I purchased from Wesley Financial on 06/08/23 in the amount of $5295. Wesley Financial advertised they "work" with many timeshare companies to negotiate an owner's exit from their timeshare. We were initially contacted by a "qualification specialist" who made an appointment with a "vice president" to explain how the service worked. It was heavily emphasized many times during the conversation about how they refund your money if they cannot negotiate a settlement with your timeshare company. They also indicated they have helped owners even recoup money from their timeshare. Furthermore, in their current advertising, they indicate they have "cancelled over ****** timeshares totaling more than $450 Million in relief." This further indicates they are trying to create a "representative" relationship and not an informational product. What I received was sporadic communication with a "Senior Resolution specialist." Over the period of the next several months, through their "advisory" process, I received a call from my timeshare company asking me if I was working with a "third party." I was advised to lie to them and tell them no or they would NEVER let me out of my timeshare EVER. After passing this test, my timeshare company passed me on to another person who offered me to pay $1200 dollars to end my agreement. I found out in this call i could have simply contacted the timeshare company directly and paid $1200 at any time to give them back ownership. This company did not give me any advice worth $5295 nor did they negotiate or assist more than 1 hour of time in resolving this situation. When I asked for my money back, they said "you got an offer, I'll try to see if I can get your fee reduced." I haven't heard anything back since. I've looked them up on BBB and scam sites and it's more of the same thing that happened to me. I just want my money back!! Bad enough the timeshare companies take advantage of you then these companies prey on the elderly!!

This response went to my junk mail and I am just now seeing it.  This complaint is far from over.  This company is taking advantage of people who have already been scammed by the timeshare industry.  They took my money with the promise they had information of how to not only cancel, but get the timeshare company to refund some of my money.  In effect, all they did was put in a BBB complaint on my behalf and the timeshare company told us all we had to do to get out of the contract was call a simple number found in readily accessible areas of the internet.  This company refused to listen to my complaint that what they did was not worth even close to the greater than $5000 I spent for them to give me free information.  This company is marketing as if they represent clients; however this is not the case.  Please reopen my case and assist.  *******************

I signed up with Wesley Financial Group to help exit Diamond Resort Time Share. For the last two years, I paid $500 monthly to pay the$18,000 fee and completed it this year. For the last three months I was dissatisfied with their service that I stopped paying until they sent me a notice of delinquency.I was not pleased because the only help they gave me was to send me a copy of the template letter that I had to sign before sending it to Diamond. I was told to not disclose their involvement. That was a red flag to me but I ignored it. However, If their business is honest and legit while would they keep it secret? For the last two years they sent me 2-3 template letters that I have to email to Diamond. I was not getting a reply from ******* until I called them directly to finalize the exit. Again Wesley did not communicate to me about the status of my timeshare. I was the one who followed up and did the calls with *******. Finally Diamond called that they would cancel the ownership. I am sure it was not because of Wesley.I was about to ignore that until I received the 1099-C report from Diamond for this years tax season stating that I have a $66,950.52 debt discharge. This amount raised my tax payment due to $20,000+ the amount I could never afford. I was not told about this! Had I known this, I would have not signed up and used the money instead to pay my taxes. I am sure they knew what could be the result but I was not warned. Yesterday and today, I sent a text and emailed Wesley and they replied that it was stipulated in the contract that I signed. Maybe so, but they had to have the due diligence to explain, if they did I would have rejected. Today they left me with no solution but to file a complaint and maybe resort to legal means. I am a retired senior citizen with a fixed income. Please help people like me. I demand a refund or help me get the tax amount waived.

Thank you for providing your feedback, ****. Its important to understand that each timeshare situation is unique, and the cost and time required for cancellation can vary accordingly. We apologize for any lack of communication or issues that you *** have faced throughout the process with us, we strive to reach out to our clients every 45 days or as soon as there is an update on their case. Since each timeshare ownership is different, we understand that a one-size-fits-all approach would not work for our clients. Unfortunately, many timeshare companies will not release a consumer if they find that they are getting assistance from a third party. Our enrollment agreement outlines possible outcomes and the need for active client participation throughout the timeshare resolution process, which was agreed to prior to starting work with us. The agreement also states that the client acknowledges that timeshare termination *** have tax implications, including receiving a 1099, and that they are solely responsible for any tax liability that *** arise after cancellation. A 1099 is a tax form sent from the timeshare, and we have no control over its issuance. Our records show that we reached out to you on April 5th to discuss your concerns regarding your complaint. We are here to provide you with all the necessary support and guidance, so please dont hesitate to contact us when you are available. Thank you for choosing our services.

Wesley Financial Group claims to provide a service. This service, a timeshare cancellation (termination), will not damage your credit rating. Communication was difficult, almost impossible to speak with our appointed consultant. During this process, our consultant changed several times, leaving large gaps in communication. The cancellation as they call it, is a foreclosure. Although that is specified in the contract, it is not specified in their advertising or in verbal communications. These instructions have irreparably damaged our credit rating. In the contract signed by both parties, it is stated that they will pay for credit repair services until the blemish has been removed from our credit report. As of the date of this complaint, the service agreement with the credit repair service will be terminated on May 5, 2024. I have tried to contact Wesley Financial Group and again I have not received any response from them. After all these issues, I am concerned if this service lapses, we will have no way to repair our credit.

I consulted with Wesley Financial after having a very harrowing experience with Westgate in 2018. I felt like they were extreme aggressive and pushed my contract through without the proper paperwork. They even put the timeshare in my daughters name because I was purchasing a home at the time. I immediately wanted to cancel, but being out of town, I did was not able to submit the cancellation in three days. I never used the timeshare once. I paid for it for about a year, but stopped because Wesley advised me to stop making payment as the could fix any negative reports from Westgate to the credit bureaus. I paid the fee upfront and started the process of sending letters. All I ever got back from Westgate in correspondence was outright rejection with no other response from Wesley except to send another letter. Once the pandemic hit, I ceased to hear from Wesley or Westgate. After it was going away I got a correspondence from Wesley saying I owed them money. I told them that I had paid up front, and the billing person told me that they had some computer systems issues that affected their ability to see payments. She promised to check it out and call me back. ******** had been reporting delinquency to only one credit bureau. My credit with the others was in the mid-700s. I January I authorized a credit pull for a refinance. When this happened the derogatory information was updated to the other bureaus. I lost 130 points on my score in one day. I have attempted to reach Wesley to find out if they ever plan to complete my cancellation with Westgate. I never get a response from anyone other than the billing department saying they will pass my information on. At this point I want my money refunded. They HAVE NOT done anything to help me cancel the scam contract with Westgate. I am due a full refund of $6900. At the very least I can pay that to Westgate to knock down my $15K balance on the timeshare I have never once used . I was scammed by both companies and want remedy.

On July 1,2020, we became clients of Wesley Financial with the guarantee that they would get us out of the timeshare that we were pressured into. As of today January 23,2023 my husband spoke with a representative at Wesley and was told that Bluegreen is not budging on the termination of the timeshare. Over the last 3 years and 7 months of going back and forth with Wesley, my husband was told that there is nothing else they could do. So the $ that we paid upfront in full is just lost. We need to know what part of 100% guarantee that Wesley could get us out of is really a guarantee. The BIGGEST **************************************** we ever made. We went with them because of the 100% guarantee. This company has not stood up to their termination agreement.

On May,22, 2023 we entered into a contract with Wesley to help us get out of our timeshare with Capital.. We told they would help us do this. On July 6th they finally sent us a letter to send Capital. On our own I called my credit card company and disputed the payment we had made and sent a copy of the text messages we had with Capital. They contacted Capital and the new contract was cancelled. Wesley didn't help with this at all. We were told not to talk to Capital and Wesley would send us the letters we needed to send. I talked to ****** and she told me she would send me letters to send on 2 separate occasions. I never received the letters and had to do everything on my own. Once the new contract was cancelled we qualified for a graceful exit. ****** told us we could negotiate the price once it was quoted. This took several weeks. She did send us one more letter to send Capital about the length of time it was taking for the quote. When we finally got the quote ****** was on vacation. Wesley called and I was told at this point that Capital's first quote was always their lowest. So we accepted it. $7,700.00. We feel we have paid Wesley adequately for the work the did and were completely misled on what they would do to help us. I did everything and paid this money for 2 letters. The last time I talked to ************** told her I was not pleased but was told they were only there to guide us but that wasn't what we were told at the beginning.

I felt their response was just a form letter they always send.  They didn't address any of my complaints at all.  They said they were supposed to guide me through the process but they didn't.  I would do everything and then they would ask me to send them a copy of what was done.  They are wanting a total of $30,000 and all they did was write 2 letters for me to send and tell me Capital's first offer is their lowest after constantly telling me they would negotiate lower price.  I feel they are as bad as any timeshare.  Their advertisement is false in my opinion.  I feel like the amount we have paid is more than adequate for the help we received.

I am rejecting this response because: we feel we were misled by Wesley.  ****** kept telling us she would help us negotiate the quote we received to exit for a lower amount. However when we finally got a quote we were told Capital's first quote was their lowest.  We were also told they could help us get a refund because of all the lies Capital had told us. We were going to use that money to pay Wesley. Instead we have paid $10,000 to Wesley and $7,700 to Capital.  We have no money left.  We just draw $2300 a month together in social security.  ********************* drugs, and necessities we are barely getting by.  Again Wesley was supposed to help us with the process but only wrote 2 letters for us to send Capital and I had to correct both because the information in them was incorrect.  We feel they misrepresented the help we were to receive.

My husband and I contracted with Wesley Financial in April of ************************************************* hindsight, we should have seen their high pressure (Timeshare 2.0) tactics in closing the sale as a red flag; on our intake call, we had to decide right there in order to receive a "discount" price, which was the difference of around $2,000. We were however, beyond frustrated with our time share and just wanted out. Our timeshare was fully paid for and our maintenance fees were current. We decided to proceed and paid Wesley Financial $6,000. Once we started the process, we learned that our timeshare had an exit program in place - for $1,000 they would release us from the liability. This was not an isolated offer just for us, it is an established program that Wesley Financial had to know about when we contracted with them. I requested Wesley Financial refund us $1000 to cover the exit fee. They agreed to cover the fee.Our Wesley Financial representative, *************** drafted a total of 3 emails that we in turn sent to our timeshare company. In July of 2022 we had purchased a "sampler" package just to get out a meeting. One of those emails did accomplish a refund of $1685. Our agreement stated that Wesley Financial receives 35% of any refunds, which would mean we technically owe them $508.50. We missed that detail due to the high pressure intake call and little time to fully review the contract. Besides we hired them to work on our behalf. What was the $6000 for????In summation we believe that Wesley Financial did not preform $6000 of work and made them the following offer via email 1/10/2024. They replied that they will either reimburse us for the exit fee or take that amount off the recovery fee (which is the fee from the refund I helped you obtain from the timeshare). Our offer is outlined below:$6000.00 -$508.50 (35% refund fee) (we keep this and do not pay)-$1000.00 (Exit Fee) (WF refunds us this amount)$4,491.50 total to Wesley Financial That would mean that Wesley Financial received $4,491.50 for approximately 10 very brief email communications; 3 of which included info for us to use in communicating with our timeshare and **** minute phone calls. I would say that is more than adequate compensation.
