    I was diagnosed with BRCA2 Gene ******** by ************************************* from Women's Health Specialists and got referred to ***************************** of Ascension Murfreesboro, for further discussion.****************** recommended me to do bilateral mastectomy as soon as I could since I have such strong history of family breast cancer during this age. I believed ****************** that it would significantly reduce risk of having breast cancer, then I agreed to the procedure. Once agreed, ****************** referred me to *************************************** of MMC for discussion on reconstructive part. ****************** recommended me to divided the surgery into 2 surgeries since it would give better result than complete procedure in one surgery with limited hours. I discussed with him whether the insurance would cover the second surgery or not, and ***************** assured me that both got covered. So, I decided to divide it into 2 surgeries as advised.In summary, the first surgery was done in order to reduce risk of having cancer. The second one was the follow-up procedure/treatment after mastectomy. It's not for cosmetic purpose as they billed.I tried to contact BCBSM for this issue, they send me letter to rest assure that they will take care of the rest. Until now, nothing change, I still got the billing for over a year. I also contacted MMC billing for correct the description but the one who responded at that time ignore to do so and siad that she got it correct and just hung up.So, I hereby to contact BBB to help with this issue since it's been disturbing me for over a year now.

    I have been going to MMC for 4-5 years. I love my medical staff and I enjoy my provider ******************* and his nurse. I just had a visit on 9/16/22 and had no issues. Then all of a sudden I get a letter delivered to my mailbox saying the practice discharged me. I called and spoke with ********************, and she informed me that the practice has decided to cut ties with me, due to my interactions with the Patient Accounting Staff. I myself have really bad Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and it is very debilitating at times, so it causes me to stress about bills, so I call to figure out what is going on with my account. I work in the Medical Side, dealing with insurance, so I call when I see things that don't appear right to me. I have only had a few bad experiences with the staff at MMC, one time it was with a scheduler in the IM/FM department, after which I spoke with the office manager and got that resolved. But I have had several issues with the ************** Manager ******** and one lady in the insurance side. I as a patient, have the right to question anything that I do not understand when it comes to billing/credentialing, and whatever else I don't understand. Long story short, I have called and emailed both the old CFO ***************************** and the new CFO *************************** in regards to my treatment from the MMC staff. I have never cussed anyone, and have only stood up for my rights and expectations of professionalism from the medical professionals. I feel that I have been retaliated against, since after I have filed my complaints about the staff I was complaining on, and it was just noted, & in return used against me to say I was rude and disrespectful. That is not the case, as I said I am currently still being treated for my issues, and I feel that they are not focused on bettering the patients, instead treating them disrespectfully and firing me from the practice, because I am standing up for my rights & what ethically needs to happen to all patients that seek care from MMC.

    DOS - 7/18 Lab $260 billed to me My Insurance EOB states that I owe ZERO because the $260 was BCBST discounted - I've called and told MMC this. I need this bill looked into because I'm struggling paying an amount that my insurance company is saying that I don't owe. My EOB is attached.

    It has been years since we visited this clinic, and my experience is not with the clinical staff but the back end support from the offices. I moved out of state 7 years ago and sold my ** home. A credit balance was sent to the state. My name and address is valid on the "unclaimed property", and my daughter was a patient there. I tried to claim the funds but there is a number discrepancy with the SS number on file. I contacted the office and they said they would pull my file and call me back, that never happened. I have called back SEVERAL time and left voicemails so I can resolve this matter, but they re not returning calls. I have been polite and understanding they may need time to research this but to not get a call back since they told me they would start pulling the chart is frustrating.
