My husband was at Summit 2/28-3/7. The worst experience ever. He was out of his mind and I have power of attorney. I was assured that he would go to rehab before coming home.Had a wonderful doctor Mon-Thursday and on Friday a new hospitalist came in and gave him the choice of going to rehab or home. They even had arranged for a bed for him at a facility. The hospitalist told me to be sure that I was safe and he still sent him home. The doctor's name is Oluwo D********, MD. My husband was not eating and barely could walk nor did he know what year it was. He has shrinking of the brain. On Saturday his right arm was hurting. We discovered that they left the IV port in his arm. I had to get a family member to remove the IV port at home. Run from this hospital.Go somewhere else to get your care.TriStar Summit Medical Center

My last experience at Summit Medical Center from July 20-24 of 2024 was very disappointing. I have been there several times in the past. I chose to receive treatment here, but it was close and to my home residence. I visited the ER first. I was in pain. After about 3 hours there, I was sent to a "holding area" where I finally got some pain relief. About an hour or so later, I finally got into a room. The Er staff was not rude, but not overly friendly either. The nurses and staff seemed overworked. After testing, I needed gallbladder surgery. The staff seemed unsure when I was going to be admitted to the hospital. They said they were waiting on a room to become available. I spent two nights in that uncomfortable ER room. The environment seemed chaotic. One staff member would tell you one thing, and another would tell you something different. Finally on 7-22-24, a room in the hospital became available. I was scheduled for surgery that morning, but the surgeon had an emergency surgery. The doctor said "Will get you first thing" tomorrow. Turned out the surgery didn't happen until that afternoon. That's first thing?? I was discharged on 7-24-24. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic, and something for nausea. He said he was going to prescribe something for pain. He didn't. I called the hospital to find out when I can expect something for pain. The nurse said she would contact the doctor. Still nothing for pain. I called 2 days later. Still nothing for pain. I just rode it out. That's sad. I hope I don't have another experience like this last one. I may choose to go elsewhere to receive medical treatment.TriStar Summit Medical Center

Substandard nursing healthcare from the SICU, 5th floor to 4th floor.. Their “value statement” is not followed by the facility. They don’t accept accountability or acknowledgement on their part of repetitive incidents “Insult to injury”…causing delay in care and prolonged stay..TriStar Summit Medical Center

On 12/15/2022 at or around I voluntarily came into a TriStar Summit with the hope of reestablishing my psychiatric medications. I was to start of new job right after Christmas as well, all this in hopes to try and improve my life and wellbeing for future. Somehow, I was inadvertently placed on a psychiatric hold but this is only the beginning of what ended up being the worst personal experience of my life and also ruining any chance of progress I had in making. On this night I was understandably upset after not being allowed to leave for no reason, as I stated I willingly drove myself there. I was upset standing in hallway entrance yelling for my clothes, and or the police or attorney be called on my behalf. In the hallway area, I saw no staff anywhere; I was suddenly tackled by a nurse claiming to be the charge nurse who grabbed my right hand and twisted my wrist she ended up breaking my thumb. There is no reason medical staff should go around breaking patents bones! When trying to get her info, understandably, I may add, I was told it was illegal for Tristar to give this info, such hogwash most medical facilities have no problem displaying credentials surname included on the ID they wear. On or around the night of 12/15/2022 she claimed to be the charge nurse. After she twisted my wrist I made made the comment that my wrist hurt, her comment was "I bet". Enough is enough of your facility making delays in my quest for info from this night. I'm still injured from this, mentally and physically.Just because TriStar and their staff do not like mental health patients does not warrant their bones being broken when they are not a threat. My psychiatric hold was reversed at end of my visit but this night too bad not before a great deal damage was done. If you need mental health care stay away from Tristar my life and health were far worse upon leaving than when I arrived and still am. Shame!!!!TriStar Summit Medical Center

I'm in the ER with my 73 yr old mother. We arrived at 10am via ambulance because she fell and broke her tibia and fibua right above her new ankle replacement. They did x-rays immediately but did not see her for 3 hours or give her anything for pain. Her blood pressure was elevated to the point of chest pains due to the pain in her leg. The ER was not slammed or super busy. She has been in convulsions because the pain is so bad. Its 8pm and we are still waiting for a room. She has surgery in the morning to put plates and screws in her leg so clearly they know shes not lying. This hospital was great until TriStar took over. I will never come here by choice again.TriStar Summit Medical Center

For the love of all things that are good do not go to this hospital for the birth of a child. I haven’t used them for anything else but after this experience we’ll be avoiding them at all cost. If you do go here expect them to try to gouge every cent they can out of your bank account. Long story short we had to fill out “continuation of care” paperwork prior to the birth of our kid to have everything billed in network. Every single bill we got was out of network. After having to call for every single bill to have it adjusted (including one where they tried to charge us hundreds for 4 or 5 ibuprofen tablets) we reached our very last bill. Again out of network. So we had our insurance reopen the claim to adjust it to in network. Summit took the opportunity to add an additional $1500 to the bill because the first amount “was an error” when we were told the original bill cost would settle everything left from their services once it was adjusted to in network. Tell me how an out of network bill adjusted to in network costs us an additional $1500. This entire process took from May until January and we’re still fighting it. Do not go to this scam-artist hospital or they’ll run you broke because they can. Biggest racket I’ve ever dealt with. We’re now pushing $9000 for the birth of our kid when everything was billed in network and we were told to expect around $5000. Now I’m wondering how many other bills I paid that were absolute scams out of Summits billing department.TriStar Summit Medical Center
