I bought a modular home from meadows in McMinnville tn jun 02 2022. December 10th of 2024 I had spotted water damage from a leaking roof. My insurance company come back a said there was nothing they could do because it was an installation problem with the roof. I am going to have to take legal action because meadows homes nor the manufacturer is doing anything about it. I am not the only person that has had problems with theses homes. This is also not my first problem when I first moved in after the house was done I had a cracked toilet, I did what they said to do an told my sales person for weeks after I was living in it nothing ever happened. I also have a corner of my roof that was bent up when it arrived I called a called to complain to see if it could get fixed but I never got anything. I have ********************** the dining room of my home. I have tried multiple times to speak to a manager at meadows and there is never one there.Business Response

This customer's ********************** home was purchased July 28th, 2022, at the time of closing, in the paperwork that he would have signed it states that Meadows Homes doesn't warrant the home. The warranty is through the manufacturer of the home, which would be Tru Homes. The warranty is for a period of one year, so the warranty on the home would have expired in July of 2023. However, Meadows Homes is going to schedule an appointment with the homeowner and send a contractor out to see about the shingles / replace the missing shingle, any damaged sheetrock, ****** strips and trim and will treat any mold on the studs where the sheetrock is at and repair the exterior corner of the home. The customer can contact the manufacturer of the home, which would be Tru Homes in ******************** for further assistance with his roof installation or moisture in his dining area, *************.

Originally purchased home from Lebanon location 03/2024 was initially told expected move in date would be late may early June. No problem home was ordered from manufacturer and we were then notified that expected move in date would be delayed to late June early July due to manufacturer backlog. Home gets delivered mid June and sits on dealer lot until delivery to property week after 4th of July delayed due to some construction on lot so could not deliver home sooner. This delay move in date further back. Now it's a problem we budgeted for some delay but not any further than beginning of August we had already terminated our lease, our son was to start a new school, and we have already been paying mortgage as well as rent. Here it is Aug 16, ***************************************************** is HVAC install was told it would be done by today. No HVAC today and now they can't tell me when it will be done. As of midnight 8/16/2024 we technically have no place to stay. We are a family of 4 with 3 pets. So we Now have to pay for storage, pet boarding, hotel rooms, dining out, and fuel for an unknown amount of time. This is unacceptable and unethical. I WANT OUR HOME FINISHED NOW!!! I HOPE THEY FEEL GOOD ABOUT MAKING A FAMILY GO BROKE AND HOMELESS. Even though this ma be temporary it's cruel and wrong and will be a traumatic experience for our family!!!!Business Response

We apologize for any inconvenience the homeowners have had, but we do not and cannot guarantee a move in date, due to possible delays by the manufacturer, weather conditions, etc. However, during the process of the homeowner's home being built we went ahead and did the site prep and poured the footers so when the home arrived at the dealership it was ready for delivery. The home was ordered on March 14th and should have been offline around the first week of June, but due to delays at the manufacturing plant the home did not arrive to the dealership until June 18th, at which time the dealership notified the moving company that the home was in and ready for delivery. The moving company is independently owned so we have no control of their schedule, the home was picked up from the dealership and delivered to the job site on July 8th and set on July 15th. After the home was set up, we notified the manufacture that the home was ready for trim out, the manufacture scheduled the trim out to be done week of August 12th - 16th. During this time the dealer continued to work on the home, doing the plumbing, exterior siding install, block foundation, seal of block and back fill. We did run into a problem with the heating and cooling contractor which did cause a delay in the install of the heat pump, however we were able to use another heating & cooling contractor from a different location of Meadows Homes, and the unit was installed on August 19th. From the day the home was set until now has been approximately 30 days which in our business is pretty good, to have a home delivered, setup, exterior siding installed, plumbing hooked up, block foundation installed sealed and backfilled, and the heating & cooling unit installed, and the interior of the home was completed on August 15th. We understand no one likes to be hot this time of year or anytime however the homeowners could have moved themselves and their belongings into the home August 15th, after the trim out was completed.Initial Complaint

We had been working with a sales person for 2 yrs. Then we get the house to the property. Only to find out the deliveries hit tree with our modular. Now it's beens 3 mos sitting on the property our salesmen died and we are dealing with someone else. The workers have walked in and out our house with mud on their feet. The top of the siding as been piece milled together. The crawl space under house was to have a door and they made it small and to close to the bottom of the house. We didn't get the house we wanted because the house had gone up in price to much then we took another house and of salesman said I have one the lot if you take it. It will be a shorter time to move in. It's not the color we wanted but we took it and we are still waiting to move in I'm glad we didn't sell our house in one state and take all our stuff 10 hours away and no place to live. The septic is falling in on its self. The house looks like s*** Like kids put it together. We have been back and forward with the company. The women keeps saying bare with me I'm doing the best I can I say I've been very patient 2 years and still waiting. ********. I don't know how to get this done 100% but my 100% disabled veteran husband and I feel like we have opened promises no action. They the workers have been rude to my 100% disabled veteran father also.Business Response

Any damages done in delivery to the mobile home / double wide will be repaired, Mobile Home Liquidators has ordered the parts required to make the repairs and as soon as they come in, they will repair any damages done in delivery.
The salesperson the homeowners were working with did suddenly pass away leaving behind a wife, kids and family, so therefore there is other salespeople helping with all of his deals.
The home was swept/cleaned on Friday May 31st however the interior trim out is not completed yet, after all work on the interior has been completed the home will be swept and cleaned up again.
Top of siding pieced / milled together, this is standard in our industry, the manufacture sends material to be installed on the ends of the home in pieces, however there is one piece of soffit that needs to be corrected and will be corrected.
Crawl space door is standard size as supplied by the block company, the block layers have installed the door to close to the edge of the siding and are to come back and correct the location of the door so it will open.
Septic falling in on itself, all of our septic systems are inspected by the State of *********, if there is or was an issue with the install of the septic system the inspector will or would have notified the dealership prior to the system being covered up. If the system has already been covered up this is probably settling of the dirt that was used to cover the system up.
The service coordinator for Mobile Home Liquidators is going to meet the homeowners at their site to walk the house with them, any service-related issues will be addressed by either Mobile Home Liquidators or by Tru Homes manufacture of the home who also warranties the home for a period of one year on Structal items.
We greatly appreciate the service to our country by the homeowner's husband and father, we will address any negative actions by Mobile Home Liquidators employees or contractors.
If there are any monies owed after the loan / deal has been finalized, and all work is completed Mobile Home Liquidators will contact the homeowners.

l signed papers the first of February to purchase a mobile home and gave them a check of $8000 for the down payment. They were to remove an old trailer and put the new trailer in it's place. As of today everything is the same as in February, the old trailer is still there. l have called ***************** at Mobile Home Liquidators least once a week, l get a date that they are going to move the old trailer. The date comes and go's with them not showing up, calling me, explaining, setting up a new date or anything. I wait a couple of days and call them. They give me an excuse and set up a new date and it starts all over again. The last date they gave me was April 23, 2024, they didn't show up or call. I haven't called them because it dose no good. How long do l have to wait? They say l can't cancel my contract and get my $8000 back. Is that true? The company is Mobile Home Liquidators, ********************************************************************, telephone **********.Business Response
