    On April 15, 2022 I contacted *********** of Cedarscape designs for a quote on weeding + mulching garden beds in front my my house (correspondence attached). He responded with a quote, I agreed to the price and asked him to contact me about scheduling. He responded that he would contact me to schedule. After not hearing from him for about a month, I hired another company and signed an agreement for regular maintenance through the rest of the year. These services cost $*** and were completed in May 9, 2022. This company weeded, freshly mulched my beds and trimmed my plants to prepare them for summer. On the afternoon of May 25, 2022 with no prior contact or notice, employees of Cedarscape designs arrived at my house and began work. They removed my new mulch, cut all of the new growth and budding blossoms off of well established shrubs including hydrangeas, peonies, tree peonies and wisteria. They also decimated a rose bush. These plants will now die or not bloom this summer and are left unsightly. Our brand new mulch has also been removed and I observed on video cameras that chemicals were sprayed in my flower beds (I only use organic products in my garden). Without a contract, prior notice, or scope of work Cedarscapes ruined work I had hired another company to do and caused permanent and irreversible damage to my personal property tantamount to vandalism. I am seeking compensation for my loss of enjoyment snd value to my front yard landscaping as well as compensation to have the company I hired come back and replace the mulch that Cedarscapes removed. I had previously hired Cedarscapes to install a stone path and for that job there was a signed contract and scope of work and had expected the same should I ever hire them for future work. While I received a quote, I never hired them nor did they complete work and instead caused damage to my property.
