I purchased a 2015 **** Fusion from Dougs Auto sales in April 2024 for my son as his first vehicle. He drove it for a minimum of 2 weeks and it overheated and shut down. We took it to finally figure out what was wrong with it and found out that the coolant has leaked all in the engine and now needs a new engine. Paid ***** for this vehicle to run for a few weeks.Business Response

This place is trash and the employees are too. The building looks decent but all of their cars are cheap and in poor condition, they do all they can to hide that fact. Clearing codes off dashes so a buyer wont see, spray painting over rust buckets so its difficult to see, motors blowing up days/weeks after purchases.. these are just a few examples of the shady dealings.I went in with my family today to look at purchasing a vehicle that looked clean. my father(who owns a transmission shop)tagged along to give it a thorough looking over.as we were looking under the hood(no one had come out to us)we were approached by a rude older gentleman that closed the hood on us and said someone is here to test drive this.we explained to him we had been out here for 20mins waiting for someone and he said you walked to this car, you couldve easily walked inside to find someone too that set the tone for us. that family did their drive and came back, said they didnt want it cause it shifted weird. when I took the keys he said are you gonna test drive it or just stand there? we close in 45 mins.on our test drive we found the torque converter was shuddering, which is very common with this vehicle.we also checked the transmission fluid and it was bright red, indicating they knew of the issue and tried to flood it with new fluid to prevent it from occurring. we came back and went inside to ask about having the vehicle for a night to put it on our rack and look it over. they said they dont allow that, I told them the issues and they said ok whatever you say. buy it as is or dont I explained my dad has a shop and they said sure, everyone buying a car is a mechanic we then said we would like to negotiate a cash offer noting the issues and they said again, yeah, sure. everyone has a cash offer too I asked to speak with a manager, and as I was walking over I hear the same employee say to a coworker just a bunch of f*****g a$holes about my family and I. DO NOT GO HERE!Business Response

I had bought a vehicle from here in Feb. of 23. After I had bought it I noticed there was some rusting on it, but I didnt think it was that much of a problem, but it was TREMENDOUSLY WRONG! I just recently had it worked on, and they said there was countless rust spots filled with bondo, the under frame is rusted, and the floor is almost ready to fall in. The person who fixed my vehicle stated that they have done multiple vehicles for ****, that were very rusted, but mine was the worst out of them all. These problems were intentionally hidden, and I was told there was NOTHING wrong with the vehicle.Business Response

Purchased a **** ***** Avalanche **** around early August of 2023. I was told it was in running condition, Was told the vehicle was a good vehicle. The *** codes had been cleared by the business, No repairs were done to the vehicle. The starting millage was not even correct on the paper work. Took months to finally get them to start the paperwork to transfer tags. AC was not fully functional (intermittent) even after repairs HVAC system still malfunctions. The vehicle has serious driving issues with the throttle control system. MAF sensor was bad, Throttle Body Sensor was bad, Accelerator Sensor was bad. The oil filter was not fully connected to the vehcile which could have blown the engine. Even after replacing the damaged parts vehicle still has serious issues that cripple the vehicles performance and usability. (keeps entering Limp home mode). In my honest opinion witht he way they act when these issues are presented, they are quick to get rude, dismissive, and try and demand it was an as is purchase. There are laws that protect buyers, from these very practices and theivery. Lemon Law. If they will repair this vehicle in Entirety and get it running. Then that would be a justified means to an end and a decent resolution to this issue.Business Response

19 year old vehicle its was sold As/IsCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Telling someone service has been performed, maintained, and serviced by your mechanics and this being signed into an agreement nullifies the "As is" you are standing behind. Even the CarFax was falsified as millage and other details do not match actual ODO readings at time of purchase. I was told an oil change was performed, This also was incorrect as the shop I took it to showed me proof the oil was not new. The oil filter was not put on properly, Not sure if this was intentional, as this also could have blown the motor had I not caught it in time. The transmission is shifting incorrectly, the ***/TCM codes where cleared to HIDE the fact that the vehicle was not in proper running condition at time of sale as agreed upon in signature. Barely any gas in the vehicle to do a proper road test cause you are aware soon as it hits highway/interstate speeds the *** will re-diagnose and throw engine codes. Your business practices are evil, predatory, and downright illegal. Clearing ***/TCM codes prior to selling is not legal, Full discosure of the issues of the vehicle are mandatory. The Emergency/Parking brake never worked presenting a severe road hazard. and potentially life threatening situation. Selling a vehicle that is not road worthy and presents a danger to the buyer, and other motorists on the road is just diabiolical. Selling a vehicle as is ,would be perfectly legal if ALL issues were disclosed honestly and up front. The fact you and your mechanics hid all issues wrong with this vehicle, falsifying Reports, you are not protected under "as is" clause. I will be recomending anyone and everyone not to deal with you or your company. You refuse to make right the wrongs you have committed, refuse to take responsibility for your lies and intentional deceptions. I will also be consulting legal assistance in this matter since you and the entirety of ****'s Auto Sales refuse to rectify the wrongs and potential life threatening issues regarding this vehicle.Concluding, "As is" does not mean you can lie, cheat, falsify, and steal from customers. Full disclosure of any and all issues must be presented BY LAW to buyers. Period....
Sincerely,

I went to ****'s to get my wife a replacement car. I had discussed my situation with them. I explained my wife has MS and need dependable car. I also explained we had our other car in shop.and was being bullied but them trying not to honor a warranty we got when we bought van. We paid $8000 for a ****** Pathfinder and about a week after our temporary tags ran out the car started acting up. It will not shift like it should and I believe the transmission is out. The reviews about the car lot states claims about people buying cars and transmission going out. I fell we were lied to and would like a refund or replacement car of equal value. I don't have $8000 to just spend and less than a month car transmission fails. Please help us with this problem thanks for your time.Business Response

There are other people that have posted that same thing happened to them. If they want do anything to make this right and I'm assuming the BBB is not doing anything as well then only thing I can do is share my story in a review **** wife will do the same. If anyone every ask me about ****'s Auto I will say stay away. I guess if they can lay there head down at night and it not bother them I guess it show who they are. God has a plan for me and my wife. That is just a $8000 ****** and move on.Sincerely,
