My husband & I have been taking yearly trips to the mountains for the last 7 years & the only place we book through is American Patriot Getaways! They are simply the best, they offer deals throughout the year on cabins & are always right there when you need them. I HIGHLY recommend booking with them.

We loved our cabin. We had to stay an extra day because of MS weather and they gave us a discount. Lady who helped me was super nice on the phone.. no trouble to check in.American Patriot Getaways

My children and grandchildren met at Pot O Gold on Nov 29 to stay 2 nights. The cabin was nice but...To say this cabin was a disappointment is an understatement! No hot water, no wifi, hot tub was cold until midnight, could not get the gas fireplace lit! the railing on the main deck was terribly loose! we could not go on the deck because of this! Called customer service, but all they could say is that they would put in a call to maintenance, but they may not get there until Sunday! and our stay ended on Sunday. They came in and fixed the hot water but it still was not worth anything close to what we paid! We used to stay with Patriots all the time, but never ever again. They offered 10% off because of our trouble. What a disgrace! That's like saying the total will be $1200.00 for 2 nights but you may not have hot water, or gas fireplace, or use of the hot tub and you cannot use the deck!!! Pathetic. It's a shame that the customer is not protected anymore on anything like this. It just seems like these rental businesses can do what they want to do to people. The customer service did not resolve any of our problems.American Patriot Getaways

It would be nice if guests would update their review. The reality is the guest was offered well over 10% of their stay. She demanded 50% off of her stay which she received. She didn't spend $1200 for this visit either. This is an inflated number. Also, the guest called in a demanded a comp from the beginning of their stay. They were told no comp until we were given the opportunity to fix the issues, they reluctantly accepted service. Guest made sure to remain unhappy until they received compensation. They were given multiple offers which were fair and reasonable not taking any of them until they got what they wanted. Worst Customer Service, no actual resolution to the infested cabin and would not give a refund (apart from the cleaning fee) We booked a luxury cabin in TN and upon arrival it was infested with beetles. There was even a note letting us know they were in the area and would return. Thousands of beetles, crawling on every surface and on anyone if you stood still more than a few minutes. There were dozens in the bed within the sheet. The cabin was not well sealed and I suspect based on the location it was an issue. They sent pest control out only after I called, but told me it wouldnt do any good. They did not offer to move us to another cabin. The rep was incredibly rude and told me every cabin in the area would have the same issue. It did not by the way, we checked out after 36 hours, moved to a cabin less than 3 miles away and didnt see another beetle for the rest of the trip. Our family saved for over a year to attend this vacation and was so disappointed with the condition of the cabin and the utter lack of resolution. They essentially stole our money, no reasonable person could consider that cabin habitable. I would never rent from them again and will let everyone know about these thieves.American Patriot Getaways

This guest dealt with one of our Guest Service folks who, treated her with respect and offered her services including pest control and housekeeping. She declined housekeeping and pest control was sent. It takes 48 hours for treatment to work and even still Tennessee Law protects certain types of lady bugs from treatment. This guest was given fair warning we were having these issues. The ladybugs were awful this year and if you were in their migratory path it was worse. We didn't have another cabin to move her to that we could guarantee this wouldn't be an issue. She called back demanding compensation and she was offered her cleaning fee. 1 starFilthy, outdated, pest problem list goes on and on. Grounds unkept, cabin interior old and outdated with many things either damaged or worn out, dust all over, hair in bathroom, spider webs galore, mouse droppings in drawers, under sink cabin windows disgusting, hot tub side panels missing, no chlorine and no steps. Fireplace doesn’t work basically we have been cleaning since we got here from a 9.5 hour trip, found unlocked cabin that was 52 degrees inside! one of the worse decisions I’ve ever made to stay here. After spending 39 years in the military staying all over the worlds this is one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Run do not walk from this business!Review fromDonna J

5 starsThis cabin on top of the mountain was thee best place my family and I stayed at while on vacation. This was our dream vacation home and it did not let us down. We all was in complete AWE the minute we walked in. Most beautiful and Amazing outlook that we could even ask for. We will forever remember this vacation as the best ever!! Rooms and common areas were spacious and nothing out of place. The cabin couldn’t have been done any better by anybody. The entire cabin was a complete dream house for all 18 of us who stayed there. We will always vacation with Patriot Getaways and spread the word of their beautiful properties. Thank you for making it possible for my family to vacation together. Our Family Thanks You!!
