    I purchased an item from the Dollar General store on 6/9/24. I received a receipt, but the cashier, ********, threw away my customer survey and five ********************** off the next Saturday coupon. Every time I purchase something there, these are provided to me. Every time except when she is the cashier. I have noticed that she always throws the survey and coupon away and all other cashiers provide them to me. I do not know if she just doesn't like me, or if she does this to all customers. I can't provide feedback to the company regarding this behavior, because she threw away my survey! That is why I am reaching out to you for assistance.

    After receiving the complaint, I, the store manager, personally called the customer to give a formal apology from myself and on behalf of the cashier mentioned in the complaint. The cashier mentioned stated it was not personal and just had to be a coincidence as she is not aware of who this specific customer is. I apologized to the customer and let him know it would not happen again, and if a cashier forgets to give him his receipt they will be more than welcome to give it to him if he asks. I also made the customer aware that we always keep extra 5 dollar off coupons for our customers on Saturdays.

    I am rejecting this response because: I appreciate the apology, but I do not believe the person who called me was being honest in her response. I have been to other stores where the cashier would offer to give a customer a discount coupon, but I have never been offered one at this store. Furthermore, I did not receive the survey portion of the receipt that offers the chance to win a gift card. I feel it is the manager's duty to train the employees to give the customer their receipt for every transaction, and when an employee fails to follow those standard procedures, it reflects on the managers poor leadership skills. I used to be a regular customer at the **********************, but now I choose to shop elsewhere.

    To resolve my complaint, the corporate headquarters would need to send me a letter explaining that they have provided the manager and all employees at this store the training they need to successfully perform the duties of the cashier position, especially offering the customer a receipt for each transaction.
