on 03/01/2023 I purchased brakes and rotors online from Brembo that I never received. On 3/16/2023 I emailed them to check the status of my order but I received no answer. On 3/17/2023 I was told to check with my neighbors which I had already did that and they did not have it. On 3/18/2023 I was told that they would start an investigation.Initial Complaint

I purchased a rear brake rotor and pad kit from Brembo and did not have the time to install it for 4 months. When I went to install the brakes, the rear rotors were incorrect for my vehicle. I had to take another vehicle to ******** and purchase correct rotors to get my vehicle working since it was taken apart. Brembo sent me the wrong part and now refuses to refund me since the 30 day return window has passed. They do not stand by their work or their products.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/19) */ The customer received the parts that were ordered and requested a return over 100 days outside of our clearly posted site return policy. No return will be issued in this case. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The Brembo website told me that a certain rotor and pad kit would fit my car, so I ordered that kit. If I enter my same vehicle now in the website, it recommends a kit with a different part number. There was clearly an error in the site that has been fixed. It should not matter that I purchased the parts beyond the short return window - if a company stands by their workers, systems, and products then they should reimburse me for an error made on their part. I did receive the parts that were ordered, however the Brembo website erroneously told me that those parts would work with my vehicle. They did not. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/23) */ The customers assertion of a listing issue is not accurate. No changes have been made to the site regarding the fitment for the model of his vehicle or the parts that he ordered in error. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/08/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. Software errors are prevalent in all computer systems and websites. Unless the representative from Brembo that is responding to me is the person responsible for the actual implementation and maintenance of the website then they have no valid claim that I ordered incorrect parts in error. I assert that a system error on Brembo's website added the wrong parts to my cart when I put in my correct vehicle details. Unless I am refunded for the rotors from the brake kit I ordered, I will not be a satisfied customer and will continue to inform others online of Brembo's terrible customer service. Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2022/08/29) */ We have a agreed to a return with conditions. Thanks for you assistance in arbitrating the return.Initial Complaint

I used brembo USA to order new rotors for my ************ in March. I wasn't sure what to order but they had a search catalog feature so I used that and ordered the rotors that it said would fit my vehicle. It was winter when I ordered them so I had to wait for summer when the vehicle came out of storage and I could do the work. When I went to inspect the parts I ordered I found that they were for a different vehicle then what I had ordered. I contacted them and they stated I could not return them because they had a 30 day return policy but when I went on their website it did not say that so I sent them a screen shot and responded that it did not in fact say that anywhere on their site. A few hours later I received a somewhat rude response and a picture of a now changed return policy and was informed it's always been that way and that it was my fault for ordering the wrong parts not theirs. I have a screen shot to prove they have changed the policy before i brought it up to them and all I've been trying to do is get these returned and get my money back ($******) if it was in their policy to begin with id understand and have to live with it but it was not there until after I call it out.Business Response

Consumer Response /* (131, 7, 2022/07/11) */ If you also look online there is many other negative reviews stating they had the same or similar problems with brembo recommending the wrong parts or sending the wrong parts and refusing refunds. ************** is just one website I've found with these similar reviews. Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/07/21) */ The link to the 30-day return policy listed on the site since it's inception is here: https://www.brembostoreusa.com/returnpolicy/ The prodcut that the customer purchased is clearly listed here: https://www.brembostoreusa.com/product/disc-brake-rotor/09B43651 The item is not listed for any year or model ***** ******. Regretably we are not able to offer a return on orders over 30 days old per the listed policy. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/07/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) In order to even look at rotors on their website you have to enter your vehicle info into the search system. I have never owned a ********' **** I only purchase rotors based off of what their website said would fit. I ordered these in the winter to do when my car came out of storage and that's when I found they sent me the wrong rotors. You can "claim" the policy was always written on your site but I have submitted photo proof that shows otherwise. Your search system recommended me parts for the wrong vehicle and you refuse to make it right and return my $*** I will even ship them back to you they are still in the boxes. Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2022/07/25) */ We have a 30 day return policy and, in our experience, product returned after 30 days is rarely salable. If you would like to email photos of the parts and packaging we might consider return for store credit if the items and packaging are in proper condition.Initial Complaint

I purchased rotors and brake pads from brembo store USA. Upon a routine oil change my mechanic noted that the front brake pads had worn down to the metal. The car only had 4000 miles on the pads and rotors. My mechanic noted that the car was unsafe so I replaced the pads and rotors in the front. I sent brembo pics of the brakes, receipts from my mechanic and they have been unresponsive. They have no department I can call and I am forced to converse over email which they are not even responding to any longer.Business Response

Thank you very much for contacting us regarding the issue. We have communicated exentensively with **************** regarding this credit request. *** Brembo brake products that the customer ordered are high end replacement parts made by one of the most respected manufacturers in the business. Brake pads and rotors typically last 30 to 50 thousand miles and the products on this customers car lasted only 4 thousand miles. *** only way that any brake pad or rotor would wear out in that time frame is improper operation of the brake system or incorrect installation prodedures such as improper lubrication of the caliper mount bracket and pad contact points. We made a consolitory offer of $120 in good faith to cover replacement front pads but the customer refused the offer.Customer Answer

The response from brembo in this form is the most detail they have ever provided. Not once in any correspondence did they ever note this wear could have come from improper installation. Not once did I ever even get a phone call from brembo to assist in explaining and resolving further. I also asked this same exact question to my mechanic who made the repair and he did not note the same as brakes and rotor installs are very routine and the shop I had them originally installed has an impeccable record and does work for very high end cars. It should also be noted that I still have the rear pads and rotors from brembo on the car installed by the same garage and they continue to be in perfect condition. I still continue to contend that the pads and rotors were defective in some way And should be reimbursed.Business Response

There is no way that defective pads or rotors caused this issue. Our original offer of compensation in good faith stands.Business Response
