    Boardwalk storage recently bought out Eagle storage which is in Lafollette Tennessee I live in Muncie Indiana I have a storage unit there they tried to tell me that I had to be on auto pay I never signed a contract with auto pay so therefore they had no right to try to charge my card today on the second they tried to charge my card for the unit I never gave them permission to do though

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/13) */ I would first like to apologize to Mr. ******** that Boardwalk Storage has upset him. This is not how Boardwalk Storage treats our guests. On 4/4/2022 at 12:31 PM, I spoke to Mr. ******** by phone to explain to him that Boardwalk Storage bought out the previous owners and that we needed his updated information along with a card to put on file since we accept Autopay only. We do not take cash, checks, money orders, or cashier checks. When Mr. ******** gave me his card information, I explained to him that I was going to put his card on Autopay and take April's payment since it is due on the first day of the month. He said okay. When May 1st came, his card was declined until May 3rd. Mr. ******** has only been charged once for each month. No other charges have been taken. Mr. ******** has been sent a new lease agreement which he has never returned to us along with a front copy of his driver's license. Boardwalk Storage has to have this agreement or we can terminate his rental with us. This lease is a binding agreement that every new guest receives when renting from us. Again, we do apologize for any misunderstanding that Mr. ******** had and we will be more than happy to speak to him again to resolve this issue. I can assure you I never told her to put no auto pay on my card I had spoke to somebody there and explain to them that I will not go auto pay but I never signed the contract to have auto pay with the previous owners that they had to honor the contract that I had and that man told me no he did not which I never had no auto pay do not wanna auto pay is the only time I gave her information about a card was to pay for the storage unit payment that month never to put it on auto pay I never once told her to auto pay my payment therefore she is lying to cover her self I disagree with what she saying
