I contacted this business the first of November 2024 to let them know I could not rejoin Feb 12th, 2025, after my current year ended. I was instructed to go to my profile and change it. I took my credit card off the profile so it would NOT charge in Feb 12th 2025. THEY said they would check to make sure I was on the member only list. I read that to mean they would check and get back to me if I did not do correctly. Never heard and today I was charged I explained in my November email, that my son had had 3 brain surgeries and we were struggling. So, fast forward. I was recharged today, 02/12/25. I contacted them immediately and we have been back and forth and they basically said, too bad, so sad. I NOW have been told what was TRULY meant in our November 2024 email and that per their terms I was auto renewed. It is the first day, I do NOT intend to use it, so I haven’t BEEN using it for 6 months and asking for my money back. I went to my profile and hit the cancel button, (that I thought I did in Nov 2024 and who is to say I didn’t, can’t prove it) so they are saying I cancelled AFTER the auto-renew. I LET THEM KNOW IN NOVEMBER OF 2024!!! I wanted to let others know, they will NOT honor their words given things were insinuated and not clear. DO NOT JOIN for the year!!!! DO NOT! I should have done my due diligence with them but they profess to be C********s and I trusted that. I do NOT plan to use their service and I haven't. I made sure my credit card information was NOT on the website/profile back in November when I THOUGHT I cancelled. They did it anyway. So they keep the info, even when you delete it. That is another red flag!

This is a very poor company, it renews a subscription without notice. I have been charged on the double what a a yearly subscription is today if you get. Ew. I have tried to get money refunded. They send emails with incorrect dates and times, they put the dates a day ahead and tell you they cancel. Do not get a subscription to this place it is a rip off.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. I never used their site during the 1 year I had it. Was charged ******* for renewal without a payment reminder. They would not refund the amount even though they can see I did not use their plan. I guess this is a good way for them to make money. Not sure of others but ******* is a lot of not money something that is not going to be used. I learned my lesson and will never again subscribe to an on-line Craft program again. Next time Markers Gonna Learn, a reminder should be sent out. Oh yeah that is how they make money. The only thing I learned from Makers Gonna Learn, is don't trust anyone. Thanks much.

Don't understand why the bad reviews. Their terms are very clear. I have had wonderful customer service from Makers Gonna Learn. I had questions immediately and professionally addressed. All you need to do is email them. When you sign up for a membership for a program it is the purchasers responsibility to know terms.

I signed up for the monthly subscription with an introductory rate. I NEVER used this account. I failed to cancel after the first month but attempted to sign in several times to cancel subscription and it said my credentials couldn't be found. I emailed them to request help, Four days later I was sent an email to change password. I go into my account and see another pending payment, I attempt to go in and finally succeed. I searched everywhere for a way to cancel and couldn't find one. I used FAQ page to figure out how to cancel and the only 2 links were one to PayPal page and one for a PayPal cancelation tutorial of which both were in French and I couldn't figure out how to change to English. Finally I sent an upset email explaining all and requesting that someone physically cancel my subscription. A person send me a screenshot showing my dashboard with a cancel button and apologizing for the French link and to let me know she canceled but that that was all she can do and no refund. I sent her back a screenshot of my dashboard with NO cancel tab. She then sends me an email and says she sorry but the cancel tb isn't on any mobile devices, REALLY? Don't know if I will be getting my last payment refunded but I will continue to complain and post on social media so people are aware. It's sad that people have to resort to coming here to complain and request refunds when it's obvious they do alot to make sure it's hard for customers to cancel. So sad.

I’m very disappointed with Makers Gonna Learn. I purchased the yearly membership and it’s terrible. It’s probably ok if you have little kids and they want a bunch of cartoon cut outs but I’d still have to say no. Don’t waste your money. I missed the 7 day trial for the opportunity to cancel. They know people are busy and many get stuck paying almost $30 a month for 1 year. I can’t wait for it too end

My dealings with MGL have been outstandingly good. They responded to my membership confusion and discount within a few hours of my submission. They exceeded my expectations in correcting the issue and offered additional help. I do understand automatic renewal is the buyers responsibility. An advance notice is fair practice. I recommend this business. LS

Don’t waste your money! Most if not all that they offer can be found on YouTube or online for fonts or cut files. I tried to cancel my membership the day it expired and they told me it was too late and then charged my account twice. I had to wait 10 days to get a refund of the second charge. Very difficult company! Zero stars!

I do hope consumers will 'READ PRIOR TO PAYING FOR A SUBSCRIPTION' as I am sharing my experience which seems more than many of their subscribers have also experienced.
Their system is set up in a very deceiving way, especially to the new member. I find it deceiving because I noticed I received several emails hours after signing up for 1 yr stating 'confirm your subscription'. So I did even though I was confused because I already received my completed payment prompt. Well these emails that continuously follow after you have just completed payment are not very clear whatsoever and once you 'confirm your subscription' you are really confirming auto renewal. As a brand new member this is not very clear at all. And can easily be confused by a first time purchaser. Nor did I ever receive a warning 12 months later this fee would be deducted from my bank account.
Luckily I bank with Chase and they were able to retrieve my funds! I do hope this is a warning to all Brand New Members that those behind Makers Gonna Learn are NOT as honest and cheerful as they appear! They are scammers and on top of it you can find 'ALL' of the same videos to teach you how to use and where to begin with your Cricut cutting machine! It's the same exact videos. So consumers be aware!

Same as everyone else. I had completely forgotten about the membership I started as I work several jobs and starting a small business. I have receive SO many emails to JOIN NOW over the last year it isn't even funny. But they can bother to send an email telling you your renewal is due? Every other subscription I have regardless of whether they are monthly or annual renewals, sends me reminders. But not these people. And once you point that out, and the fact that you have not used the membership in the last year and they should check the account to see when the last time I logged in was, they stop responding to you. Horrible customer service, horrible company period. They only respond to positive feedback. They don't care about customer satisfaction in the least. I wish I'd never come across them.
