Work began around June ***** for exterior painting and repairs which included the outside storage house. The work that was done was not what we agreed to. Upon completion, everything appeared ok but upon closer inspection we discovered wood that wasnt replaced as we had discussed and damaged wood was simply painted over. Before work began, he said that the house would look like new. When we made these discoveries, we reached out and voiced our concerns and he refused to correct the work.Business response

Simply Seth Home Repair is sorry **************** experience wasn't to expectations. The expectations of a new house is unrealistic. I replaced the whole back of the house and some of the identified **** as noted by the homeowner. I reviewed the finish house with ****************. **************** knows he has siding and the wood can not be replaced underneath the siding without replacing the siding.Business response

The customer wants wood replaced that has ties to the siding. He needs to take the siding down to replace the wood he's speaking about. The homeowner was giving a quote to replace everything. He chose a repair. He didn't choose new. I captured him admiring the work before final payment. See attachment!!Customer response

I have proof of the wood that was not replaced,before he caulked and painted over it and it is not attached to the siding.I didn't notice this and other areas until a day or two after I paid him.He promised prior to starting the work that everything would be like new when he finished along with replacing any rotten or water damaged wood.He also painted an outside storage house,which looked okay from a distance, but I discovered upon closer observation that he didn't clean or pressure wash it prior to painting ******* any professional painting or home repairman would do.He just painted over the surface w/o prepping it.
I tried to resolve the issues numerous times by calling him,but he absolutely refused to return to my home to address the issues,instead of trying to discuss it over the phone.I admit the day he finished that I didn't check everything thoroughly,but it's not like I waited weeks or months before I saw the discrepancies.This matter could have been resolved in early June, if he had stood behind his work.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The issues are constantly being ignored about the work that was not completed to my satisfaction after I checked it after he left our home the first day.If I had known then that he would not at least use good faith in resolving this matter like most professional businesses, when the customer has a complaint.I repeat that this whole matter could have been resolved in June if he would of at least returned and saw the discrepancies,we would not still be stuck in neutral constantly repeating ourselves.When I saw on the BBB that this business was rated an A+ I disagree 100% especially when it comes to customer satisfaction,regardles to if the customer was satisfied the first day after completing the work or a day or so later. I repeat I tried several times by calling him by phone w/o a responce until weeks ******** which time he had an awful attitude by phone, and on one of our last conversations he said he was done with it.Afterall the proof is in the pictures after the work was so called complete.
