the offset clause or even mention it was in my policy. As I was self employed and FB agents deal with self employed farmers one would think they would have their clients interests well above their sales commission ! Farm Bureau using monikers such as living beside you living for ********** your future helps us help you are a bad joke. The agent now lives along the river living it up while I'm stuck in a wheel chair unable to afford a wheelchair accessible vehicle to drive or enjoy any of the simple joys of life this agent enjoys without thinking about it. Hopefully one day he will own up to his major mistake...hopefully no one else suffers from his lack of putting the client first instead of his sales commission !Tennessee Farmers Insurance Companies

While ***** Rekemeyers Disability Income policy was originally issued by our company, the block of disability policies was later acquired by Assurity Life. Assurity now administers the policies. When ********************** voiced his concerns about the benefit adjustment provision in 2009 and 2011, his statements were forwarded to Assurity for review. We have likewise forwarded the customers most recent grievance to Assurity, and they will respond to the customer in accordance with their procedures.Review fromPam N

1 starI would like to give zero stars. I have been with Farm Bureau for over a year and had a car accident. The other driver was at fault and their insurance company acceptable liability for the accident. I had to be treated for medical issues after the accident and paid out over $3,000.00. Farm Bureau has made several excuses as to why they cannot reimburse me. I have sent proof of payment to Farm Bureau and still refuse to pay me. When insurance is purchased you want to be able to rely on you insurance company to pay the claim. Do not buy insurance from Farm Bureau.
