I installed a 3 zone mini- split system in 3 rooms in Mr ****** house. The unit was working when the job was finished. Two weeks later Mr ****** called and said the unit had a code and was not cooling. So I said the unit must need Freon. I purchased Freon (400 dollars)and took it over to Mr ****** house . And I paid a AC guy to go by and put the Freon in the unit and check for leaks .(500 dollars) . I am not a ac guy I am an electrician. Made this clear with Mr ****** and told him to contact and ac guy and that he may need to pay him to run some new lines if he finds anymore leaks .

On May 28th, 2024, we hired DDH Electrical Services to install soffit lights and paid the company $2,025.00. The job required that a hole be cut in our upstairs office wall to fish electrical wires. Once the job was done and the hole was patched and paint had dried, we notice a lot of imperfections in the drywall work. This was where they had to patch the hole that they cut. I alerted ****** (owner of the company). He came and took a look and confirmed that it did not look good. I asked him to send his drywall guy out to fix it and he said that he was not available on the day that we requested. Since we were about to travel, I told him that I would reach out when we returned. So, when we returned, I reached out and was told that his drywall guy no longer works for him and that he no longer installs Soffit lights nor does he offer any type of refunds. He claims that the cost of cutting into the wall was not included. However, in order to get the job done he said that he had to cut a small hole in the drywall. To me, that means that this is part of the overall job.I have attached photos and the receipt. I have a photocopy of the check as well if needed and copies of text messages. I only want to get the wall fixed which means I have to hire a drywall professional since DDH cannot finish the job. Please let me know if anything else is needed.

I cant fix the wall because I dont have a guy that can repair Sheetrock any more but I can find out whats going on with the light . If it was a short none of the other lights would work because there tied together. You can get on my schedule for a service call to that a look at the light on those dates you provided. But it will be a service call fee of $125.00 to come out .
I can out once before for an unrelated issue and fixed without payment. For changing the bad breaker in your panel. So I am willing to look at the light situation but not the drywall

I am rejecting this response because the fact that he no longer has a drywall guy is irrelevant and is an excuse.  Cutting into the wall was part of the job which means that the wall has to be put back in a condition where someone would not obviously notice that there was a hole there.   As far as the one soffit light, I clearly explained that at times it goes out and when you tap it flickers and eventually comes back on.  So, it sounds like a short.  I understand that the company claims that the lights are "supposedly" connected but this one goes out sporadically.  Overall, I am happy with the soffit light install but not the drywall work which was part of the project.

    Sincerely,

    *** ******

Install soffit light on Mr ****** house in order install a light were Mr ****** wanted the light we had to cut into the wall , which Mr ****** knew this had to be done. We are electricians not Sheetrockers . We put the wall back being generous and also painted it. A month later Mr ****** called and said he didnt like the way his wall looked and asked could I come fix it and responded back to him that the guy that did the wall doesnt work for us anymore and couldnt do that for him because we are electricians not Sheetrockers . So he starts saying that he wants a refund and told we dont give refunds.
