    I purchased an annual membership to Makers Gonna Learn on February 20, 2024. I do not recall ever seeing that this membership would be autorenewed and charged a year later. This must have been in super fine print in their terms as I am usually very good about catching this and cancelling my membership before it gets auto renewed. I had no idea and received no notice that it would auto renew until I logged into my credit card statement with a $270 charge. There was no email, notice or anything from Makers Gonna Learn months before, days before or even during. Once I saw this, I immeidately went to their site and cancelled, then emailed support asking them to refund. They responded stating: "Unfortunately, a refund or reimbursement is not possible because the membership was not canceled before the renewal date, as stated in the terms of use” Like wow, in the entire year of service I barely used this service only to log in just a few times in the entire year. They should at least send a notification email or an email asking members if they want to renew another year or go month to month. This is really bad business and taking advantage of their members. They always post videos on how the company Cricut is disappointing and taking advantage of customers, but at least cricut is doing their best to help customers. Makers Gonna Learn just continues to mislead their customers with these subcriptions. Very sad. I am a small business so I cannot afford to pay another year for services I barely utilized. I could use this money for other things in my business to help it grow and stay afloat. In the world today you would think they would be more understanding, but they are not. Stay away from this business. Unethical business and misleading practices. Then no care to help you with options, check your account to see how many times you utilized their digital services, NOTHING!

    I was charged $197.00 for an auto-renewal for membership to access their website. I signed up for this a year ago in January of 2024. As soon as I saw that I was charged again yesterday morning 1/3/25 for another full year of membership, I immediately emailed the company to ask for a refund. I have not logged into their website or used any of their digital products for >6 months or more. I can't even remember the last time I logged in or used any of their products. The responses from the company were rude & uncaring. They told me I wasn't eligible for a refund because I apparently agreed to whatever "terms" they literally do not even list on their website or in their member portal. I told them that they never emailed me with a reminder that I would be charged again, like almost every other company out there does that has auto-renewal subscription services. In addition, almost every other company out there that is actually DECENT & CARES about their customers would agree to a refund when the customer did not realize that they would be automatically charged again for another full year of a digital membership. I didn't realize when I initially signed up for this membership that it would auto renew or else I would have immediately cancelled the membership since I knew there was no way that I would remember to cancel after an entire year. I also opened a complaint on my paypal account with this company to dispute the charge, but I doubt anything will happen with paypal resolving it. I have read the other complaints of other customers who were in my same situation on the BBB website, & it's no wonder that this company has an F rating from BBB. They do not care about their customers, & it is clear that they are a scam company who only cares about the bottom dollar. I would like a full refund for the auto renewal since I did not approve this charge & had no intention of renewing my membership to their website. Prove all your bad reviews wrong on here by granting my refund.

    I purchased an annual membership to Makers Gonna Learn on April 18, 2023 for $******. I had no idea and received no notice that it would auto renew until PayPal sent me a message on April 18, 2024 saying it was going to renew that same day., again for another $******. I immediately sent them an email saying I did not wish to renew.They can’t be reached by phone. Email is the only option. I then filed a dispute with my bank and also with PayPal that same day. I have sent several emails to them trying to reach them to make sure my membership was cancelled and a return would be issued. I had only signed in to the website 3 or 4 times in the year I initially signed up for. I realized I wouldn’t be using their services as much as I had hoped , but I had already paid for it so that was fine. I certainly wasn’t going to renew the membership . I had no idea that it automatically renewed. I finally got a email stating they were sorry but they could not refund my money due to the nature of digital products. That is ridiculous. They can see how many times I signed in to my account and know that I did not use it for most of the year that I paid for. This is a devious business practice and company. They stated that they don’t send out any notices. They are unscrupulous and I would advise everyone to steer clear of them. I’m retired and cannot afford to pay for something I didn’t want and will not use. I paid $****** to this company unknowingly and they refuse to refund my money. That is unexceptable. They should not be allowed to continue operating like this. .

    I signed up for what I thought was a lifetime membership last year during a special promo. I thought nothing of it until my card was charged this year for a renewal, I was not notified of the renewal via email or phone. I've requested a refund since I don't use the service and the company is refusing to refund my money.

    July 30, 2023y, I signed up for a Bootcamp with Makers Gonna Learn. I also decided to join the membership with "Makers", it was a seven day trail. The Trail ended on August 19th, I requested they cancel my membership on August 17th. On August 18th, I received an email acknowledging that the membership was canceled but, I could still use the site until August 19th. I didn't think anything else of it until I checked my account to see if i had received another refund from another company for a computer screen. I discovered "Makers" had been charging me ****** a month for a membership I thought was cancelled. When the ***** trail ended the price of the membership would be $*****. I contacted the company on January 16th and again on January 17th. After my second email I was emailed and told the subscription was improperly cancelled in August and assured my credit card would not be charged again. I was also told he had already requested a refund of *******. Fast forward I checked my account February 2, 2024 and I had not been refunded any money, however they had not charged my account on January 20th as promised. I sent them another email but, I have not gotten a response as of todays date, February 6th. The person I corresponded with was Noel.

    My makers gonna learn account was cancelled about 3-4 years ago. I cannot pull up the exact date due to my account being cancelled. I just recently found out I have been paying the annual fee of $131.88 that has been charged annually on Dec 8 through paypal. I sent an email to [email protected] asking for a refund and have not yet received a response. This email was provided by paypal when trying to cancel the payment. Sadly, I have been reading that it is difficult to receive a refund through the company. I would like a full refund of what I have paid since my account was canceled. At least what was just charged from my paypal account yesterday, Dec, 8, 2023.

    I emailed customer service about a refund for my monthly subscription on 11/17/2023. Their “cancel subscription” option was VERY difficult to find, and I thought I had cancelled, but judging by the payment that went through, I clearly did not. They make it hard to cancel your subscription because they want to keep taking your money - even if you’ve never used their service. I’ve sent several emails since 10 business days after the date they stated they would refund me, and have received both no refund and no meaningful response about it. This company is SHADY !! A bunch of scammers running an online service.

    This transaction was for an ongoing yearly subscription in the amount of $191.88 charged to my PayPal account. The current subscription was renewed on August 17th, 2023 and was cancelled on September 18th, 2023. As soon as the subscription was cancelled an email was sent to Makers Gonna Learn customer service department explaining that I had cancelled the yearly subscription and also was unable to sign in to retrieve any of my past paid courses and was seeking a refund but, they have elected NOT to answer my email inquiry and thus have left me no alternative but to file a complaint involving this matter.

    Makers Gonna Learn refuses to offer any portion of my paid in advance yearly subscription.  This company should never be allowed to conduct business with the general public.  In fact, BBB shows this company continues to practice in this manner and the prof is in the ongoing complaints filed against them via BBB!

    RenewL charged on 3/17/23 without my permission. I called to get a refund on 3/28 when I noticed the charge as I do not want this membership. They refused to refund my money they never sent a notice that they were charging my card, and yet they refuse to give my money back. This is an unscrupulous company, and I am beyond shocked do not. I repeat, do not sign up for any of their memberships consumer be warned

    Upon checking the member's account, the member didn’t cancel their membership on their dashboard prior to the charge. When they signed up for it, they agreed to our terms of use that there will be a recurring payment, and once the charge has been made we can no longer issue refunds due to the nature of digital products.     I paid for my first years subscription to this company in advance and did not use the service at all. I’m November 2022 I unexpectedly received a charge for $191.00 from this company. I immediately emailed them over and over and over. I never received a reply at any time from them. I contested the charge with my credit card who was not able to resolve the issue. They have made repeated request to cancel this service but they have never responded.
