I had my car towed by Browns Mill Road on 5/25/24 to Scott’s Engine and Muffler Repair my car had needed a boost I thought it was the battery I drove it to Walmart to have the battery replaced and they said it wasn’t the battery it made a single click sound the engine wouldn’t try to start. The next day I called and the repair guy said it has mechanical damage I asked how he determined that and he said he tried to start the car and it would try to start but wouldn’t I said I think you have the wrong car my car makes a single click. He said he would know more once he checked it every day he would say I will have it fixed by the end of the day and the next day by the end of the day he quoted **** and then **** and then **** and then wouldn’t say he called at 9:30 pm to say I had bent valves then on 6/11/24 he said he was putting my car back together if it wasn’t finished today he would have it ready by morning he told me to watch what I say to remember your car isn’t fixed yet I went on 6/12/24 and called a tow truck and my car was in pieces my engine is in my trunk and my car smells like burnt oil

Carlena was referred to us by Mr. Transmission. Her vehicle had jumped time. She was given a price to tear it down and see what part broke that made the timing jump. She was also told at the time that there is a good chance that she bent the valves but we wouldn't know until we got the head off.  Once we got the cylinder head off we could see the valves were bent. She was then give a price to have the head and valves redone. At this point Carlena became belligerent with my service writer and told us we didn't know what we were doing and that we were lying to her. At that point she told us not to touch her car and had it towed out. She also did not pay us for the tear down work that she gave us the ok to do. We did nothing but try to hep Carlena get her car fixed as affordable as possible. We did not break the car. It was towed into our shop.

    Complaint* ********

I am rejecting this response because:
You can pull the cameras at Walmart on a market st my car wasn’t overheated, there was no black smoke, and no oil leakage. Speak with the technician my car simply wouldn’t start it gave a single click noise. It is either my starter or my alternator. When I retrieved my car the tow driver had to boost my battery to open the trunk to place my motor. The original problem is still showing in that my car won’t even give a single click now. It was never the engine. It is now my motor is out of my car in front of my house I owe on this car. He kept telling me every day he was working on my car he first said my car was trying to turn over and that isn’t true my car never tried to turn over it just made a simple click noise. Every day he was telling me my car would be ready by the end of the day. He then said my car needed a different tensioner that they sent the wrong one it would be there on Monday and on Monday he would have my car ready by the end of the day and then he went from $500 to $600 and then he would have it ready the next day and I called the next day and he said he didn’t get to it it would be the next day and then he was putting the valve cover on and would test drive the car I waited an hour and called back I gave my name make color head and model of my car and was told he’s test driving your car I took an Uber and was told your car isn’t ready I said you told me you were putting valve cover on and was going to test drive and I called back the guy said you were test driving my car he said I was test driving a car but not your car I reminded him that he even told me he was going to test drive my car and that I gave my name and my car information when I called and he said he was mistaken but he said that he would stay until 7 pm if he had to to finish my car I walked my grandsons to the park and waited until  7 pm a young lady that works at the school can verify she was there that day I tried calling no answer at 9:30 pm he called to tell me he had bad news that my valves were bent and he was sending parts to a machine shop I said I don’t believe that at all my car didn’t do anything that cars do when it’s the engine and now how much are you trying to charge me I was referred by someone I considered a friend Scott ***** and at this point I called Scott Hyatt and he immediately started saying he knew Bill he has worked with him that Bill might have promised my car would be ready too soon but he didn’t believe any wrong doing I continued to call about my car and 2 days before I had my car towed I asked for a price and he said he would get it and call back he never called back I called the next day the day before I had my car towed and he promised he was putting my car back together I had my car on speaker my friend was sitting with me I then asked how much is this he hung up I called back out my phone on speaker again he asked me to hold on and i was explaining all this to my friend how I called every day and every day my car would be ready by end of day and how he kept saying something different why it wasn’t ready and how he kept going up on the price and he said hey you better watch what you’re saying your car isn’t ready yet I said are you threatening me he said stop twisting my words I called the police and explained everything and the police said it sounded electrical to go get my car. I did the next morning and if he was putting my car together why was it still apart? And I got there at 8:13 not realizing my motor wasn’t in my car the hood was down he didn’t touch my car until I called browns mill towing they were on speaker they said they were on N Roan St and then he lifted my hood and then I said please leave my car alone I am having it towed he said you don’t want your car put back together I had been there over an hour at this point he didn’t have time to do anything before the tow truck got there my car wasn’t leaking oil when it was towed there but leaked oil after it was towed my car didn’t have the engine out when it was towed there but did when it was removed and the original complaint was still there they had to charge the battery to unlock the trunk to put my motor back there they left the window down and my car has been rained in my car was towed by browns mill on May 25, 2024 and I had it towed from there on June 12, 2024 he had more than enough time to repair my car why wasn’t my car fixed and why was my car in worse shape than when it was towed?

    Sincerely,

    Carlena ******
