I bought an item online. It was ***** dollars. This was on Sunday 8/27/23. I checked my online banking account with ********************** Bank and Trust, and the on line company had taken almost $300 from my checking account. I had used my debit card. I immediately on 8/27 called the Banks customer service line. Talked to their rep and she suggested that I cancel the debit card which would prevent the company from withdrawing my money. I did so. The next day, Monday, 8/28, I recieved a message via text from the Bank that I needed to file a dispute to the charges. I immediately called the Bank number. They told me that I had to wait 30 days. I told them that all except $***** was charged to my debit card fraudulently. I decided to go to the branch I usually use at Wilson Bank and Trust to see if they could assist me. HERE IS WHERE I HAVE A COMPLAINT. As I was waiting for the Bank officer to assist me, another bank officer came up and asked me if he could help me. I explained all of the above. I told him that I wished to file a dispute of the charges. Instead of explaining the Banks position, he began politely to berate me. He said, This is the 2nd time that I had made a similar request since he had worked there. He suggested that I no longer use a debit card or buy online. I said that I wanted to dispute the charges. He then implied that I was either too senile or ignorant to properly manage my business. I asked him if he was calling me an idiot. He said, Have I raised my voice. Again he said, this is the second time I had requested to dispute a charge since he had worked there. I Said, I am requesting that they file a dispute of the charges. He said they could but the bank would close my account. I replied that he had no right to do any such thing, and that I was a long time account holder. That he was rude and intentionally insulting me. I SAID TO HIM THAT HE WAS NOT ONLY NOT GOING TO HELP ME, BUT I COULD CLOSE MY ACCOUNT ON MY OWN. I LEFT THE **** AND WENT HOME. UNACCEPTABLE
