On 04/25/2024 I went to the family care center GGC for a CT scan that was ordered by my gastroenterologist Ashton E****. After CT report was finish around 5:14 pm I was called to go to the nearest ER which was greenview. Upon arrive the ER staff had no idea what they were doing and continued it leave me in the dark as far as knowledge as what was to do next. Once being told I was admitted to greenview, the hospitalist came into my ER and asked where the patient was, I was dumb founded by that question as I was lying in the bed and hooked up to monitors and so I replied “well I’d say it’s the person who is in the hospital bed and Hooked up to the wires, I found that very unprofessional. Upon moving upstairs to room *** later in the evening on 04/25. On 04/26 I had asked multiple times what was going on with my situation and was continued to be in the dark, I was crying in pain and was asking for assistance from my nurse(Amber) but anytime I pushed the pain button on the remote no one came, I finally got the attention of another nurse who helped me with ordering medication for pain and getting the next CT scan ordered, she could not understand why they hadn’t done anything as it was now 1pm. Once the scan came back I was told that I was backed up in my colon, and would need to clear out my stomach with miralax 3x and than try to drink prep for a deeper scope and/or colonoscopy. During my stay at greenview, the night nurse had told me about my first CT and advised me that if it went untreated w/o surgery my intestines would die, so you can only imagine how I felt hearing this and especially being so left in the dark by providers and nurses about what was going on with my condition. Once discharged this will be my last time coming to greenview hospital as my whole experience has been absolutely unprofessional. I feel it is never okay to not allow a patient to know what is going on with their health especially when being told to come to the ER right away after a CT.
