A Terminix employee ****** said that I needed an Exclusion Contract because I had rodents in my attic and that there were rat or mice droppings and urine trails. I signed up with Terminix and they sent Terminix employee ******* to seal my attic entrances, set traps and check for rodents. ******* informed me that there were no signs of any rodents or any activity and no urine trails. ******* gave me a written report which is their company policy, however ****** only gave me a verbal report . The contract was financed through SMAC and I informed them before the first payment was made that I wanted to cancel the agreement because I was given information that wasnt correct. The employee said that they would put it in their files. I then contacted ************************* and pointed out that their employee ****** sold me a service that I didnt need and that he didnt give me a written report of his findings. ******** pulled up the report from ******* and there wasnt a report from ****** and they agreed to cancel the contract. However SMAC still proceeded to charge my credit card for the first payment. I again informed ************************* and they called ********************** to inform them that they had canceled the contract. SMAC replied that they werent canceling the contract and I guess they believe that I should pay for a service that was canceled by the company that I contracted with ! I have contacted SMAC on five separate occassions with the first attempt being on May 18, 2024. I requested that I be sent a written statement of my account number, my current balance, my interest rate, and the payments I've made. This company is talking advantage of senior disability person . I am rejecting this response because:That's what I did before and a Representative name *********************** said to me the same thing I see here in this response and nothing happened when I called on May 28th to make the last payment of ***** for my account to be on the deferment another representative denied the deferment and said to me that I was not able to get the deferment because I need to,pay the past due *** from April . I told her that I did that already in 3 payment with *********************** and she said to me no that I have to do it again. I asked for ****** and she never came to the phone and she never returned my calls I asked for a supervisor and no one call me . . I need someone like a manager, supervisor to contact me and work with this issue also I will do the commitment to make the payment myself online or with a representative. I'm not refusing to pay . I need a ledger with my balance, I need some one to call me because the job that they did for the termite was terrible I still have termites and no one has done anything to fix this problem. On June 28th one of the pet control from Terminex came I spoke to him and told him that the people that came here to put the termite tent did not do a good job . The pet control man asked me what happened I told him that the tent had gaps hole all over and that the tent was done around 10 or ***** in the morning and was removed from my home the same day around 6.30 pm and the pet control man told me that they should of leave the tent for 24 hours due to the level of termites in my home and this never happened. The job was awful, they used 3rd party people , the tent was terrible with hole . My husband a senior person with cancer at that time paid with this financial people now they got paid and were defrauded , deceived. I asked for a SMAC manager to contact me to work something out and no one has done anything. The next step is to contact the Federal trade commission.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: As I stated before I did what the company is saying in their reply and when I called ****** to make the last payment of 98 for them to do the deferred I was told that I need it to start all over again and the deferred can't be done .Meaning they mislead the People here is the problem is I comply and they lied to me . I asked for a supervisor to contact me and no call from them . The Representative doesn't help at all they are clueless when I called they don't read the notes. Also this pet control Terminex are the worse they used a 3rd party people to come to my home with a fumigation tent that was old and broken the job was not done correctly the tent was removed way before the 24 hours they left the tent in my home just for 6 or 7 hours I came I the tent was removed also my neighbor told me they call me I was in a hotel very close to the house. I need some one to contact me and discuss this issue. I have been telling the termites company about it but they don't care . What this people did to us as Elderly and disabled person took advantage and this is not acceptable

Today I called SMAC Terminex I spoke to a representative I explained her what happened in April 2nd that ****** promised me a deferred on back of the loan and the Representative was not helpful she was negative not professional at all I told her that I'm not denying to pay but I need it a payment plan and she stay silent I have to say hello 3 times for her to respond. I also asked her to sent me a ledger with all the payment I made because their system is misleading we the customer don't see the *** we paid or the *** we owed. I need a supervisor or manager to take a moment and call me to fix this issue. I don't want any Representative to call because they are not doing anything good to help me. I need a payment plan to finish paying this awful job the company Terminex did in my home because the tend was removed to soon no wonder termites never well gone . I am rejecting this response because:This financial company they are the same as Terminex they need to contact the termite people and asked them why they removed the tent way before the time I have been asking for this many times and they don't do anything. The tent was only in my home for 6 hrs no wonder I have Termites problems. We need to come to an agreement on this because the third party they hired to do the tent was awful job they did took advantage of elderly people and removed the tend way before the time . I received a call from a Representative but they don't help I need a supervisor to call me for me to explain and for her or he to help with this situation.i will contact another **************** for them to do an inspection because I know **************** did not comply with the job . Back in December we call terminix for bedbugs. *** came out seemed reasonable he ran my credit said I need 450 down and so much a month for 6 months. Now he never said it would be anywhere near a year. Then we started getting bills from smac. we never received and contacted with smac so in April I called and asked for one. I disagree with what was not explained to me. And still to date I dont have one! From my understanding a financial institution should be required to report to your credit! They say no ,but yet ran it 2 times knocking my score down. And if he would have explained to me the interest rate was 18% I would have said no. Even for 6 months. My concern is that Terminix and smac are doing this to other people! And not fully explaining how there finance works and that it doesnt report back to your credit with a high interest rate!!!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Your website does not even tell you what you balance is. Your statements which i have only received one doesnt even tell you what your balance is.
You send a statement with no balance due but it ask for a set amount. If you are keeping up with the 90-day no interest, then you are would be required to make a much larger payment than what they tell you on your statement. SMAC is hoping you will
pay the amount they tell you ., which would not pay your amount before the 90-day offer. I do not like giving my bank account number to someone over the phone.
The only option is to enter a debit card or a credit card???? Really.
The main branch of my bank called me and said they received a phone call to tell them i was deceased and my account needed to be closed. They gave the bank excecutive
the last 4 digits of my social security number which is what SMAC asks you for. This is the poorest company set up i have ever seen. It goes along with the crummy
work i received from Terminix so i guess that figures. What is the point of sending a statement with no balance on it??? Because you want people to not pay within the 90-days
which means they would have to pay interest. Who is going to pay an ongoing account with a debit card or a credit card? That makes no sense. I am reporting you to the ********* ************************* for your shady practices.

I called and made a payment over the phonesince i do not want to enter my debit card number (who would do that), or put it on a credit card (also ridiculous), and told the girl i wanted to pay $304.00 on my bill.
Since you have to CALL EVERYTIME YOU WANT YOUR BALANCE, I CALLED and she said my last payment was for $3.04. I asked for a supervisor and was told there is
no supervisor. She was obviously working from home because a dog was barking. What employee would think someone was paying $3.04 as a payment. So instead of owing what i thought was $304.00, i owed over $600.00. I *********** your "website page" and writing a letter to the attorney general filing a complaint. You are the worst example of a finance company i have ever seen. This is why you have had what 18 complaints in the last year. I am also going to find out who owns this so called company. No response is necessary. Yeah, you don't show a balance hoping people will miss the 90 day deadline. I am also filing a complaint with Terminix about you. They are just as crummy.

I recently purchased a service from Terminix and SMAC is their finance company. SMAC has been calling me non stop to make a payment even though *** explained to them multiple times the terms of the loans they want me to make payments on does not match the paperwork I have signed and agreed to. They continue to make me go back to the *************** responsible for the work and have them re-submit the correct loan paperwork. Not only have I provided them with a copy of my paperwork, the *************** has resubmitted 3 times now and SMAC still claims they have not received the paperwork. I have explained I will not be making payments until the interest rate and payback timeline are adjusted to what I agreed to but they will not change anything. If I understand correctly, SMAC is the finance company owned by Terminix so I fail to understand why they cant seem to communicate with each other. I am close to legal action after this last call from SMAC claiming it will start to negatively affect my credit score if I dont pay on the loan I didnt agree to - it is shameful because Im happy to pay my bills. Purchased attic insulation from Terminix around Dec, 2022 or Jan, 2023.Payments of $362.46 were processed automatically until Aug, 2023, when I realized I was paying 18% interest.August 21, 2023, I paid the balance of the account electronically via *************** Checking over the phone with **********, who said the payoff amount was $9,180.40.The payment was denied as, not a valid account. We assumed either the routing number or account number was entered inaccurately.A second payment was sent electronically with another staff person online. Same resultpayment deniednot a valid account.The payoff amount was also inaccurate. According to the Terminix Payment Notice for August, the payoff amount was $9,104.15 and was good through 08/24/2023.I spoke with ******* and asked if I could use that payoff amount to write a paper check and snail-mail it to: SMAC, P O Box 2092, *******, **, 38101-2092. He placed me on hold. When he returned to our phone conversation, he said that I was permitted to submit and mail a check per my request.SMAC cashed the check.Since that time, I have been notified monthly by SMAC. They tell me my account is delinquent. With each call, I request to speak with *******. They tell me he will call back when he has time, or they say he gave me the incorrect information. I am rejecting this response because:Terminex came to my home many times and is the same thing over and over and I paid for them to do a good job the first time . Is insane why I have to go through this constantly.
Also need to,know my balance and why the customers can't see their account online
