On June 8th, this company sent an employee to my house to correct a ceiling fan wiring issue in one room, and inspect a ceiling fan brace in another room. I was not home that day, but my husband was working from home and was there to let him in and pay him upon completion. Fan #1 with a non-working switch was working before they arrived by the pull chains only. Fan #2 seemed a little wobbly, and I had asked for the brace to be inspected and tightened. After working upstairs for a bit, the employee came downstairs and told my husband all was corrected. My husband thanked him and gave him the check for $150. I arrived home around the time my husband got off work. We went to our bedrooms to check the fans, and as soon as we flipped the switch to fan #1, it blew the breaker to all of the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. Fan #2 had not been touched. I immediately called the company back, they apologized, and said they would come back to fix the work. We spent all night and the next day with no working lights in bedrooms or bathrooms. The employee returned the next evening after 7pm, and spent approximately an hour and a half on fan #1. Asking my husband and I to help hold things, sending sparks flying by pulling on wires while the breaker was still on, and we realized then he was doing more damage and was unqualified. We tried to politely ask him to have his boss or someone else come out or contact us. He told us he didn't know how to fix the problems he had created and assured us we would get a refund. He also assured us his boss would be in touch with us in the morning to get it straightened out. We spent another night with no lights. When I hadn't received a phone call from the company by noon the next day, I called and left a message that I just wanted my money back. I've never heard from them again. They ripped us off, left us with a damaged fan and no working lights.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/21) */ All service call are told we have a one hour minimum charge. First trip we were there 1.5 hours installed one fan and customer was told we would not work on second fan until ceiling was repaired. Fan and light working. customer called and said when they use switch breaker trips. We made second trip and worked over 2 hours and could not resolve issue. Tech was told to safe off switch to prevent any damage. no charges were made for second trip. I am attaching report from onsite tech. Also customer said they used google and they repaired wiring. Based on that we have sent letter to customer that we will not be responsible for any issues caused by wiring since we have no idea if it was done to code and correctly.I am also sending copy of review3 left on home depot web site Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/06/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was never told there was a minimum service charge of $150. That is an outright lie. I was quoted $150 for the work I requested. I also havr an invoice for $150 for the work. No where does it say a service charge. The tech never said they wouldn't touch the second fan until ceiling was repaired. We are doing extensive drywall work through the whole house and they just needed to tighten the brace between the ceiling joists, which has nothing to do with the ceiling drywall, and in fact needed to be done before the ceiling was redone around it. Staying they left with fan and light working is a lie. We spent two days without working lights until I fixed it myself by watching videos online. They broke my fan. The left me with no working lights. I don't want them to be responsible for anything because they only did damage while at my home. The tech told me lie after lie while he was there. He didn't not safely turn off power to the fixtures before starting work. We had to stop him on more than one occasion from doing unsafe things. That tech should not out doing electrical work, so I don't care what his report says. I want my money back. Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2022/06/30) */ Business stands by their original response and will not be refunding anything.
