I bought a car from this dealership on October 4th I drove 3 hours to buy a car from this dealership. Once I was leaving and they was closing the car was making a really loud noise and I trying to go back but they was closed. I talked with **** and ***** and they insured me that nothing was wrong with the car and if I had problems ***** told me he would get it fixed. I drove back to ********* and the very next business day I called them bc now a light was on the dashboard and the jeep was making very loud noises. I put down ****** on this jeep with a good warranty as they told me it would cover everything if something was wrong or they would fix it. The very next business day I called them and they was very helpful at first then they started to pass me around the office and start to lie to me and tell me to stop calling. I talked to ******* and he told me he wants to see me in person bc he is sure Im beautiful and he wants to get this fixed which made me very uncomfortable. Then I asked to speak with his boss and his boss name was ****** I asked him to please fix this or if not the lemon law states I can get my money back he told yelled at me and said get your lawyer and Ill get mine. They hung up so I called back then they put me on the phone with someone who would not disclose his name after I asked and told me to stop calling or they would not help me. I took the jeep to a mechanic 10-11-2024 and they opened up my warranty and they said they would not cover it. I ask the dealership to please give me my money back or fix it and they told me to stop talking and send me the claim. So now Im out over ****** and my car is in the shop now here 10-14-2024. And I dont know what to do that was all my savings. To be told they will take care of things then dont is very scary and makes me hurt bad bc that was all my money I had saved up for a reliable car thats not reliable.

Customer called some days after her sale and said she was having issues starting the vehicle. we bought her 2 new batteries. She then kept calling us over and over again about different issues. She demanded to speak to the owner and we let her know that he was out of office and she could speak to the *** She threatned us with lawyers, we explained to her that all vehicles are sold as-is and if she wanted to proceed with a laywer we would not be able to speak with her any longer. She then called repeatedly, over and over again. One of the last conversations we had with her, we offered to trade her out of this vehicle and she did not accept that offer. We did what we could for her.

This company refuses to refund my deposit for a car that I did not officially purchase. On January 2, 2024, when I applied to get a ***** Malibu, my auto loan with *********** did not get approved. During the 10 day window, and application process, I was allowed to take the car home while they verified my documents and income. I only had the car 17 hours before noticing service lights indicating that it was missing airbags, which is extremely dangerous to drive and unsafe. The salesperson "*********************" picked up the car on January 3rd to "fix" the "Service Safety Restraint System" light showing that the airbags were defective. It had been in several accidents unbeknownst to me. He was very unprofessional and has since been fired. A few days later, while they were supposedly "fixing" the car, I found out that the auto loan was denied because I was a 1099 employee with a new job. They told me to check back in 90 days to show consistent income. It's now April and past the 90 days so CapitalOne approved my loan. Absolute Auto offered to put my deposit toward another vehicle at their lot. However, I decided to purchase a car elsewhere due to the negative experience I had with them and the poor quality of "wrecked cars" they were selling customers. Management (***) is very rude and informed me that "this is what happens when you own your own business, you can do what you want and make your own rules" when I asked him to show me in the policy where it stated I couldn't get my money back. I've been dealing with them since January, which makes this month 4 of trying to rectify this problem. I would like to move on, get my money back and will never do business with them again or recommend anyone else to their company.

Initially, my salesman drove all the way to her home to pick her up, she drove it back to our lot with our salesman. That was her test drive. For her to say she didn't notice the warning light is almost impossible, but regardless we did let her know we would take care of it. The vehicle was drivable and the issue wasn't the airbags, it was a sensor. A very inexpensive and simple to install part. I would like to add that when it comes to the history of our vehicles, we are fully transparent. All our vehicles have carfaxes on our website and we can always print them off at the customers request. As far as the loan, it was approved with cap one but with conditions. One of those conditions were proof of income. The income she inputted was not reflecting on her paystubs and we were waiting on her to provide the correct documentation when it came to that. We picked up the vehicle to fix it, and she was ok with that at first. After we picked up the car she called the bank and said she wanted to cancel everything. That was a surprise to us considering we had already let her know we were fixing the vehicle and she seemed fine with that. The deal with the down payment was that she could put that towards another vehicle. She called us yesterday and said she bought elsewhere because she didn't see anything on our lot that she liked. The vehicle was sold as-is, we did our part of providing her with financing, and we fixed the mechanical issue.

If you value your time, car, money, or sanity, do NOT go to Absolute Auto Center Boro on Broad Street in ************. This has very easily been the worst experience as a customer I have ever had. February 5th, I went in to buy a car, because my father, *********************, had bought most of his cars through them and did right by him, but apparently after my father passed, they stopped caring entirely. After test driving a few cars, I decided on a 2018 Dodge Charger with a little over ****** miles on it. I paid ****** in CASH, plus another ***** for the premier plus warranty under the pretense that they would fix the backup camera that wasnt working. I took a day off work thinking that I could get it resolved that day, but little did I know it would be over a month before I got my car back. They put me in 3 different loaner cars. The first one I had a week before they said they had fixed my car. Upon picking up my car, not only was the backup camera not fixed, but somehow they had disconnected the wiring for my blinker, and my dash said service electronic stability control. At this point, I was obviously upset, and the general manager *** (a complete joke) legitimately started pointing and laughing at me through the glass window while I was expressing my concerns to another customer. As if ALL OF THIS WASNT ENOUGH, the next loaner car they put me in had every single light lit up on the dash. ABS off, traction control off, brake light, etc. Because of work and their hours, it was a full week until I was able to bring that piece of garbage back up to get a suitable vehicle. Fast forward to today. It has now been over a month since dropping my car off, and today I received texts saying that if I didnt return my loaner vehicle within 24 hours, they would report the vehicle stolen, AND I would have to pay a daily rental fee. Make that make sense. Youre reporting the car stolen, but Im PAYING for it? Like I said, everyone who works here is an absolute clown and a joke.

We did promise the customer to fix the back up camera issue. We assumed it was a simple fix but upon further inspection we noticed it was a bigger issue than anticipated, which is why we put him in a loaner car. being that ************ does not specialize with electrical/ wiring issues we took the vehicle to another shop. We cannot control the other shops work flow and we also cant control how long the fix will take to be done. We usually don't do loaner cars but because of the situation we decided it would be best to make an exception for the customer. the vehicle was done Friday 3/15 and we called the customer multiple times and left a message. We did not get a response from the customer until Monday 3/18. He stated that he lost the key to the loaner vehicle and expected us to take care of it and send a lock *****. We let him know he would be responsible for the cost of getting a key made considering he is the one that lost it. If we lost his key I'm sure he would expect us to replace it for him. Nonetheless, we referred a locksmith to him. The key was made and after multiple attempts to see when he was bringing our car back and picking his up, their was no answer. That is when we text him and let him know he had 24hrs to bring it or we would have to report it stolen. That was due to the non-communication on his end. The customer dropped the loaner vehicle off late Wednesday afternoon, 5 days after his car was ready. Its unfortunate that he feels like he was given poor service but we took care of him and his vehicle the best we could considering the circumstances.

Obviously they only care about the money that they make. The bottom line is, they think they did right by me, but all they really didnt. Threatening to report the car stolen while also forcing me to pay a rental fee makes absolutely zero sense

He was NOT charged anything and the vehicle wasn't reported stolen because he brought it back. We did our part for the customer and he cannot return the vehicle unless he would like to trade it in which he will then get offered trade-in value.

I can't fit it all on here, it's just too much. I traded in my truck for 2014 Silverado March 31st 2023. The next day started knocking changed the oil had metal all in it, drove 2 miles to my mechanic. Motor is blown. **** made them tow it back finally in like *** I think, have everything text and everything we have talked about. Got told Oct 25 2023 it was finally ready and I had to go give them ******* to get it back because that was my part of the cost to pay... then drive off 50 miles down the road and broke down. They didn't fix nothing they have kept stringing me along and if you only knew the details and how they have handled this with me you wouldn't believe it I feel like. But I'm waiting for the bank to get them to buy it back but I think I'm going to have to get a lawyer idk I drove that truck 2 days barely within the last 7 months and have no ride now. They have screwed me so bad and they just think its funny from how things have went. I just need everyone to know, i WOULD NOT wish this experience on my worst enemy.

After purchase the customer called us saying the truck was having issues. The vehcile was towed in and we determined the engine was the issue. We found an engine out of state and it took a while for it to come in. Once the enginne arrived we had to order some parts for it, we could only locate and order from the ***** dealer and most parts were on back order by 2-3 months which was alot of the hold up. The engine labor alone was over 26hrs. In between all that we had one mechanic at the time. Business doesnt stop so we did have to pause many times to work on our own vehicles as well. Keep in mind we did provide him with a loaner vehicle as we working on his truck. The truck got done, we drove it for a couple days to assure everything was working as it should, once we felt it was ready to go we called the customer to pick it up. It took him a week and some days to come get it. Not sure if he drove it too hard but within a couple hours of picking it up the customer called and said the truck was having issues again. we sent a tow truck to get it picked up. We are now fixing it and close to having it done and the customer is not wanting the truck anymore. Unfortunately that is not an option. Considering the customer signed as-is paperwork, we did not have to help with the fixing but we did and have put over $10k in the vehcile. We understand his frustration but we have gone above and beyond for him, we cannot control parts availability. We will let the customer know when its ready and he can come pick up his truck.

At the time of the sale on 2/17/23, the representatives assured me that the vehicle was in pristine condition and had never been involved in any accidents. You explicitly claimed that the Jeep Wrangler was "clean" and safe for use. Relying on these false representations, I agreed to purchase the vehicle and subsequently secured financing through a financial institution. Regrettably, it has come to my attention that these statements were knowingly false and misleading.Upon closer inspection by an independent mechanic, it has been determined that the ******************************************************************************************************************************* This structural damage has rendered the vehicle unsafe to drive and poses a significant risk to my safety, as well as the safety of other road users. The undisclosed structural damage not only jeopardizes the structural integrity of the vehicle but also significantly diminishes its value.Furthermore, it has come to light that Absolute Auto provided false information to the financial institution that financed the purchase of the vehicle. This dishonesty not only jeopardizes the terms of the financing agreement but also constitutes a breach of trust between your dealership and the financing institution.

We offer carfax reports for free on all our vehicles. The customers complaint about this Jeep was it was in a previous accident and wanted out of it 6 months after purchase. We couldn't trade out of it, due to all the negative equity he put into the deal with the trades he added to it. He bought two other vehicles from us before with no issues. He came back to us to help find out how he can trade in the car and we walked him through the process of how only a new car can hold that much negative equity. We've done nothing but offer professional service from his first car purchase with us to now.

We recently purchased (8/12/23) a new to us car from Absolute Auto. We noticed something needed to be fixed and worked it into the contract to bring it back and have that fixed. Before we took it back to them to have that fixed, we noticed another issue. The salesman said no problem they could get that complimentary fixed too, since it should have been fixed before the car ever left the lot. When we dropped it off, he stated it would be ready the next day, we went back and it wasn't. The salesman asked if we could give a couple more days. We did with no problem. That turned into them having the car for 3wks, with multiple excuses, promises and lies about when the car would be ready, and where the car even was (it was not on their property, and they lied about where it was and would not disclose the location when I asked). I finally let them know that I would be picking the car up no matter what. After picking it up, we noticed that it had been driven around 100 more miles than when we dropped it off, and they had to put enough gas in it just so we could make it to a gas station. There was also trash in it, which is no big deal, except for the nut shell because my daughter is allergic to tree nuts. Before leaving, Absolute did offer to clean the car, but at that point I was fed up and just wanted my car back. We have now paid off the car (around 9/21/23) and the lender stated that if GAP insurance was purchased Absolute Auto would be refunding that. I text the salesman, and he told me who I needed to talk to, which I tried to contact. I have tried calling and emailing and have not receive an answer. This has now been week since reaching out to them with no luck. I will not be using this place again!

      Business Response

The issue with the top was that we believed the issue was alot simpler to fix which is why we estimated a couple days. Unfortunately with this vehicle being a 2010 beetle, parts are typically not in stock and can only be bought thru the manufactuer. That is what held us up. The vehicle did get fixed, and as the customer stated we did offer to clean it but the customer did not allow us to. As far as the gap cancellation, that was done but we are waiting for the refund to come in so we are able to supply the customer with her refund check. Its typically a 6-8 week turn around process. That is not something we can control. When her refund comes in we will mail it to the address we have on file.

July 22, 2023 me and my girlfriend drove 2 1/2 hours to absolute auto center in hopes of getting my dream car. I had contacted them about it the day before. Its a 2017 dodge **** pack. they said there was nothing wrong with car, that he had drove it to *********. I had been saving my money up to be able to purchase a car. he said it would be ***** down and the WARRANTY would cover it if anything ever needs work done. I also asked if it would still be covered if I got it worked on at a dodge dealership in gadsden, they said yes. I went through with the purchase, on the way home during our 2 1/2 hour drive I had to put air in the *********** I get home and the next day it over heats. so I checked the coolant. It had a thick mustard yellow substance in it. I contacted absolute auto about the issue and they said it just needed flushed and refilled with water. I let 2 mechanics in gadsden look at it and they both said it was a blown head gasket and the oil was leaking into the coolant (which later causes MAJOR motor issues) I let them know what they both said and he had agreed, from here on out they were rude and basically telling me I can let there mechanic fix it (they were possibly not going to fix it right or it wouldnt have been a issue in the first place) and I couldnt get it fixed here. Then stated if they come get it, it would be a repossession on my record. I called the bank that financed it and told them the situation and they suggested declining it because of mechanical issues. So they sent a tow truck to pick up the car. The multiple times Ive tried to talk to them about my down payment theyre basically telling me I will not get it back and they were going to use it to work on cars. so now Im out of a car and $***** I even said I would come up there and they threatened with calling the police. I just want my down payment back. so I can get a reliable car with my hard earned money. I also have the paperwork, pictures and messages for proof, if needed.

We offered to get the vehicle towed back to our dealership at no cost to the customer. We also offered to fix the issue. The customer stated he didn't want the car anymore, we did let him now that wasn't an option considering the vehicle was sold AS-IS and all sales are final. He called the bank and cancelled the deal with them and called us requesting the money back. At this point the car has been fixed, it was a simple fix at that. The customer is free to pick up the vehicle or he can use the **** towards another vehicle.

I bought a 2018 Audi Q5 from Absolute Auto on October 25, 2022. On November 4, 2022, the car broke down while on a trip to ***********, **. I took it to the nearest dealership *********** in ***********) who did a thorough inspection. They sent me a video of the inspection. The radiator mounts were completely broken and the radiator was being held on by zip ties. Additionally, the thermostat housing was broken, secondary to this issue, causing the car to overheat. Absolute Auto had my car towed back to another dealership closer to them to have it repaired on November 8, 2022. They said that dealership worked on European cars and it would be fixed in short order. Today is November 17, 2022. I found out today that Absolute Auto now has my car back at their dealership- this was done without my knowledge- and they refuse to give me a timeline on when the car will be repaired. I do not trust them after all of this. I want the car repaired at an authorized Audi dealership, at Absolute Auto's expense.

We originally took the vehicle to another shop to make the customer more comfortable, we let her know the parts were going to take a little longer than expected and we would update her once the parts were in so we could take it to the other shop and have them work on it. The customer kept calling our lot as well as the other shop for an update when their was no update to give until parts were in, the other Shop got so frustrated that they decided they did not want to work on the vehicle and asked us to pick it up. We did so and started on it right away to get it knocked out. We then took it to a local European shop so they could over look the work to which they let us know everything checked out fine. We do understand her frustration and sympathize with the customer, some things are just out of our control when it comes to parts and the availability of them as well as another shops process when it comes to when they get started on a vehicle or why they would refuse to work on one. The vehicle is ready and good to go.

I am rejecting this response because: The car is not repaired. Picked up from Absolute Auto yesterday, and the undercarriage cover wasnt attached. Also, multiple sensors went off. Taking to my own mechanic for repairs that I can trust. I will not do business with Absolute Auto again. I want my license plate mailed to me promptly.

      Sincerely,

We replaced everything we promised we would replace out of goodwill considering the vehicle was sold as is. As I stated before we did take the vehicle to a European shop after the fixings and they did let us know the vehicle had no codes or issues. from there we let her know the vehicle was ready to be picked up and to bring in the $1500 she owes towards her down payment which is on paper and signed by her. She refused to pay, jumped in the vehicle and nearly ran over the mechanic while doing so.
