I used this business thru GreenPal to do some landscaping work on my property, he gave me a quote and asked for a deposit of $200.00 for supplies on May 30, 2023. Since then, he keeps telling me he will be at my home to start the work but never shows up and will not call me back to let me know what's going on. Also, I have contacted GreenPal several times and they said they could not help me. They also billed me $50.00 for lawn mowing that was not done.Business response

Was the $200 deposit paid through GreenPal? Also, I looked into your account and it showed that you received a confirmation email stating that your yard had been mowed. We send this notification to let homeowners know that they have 24 hours to approve or dispute the service and that your card will be charged. During this 24-hour period, homeowners can stop payment if the mowing was an error or fraudulent.Initial Complaint

There seems to be a little bit of confusion , so let me to clarify.. the locally owned lawn care services you can hire with your GreenPal account are not our contractors nor do they work for me. They pay a small fee (about $1 per transaction) to offer their lawn services on the GreenPal website. With that being said.. I am not in personal communication with them and can't make them to do anything. Basically ... Your GreenPal account helps you get bids, hire, schedule, and pay a local lawn care service. They set their own pricing , and I'm not able offer any discounts or refunds. Any service related issues will need to be worked out directly with the owner of the lawn service you hire. My job is to help by answering any questions about how you can use your GreenPal account to get bids, hire, schedule, and pay your local lawn care service ..sorry for any confusion. If you're not having any luck with your GreenPal account to get a lawn care service you like or that's in your price range, here are a few other websites like GreenPal that I recommend.

I created an account with ********************** for the first time, to find a lawn service, on 5/11. I received bids and chose Peaks Property Maintenance on 5/11. Peaks did not show up on 5/11, 5/12, or 5/13, and had not responded to any of the 5 texts that I sent asking about my service request, and their voice message was not set up to take messages. Although on the GreenPal app it states the phone number to call, and **** as the contact.I sent an email to GreenPal on 5/14 expressing my concerns of this service they support on their website. I received what appeared to be a form letter telling me how to use their website. ***** still hadn't shown up on 5/14.I learned on 5/14 that Peaks Property Maintenance scheduled recurring lawn services on my credit card for the remainder of this year, WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. I'm concerned about GreenPal service and the apparent blind support for their vendors, and lack of support for customers looking for reputable service providers. This vendor, Peaks, tried to fraudulently set me up for recurring services on my credit card, still hasn't shown up for the first service, and won't respond to texts/calls. I have deleted my account today 5/15 with GreenPal, however I would like to report the service and vendor for attempting to use my credit card without my authorization. This is fraud.Business response

After having a vendor randomly quit in the middle of service and not being notified in a timely manner, a new vendor had to be selected. A rate of $40 for the yard every 2 weeks was selected and agreed upon. Today, less than 24 hours before the next scheduled cut, the vendor changed the terms without discussion or approval to $55/cut on a weekly basis. There is no way to contact GreenPal to report this vendor directly. How many others have been unable to report the same thing happening?Business response

I signed up to their site to hire a specific lawn care provider. The guy sent me a quote but I didn't receive it. When I try to go back in it just freezes up and don't let me select anything! The guy I wanted to hire tried to see if he could set me up on his end and it tells him I hired someone else. Which I hadn't. Tried getting help through the texting on the app and I'm told there is no in person phone service! How do I get this resolved! Your site ***!Business response

Went on the app GreenPal to hire a landscaping company to cut my grass on July 21st 2022. I hired ***** *** Llc and everything was set for them to cut my grass. They were supposed to come the next day which was Friday 7/22/2022 They never came, nor did they call to let me know that wasn't coming. I reached out to them several times to find out if they were coming so that I could find another service if they wasn't, but still no response. Friday evening my neighbors landscaping company rang my Bell and asked if I needed him to cut my grass and my mom called me and confirmed that it was ok, well I thought it was ***** *** coming to cut the grass but initially found out that it was my neighbors company ******* landscaping who actually had cut my grass in the past that cut it that Friday. On Monday 7/25/22 at about 10:45 am ***** *** contacts me via text apologizes that they was just getting my text from last Thursday and Friday and wanted to know if I found someone else to cut my grass and I said didn't you cut it Friday and he said no, it was someone else, but wanted to know if I wanted him to go over it because it was still high, I said no but he asked me to lie to greenpal and say that he had cut my grass so that greenpal could unlock his account , because his account was locked by greenpal for not showing up to my residence in a 24hour period. I didn't agree to it, he went ahead and told greenpal that the job was completed at my residence, and greenpal emailed me and said the job was done and that I owed $45. I was angry, I looked for a phone number to call and file a complaint but all I could find was something on greenpal that if I had a problem to file a complaint there, soo I explained that ***** *** didn't cut my grass another service did. I received no response to greenpal, all I received was, saying if I had an issue with the company to try and work it out with them...greenpal charged my credit card for a service that wasn't rendered. I am sooo angry.Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept this response because I tried to reach greenpal by filling out a complaint and they never responded and I also tried to remove my credit card from the site and it wouldn't allow me to remove it prior to satisfying payment before doing soo Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/17) */ Give our support number a ring. 1-800-301-9528Initial Complaint

I submitted a bid for quotes to have my lawn mowed on 6/15/2022. After receiving several bids, I selected one on 6/22/2022 and set the service date for 6/27/2022 for $** per mowing biweekly. The first mowing on 6/27 went fine, they did an ok job. The next mowing was slated for 7/11/2022. On that day, I get a call from the business saying that he was the owner and he wasn't there on 6/27, but he was there now and that my yard is too big and he was going to charge me double to cut it. I was confused and iterated to him that was not the contracted price and his business is the one who offered up that price when I sourced the bids. He stated that was just a genetic price he sends on bids but then he decides later what the actual price will be once he gets to the property. I told him I didn't agree to that and he said he was leaving and to get someone else. This goes against the whole process of True Green's business model. Basically this contractor lowballs offers then inflates the price after you book on the day of your service. There is no response from customer service and this company is allowing customers to get scammed. You're only allowed two bids per year, so if it happens again, I cannot get another bid. True Green needs to hold their contractors accountable to quote fairly and to be held to the prices they quote. I went through the rebid process and one of the first contractors to pop up was the one that had just tried to scam me for the same $** quote! So it shows that they are just trying to get business then adjusting the price AFTER you select them which is a sham.Business response
