I am writing as a last resort I stayed at this campground for my 41st birthday August 1-August 3, 2022. Upon our last day we noticed that we had bites all over us and at breakfast I spoke to the manager ** along with a staff member ******* and pointed out all the bites and told him that I believe the camper cabin number *********************************************************** spiders. I wanted him to be aware to not rent that to anyone else and also when housekeeping went in for their health and well-being to be protected. At that point in time I should have requested a full refund but did not. Within 24 hours of us leaving I developed cellulitis and had a urgent care bill from all the bites. Each day the bites got worse and my whole family was affected. I continually called the facility and emailed the facility directly and attached to corporate as well. I attached pictures showing the severity and was told by corporate that each KOA is independently owned and operated and it would be up to the manager to do any type of refund or he would be solely responsible on how to handle the situation. It has been over a week and a half and I have yet to receive any type of phone call or email response from the manager TJ. Each day I leave at least 1 to 2 phone calls and every few days I do attempt to email as well. When I call the front desk constantly tells me he's in and out or he's not there. I truly feel like I'm getting the runaround and how would he feel if this happened to his family? I do believe this is a major health concern and that others need to be aware and hopefully can learn from my experience so this is why I am reaching out to see if there is any other type of resolution that can happen. I included pics, receipt and *********** discharge. If there is any help that y'all can do we would greatly appreciate it and the only other option I know is to do reviews everywhere I can to tell my story and include pictures so other families are aware.
