I had a home addition done in 2020. It included a new roof, HVAC unit, and adding a laundry, dining room, and screened porch. In addition, the master 1/2 bath was converted to a full bath. I loved the extra room and was thankful I had invested in my home. I am retired and want to avoid expensive items later on. I reported a leak 6 months after the job was completed. The owner sent his carpenter to look at it and repair it. He proceeded to use a caulk of some sort. This was the same person who did the installation. As a result of the leak, there was damage to my interior wall that I also reported to the owner. He never addressed it. I discovered a second leak in my ceiling. Again, reported, said he would send someone but never did. Fast forward 3 years. I notice a stain on my hardwood floor near the leak. I contacted my insurance company who came out. He took pictures and reported that a claim could not be made as the roof was not installed correctly. The chimney was not wrapped and there was zero flashing on the roof (even though I paid for it). I took the pictures of the roof that the insurance agent provided and the interior damage and sent them to the owner. The entire of the northwest quarter of my great room was rotted. All beams and flooring rotted to the crawl space. Ceiling - rotted. I had to take out a loan for $25,000 to repair the damage. His response was - It has been over a year. and YES, it was, however, a new roof should last much longer, and what about the repairs I had to pay for caused by negligence? 71 years old and have a long way to go on that loan. Shame. Shame. The contract was firm and I was a loser. I should have checked with BBB and hired one with good ratings. This company has no scruples and uses unskilled labor. (One star because I could not put a negative.)

Good day, this addition is over 4 years old and the homeowner has never contacted us regarding any issues. The state of TN had experienced several severe storms over the past 4 years and the storms may have damaged a shingle causing the leak. The damaged shingles are due to weather and are not a reflection of the quality of our work. We are happy to help in any way to resolve your issues. Thank you
