If you have a choice of trash/recycling service providers, DO NOT choose Waste Connections. I've been charged for residential service, but they have not delivered the containers and can't tell me when they will be delivered. They say they will pick up trash if I just put it out at the street in the bags, or find my own container to put trash in, but I can't use a Waste Management or other competitor's container. Also, don't bag my recycling, so it may get blown around or soaked if it's raining, or my trash may get rummaged through by the local wildlife, but that will be my problem to clean up, not theirs. If they would charge me and begin my service when they deliver their containers, that would be the best way to provide service. If I don't just stick trash bags at the curb or purchase my own generic container to use for now, then they claim I'm "choosing not to use their service." They said the containers are "complimentary" and not required as part of their service, that I'm paying for them to pick up trash and recycling, not the containers, and I'm the only person who has an issue with paying them and waiting weeks for the containers, so I can only get partial service, but pay the full amount. They said all of their disclaimers in the emails and agreements say this is how it may go, which they do, but this is still not good service. They only care about getting paid. They are full of excuses, don't care about their customers or customer service, even though their recorded messages say they do. Fortunately, I'm still able to take my trash and recycling to another property and use my service with Waste Management there even though this is also an inconvenience. I'm hoping this community is able to change to another provider soon.
