Be honest, **** ********. You simply paid the cancellation fee on an item that cost over 10,0000. You placed the item on layaway and your wife got mad at you for doing such. Rather than do the honorable thing and pay off your account, you chose to file a fraudulent credit card chargeback saying the fore end of the firearm didn't fit. You failed to mention, there were 43 pictures of the exact item you put on layaway viewable when you committed to buy and paid the non refundable deposit. The rifle was and still is absolutely perfect. Your credit card company clearly saw the shenanigans you are pulling and promptly refunded us your chargeback. ********* agreed with your credit card company as well and left you negative feedback and locked your account. Spewing bad reviews when you don't pay for an item is childish and unbecoming of any man.
If you ever read a negative review about us, we guarantee it is from someone similar to **** who didn't pay their layaway off and/or breeched contract.Business Response

I'm tired of dealing with this. I tried to make it work by recouping my losses by offering to reinstate the layaway but I just can't find it within myself to throw more good money after bad. I simply don't trust them to honor any agreement. Whether I give them ******* or ******** I doubt I'll ever see what I originally wanted or have anything tangible in the end of it all.
Delete my complaint. I'm done with this. ****** learned. I'm just out ******* for nothing.
GOD Bless,
****.

I made a purchase for a layaway and made payments( through gunbroker ). After realizing they were selling the same product for significantly less than they sold it to me, I reached out. They wouldnt do anything but agreed to add a handgun on layaway as well and knock $50 off no through GunBroker. There policy is 60 days of non payment means forfeiture however their policy also states that they will reach out before it comes to that. They never did but it seems they only want to follow the policy that benefits them and not what is fair to the consumer. The last payment I had made, I had told the employee, that I would be paying $50 now and the rest when I got my tax refund and he agreed. However now that also doesnt matter according to them. Not only this but I paid off the original layaway and an extra $300 towards the handgun and was ready to pay in full when I was told I basically would be getting nothing for the over $800 Ive given them.Business Response

**** didn't make his monthly payment on his layaway account on multiple occasions. Payments are due every 30 days. **** didn't make his monthly payment on at least 7 individual months. **** was told multiple times to make his payment every month, but he went over 90 days without payment before his items were permanently forfeited on 5-2-24 after multiple unanswered phone calls and no payment. This is a very poor attempt by **** to receive product he didn't pay for. We are referring this case to our attorney as **** has breeched contract and seeks to tarnish our business with his review.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Now the intimidation begins I see. I had a contractual agreement in regards to the *** lower and I paid the price of that lower three times over. The added handgun was a favor which was appreciated at the time however I didnt enter any forms contract on that. I was not contacted multiple times at all and to say you called me monthly is laughable. I only wanted to pay off the final balance once I received my tax refund as I mentioned to the employee on the phone in Feb and he was fine with it. When I went to do that i was told the owner would be consulted to see if something can be done. He was not understanding and I have a right to express my customer service experience. If nothing will be done after paying this business over $800 for nothing, I atleast can let people know that there is no empathy from this owner. No way to treat any person let alone a disabled veteran.
Sincerely,

The owner is threatening legal action over a review but i have left no review anywhere. Only filed this complaint to have help from the BBB resolving my issue with the business. This is intimidation and just downright dishonesty from this business owner.

I laid away a gun that Im not able to pay for. I asked to transfer the 600 dollars I put down on the law away to be transferred to another item. They told me no. They said if I did not buy the gun I laid away I would forfeit that money. I want my money back or a reasonable resolution would be to allow me to spend the down payment on another item. And not lose it.Business Response

He actually never has asked us to release him from the layaway contract he agreed to. He actually purchased another gun since the complaint was made.
Prior to putting any item on layaway, we do make it clear that layaway funds are not transferrable. ****** knew this when he entered into the agreement.

Better Business Bureau:
I agreed to the terms of the contract when I laid the gun away. Due to unforeseen circumstances Im not able to follow through with that commitment. I did talk to *******? ******* he told me if I didnt pick up or pay on the law away that money would be forfeited. I did buy another gun since the gun I laid away. I appreciate your time on this. I just needed to know where the companies rights end and mine start. You have made that perfectly clear. I wont take the money back under any circumstances. I will not take merchandise for the outstanding money applied to the lay away. As far as everyone is concerned the case is closed. Please tell the gun crew they can keep the money. And thank them for being so courteous and understanding. Thank the bbb for bothering with such a small instance that really doesnt mean much to anyone.oh by the way I went to buy the gun after the lay away and there were four workers in the store and they all heard me get told if I needed to pay on the lay away by the 23rd. But I was very embarrassed by this comment. I was too embarrassed and ashamed to tell them in front of the other people there that I did not know what was going on with my health. So Im sorry about the whole thing. I dont want them to be punished or have a **** against them. I made a mistake and I accept the loss.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am rejecting this response because I heard the person in the background say I did this once before with ammunition. The problem is I bought approximately 4-5 items from them in a short period of time with No Issues! When I would call to make payments on the ammunition, I would be told we dont do layaway on ammunition, and they wouldnt look deeper or find the file so I could make a payment when I called! I had to send it to them if I recall, and call close to 6-7x before they realized they did infact offer a case of ammunition on layaway and I was finally able to make my payment but I had to do all the work. Even then they didnt care to be sure they were either. They were proven wrong, and I was able to make my payment and recieve my ammunition. I cannot help, but it wonder if that was their intention, then as well, to try to delay this beyond the cut off so I would lose my money in that situation as well.Additionally, my brother called them to make them aware I was in the hospital due to being diagnosed with Lymphoma. They claim he never called. They dont know who he spoke to. I heard the same guy say just tell him he lost the weapon. They called 3 days earlier AND LEFT NO VOICEMAIL! So because I was hospitalized, I missed the agreement cutoff date by 3 days. They didnt even offer as much as a $5.00 credit toward anything else they simply didnt care and it was clear this is what they wanted as he hung up on me. They have $400 +/- of my money, I am a repeat customer having spent $2500 or more in a previous 12 month period with them. Its shocking how little they cared about the previous issue that was THEIR FAULT! I couldnt give my money to them when we had an agreement because they didnt care enough to look for it! I finally got someone to dig deeper as mentioned above and paid it off in full. At the very least customers need to be aware that it is clear they do not care about you one bit, and if they get an opportunity to keep several hundred dollars of your money and then sell your item to someone else they will do it because it is clearly their intention! Rules are rules as I stated to them because I am fair and understanding and even having cancer in my opinion does not exempt somebody from rules. That is what hes referring to when he said I admitted it. But it needs to be understood that this company is aware that they made one phone call per the agreement, but did not care to leave a voicemail, or wait 3-4 days for a return call, instead they decided to sell my weapon to someone else so they claim, and keep my money. I dont know the exact amount yet because Ill throw up as Im not in a position to lose that kind of money, but they didnt even so much as show any concern whatsoever, I heard the conversation as they didnt even place me on hold, and the tone in their voice was as if they won another freebie, so customers should be aware who theyre dealing with in this company! Proceed with caution because if anything goes wrong, their goal is to keep your money and not even so much as extend the courtesy of a voicemaill, as it states in the agreement they will attempt to call you at least once if I recall which is all they did, just one phone call with no voicemail when they couldve left one. I dont know what business finds it beneficial to have a repeat customer whos spent now at least $3500 in the past two years with them and turn them into someone who finds them reprehensible in their behavior and actions. What hes referring to by I admitted it, was , because I told them I would even send them documentation of my diagnosis which is my private health history because Im not exempt from the rules in the hopes that they would allow me to make a payment or to keep the credit towards something else. I could understand better if they at least applied a penalty but offered a credit of sorts. But no! And even more so, you are allowed to leave this item on layaway for ever per their term so long as you pay the interest, and all it wouldve done was cost me more making them more money, but they didnt even care to do that. I will be filing a complaint with both the ******** and ********* state ************************ to be sure they are in compliance with layaway and lending terms as it is ******* clear this company seeks to keep customers money if they get the chance. At the very least, this describes what type of operations places, and how heartless they are! So again, that is what theyre referring to on the phone is that I said by no means does my cancer diagnosis exempt me from any rules , and the fact that I was in the hospital with other things on my mind, of course does not exempt me from the rules. Thats what hes referring to when he says, I admitted it. They couldve very easily said they sold my weapon because i missed the date, but you are a repeat customer & wed like to keep you, and heres a credit towards something else, even if it wasnt the full amount, but they didnt do it, they didnt care, I heard the conversation, they know I could hear the conversation between the two people and the lack of care and compassion in their voice was astonishing. I cannot describe it any other way as they got what they wanted with their layaway program , FREE MONEY! Im in the hospitality business, and it would seem to me at the very least as a business owner, you would show some sort of concern towards your customer, a repeat customer for that matter, and offer something, even if its a credit or partial credit towards another purchase, even if it has a penalty fee, as I mentioned above, even if its a 25 or 50% credit to be ridiculous on the $300 or so I paid, but they didnt do that. They did not care, they did not leave a voicemail, and everything indicates this played out exactly as they hope these situations will. I pay a higher price with this company because of their layaway program as it works for me currently due to my health situation, allowing me to spread out payments. The choice to pay a higher price is mine and mine alone but I liked this company and found their program very useful to me and my current situation. To not leave a voicemail, and to not give 3 days to respond is in my opinion bad business practice and reprehensible. Buyers need to be aware that this company is incredibly unprofessional by allowing someone to overhear that conversation, and the way they talked, and that they are not your friend, they do not appreciate your business or your repeat business for that matter, it is that you are an inconvenience to them and their intention is to keep your money if they have the slightest chance to do so and that is what they had here. They had the slightest chance by three days to keep my money and thats what they wanted to do. I find them repulsive. I bet the owner is not involved in this, and if he or she is, it is shocking. I have referred at least six or seven people to them to which I know a minimum of three people bought something from them based on my recommendation and I will share with them and everyone I know that this company is not part of the gun community, is not part of those who play by the rules in this serious business, they are not one of us, they are disgusting. Any decent human would leave a voicemail and allow three days or four days that it took me to respond due to my health issues, but they did not choose to do that. They are unlike any company Ive ever dealt with in my life.
This company is disgusting and its a shame that people like this exist. I will be following up with both State AG offices. CUSTOMERS BEWARE, these are not good people and there are other players on the platform who offer layaway! I suggest you steer well clear of these people and this company as Ive seen other reviews with similarities.
Sincerely,

Plain and simple, the "buyer" didn't follow the terms of the layaway contract. He lost the items for non payment. No one would be having any conversation concerning this matter if he had just paid according to the terms he agreed to. Thanks, TGCInitial Complaint

The seller engaged in deceiving and misleading business practices. I have an item on layaway that I missed 1 payment for. Their terms and conditions state 2 payments create forfeiture. They canceled the layaway and took over ****. After the missed payment they forfeited the layaway than didn't accept future deposits. In addition * months later they said I could reinstate but without applying any previous payments. Furthermore they charged *% monthly interest on layaway balance even though it's not a loan. That per annum interest is **% and is usury in TNBusiness Response

Here is there layaway policy: 2 points to note: 1. Interest is charged- this is not allowed for layaway as money was not loans nor were good recieved- in addition per annum apr is 36% and would be considered usury in Tennesse 2. Forfeiture is after 60 days, not about a bounced check. Seller initiated forfeiture against terms and conditions. Follow up payment was sent to seller the next month in which they didn't deposit. I can show bank statements of check mailed after initial one bounced to maintain layaway. The remedy to have all Monies deposited by seller against original balance without interest assessed as per FTC interest cannot be on layaway. The Gun Crew offers a very attractive layaway package. Please bid on the item as you normally would. There is no need to tell us prior to bidding you would like to use our layaway option. The initial deposit needs to be 20% of the item's closing price. As long as the item is paid for within one month, there is no interest! If the item isn't paid for after the first month, 3% interest is charged on the remaining balance. The item can be kept on layaway forever as long as the interest is paid each month. Credit Card payments are subject to a 3% charge. An item is considered forfeited if no monies are collected within a 60 day timeframe. We always attempt to contact our customers by phone prior to forfeiture.
