I bought a cancer/heart attack policy in January of 2005 with a 20-year ***. God blessed me to get through that 20 years with no claims, so I submitted the *** Surrender Form to get my money back. After a week they called and said I had accepted a buyout/buy-back in 2012, which is false. The cash value of my policies proves I have paid every dime owed for 20 years and never accepted a low-ball buy-out offer. Every time I call I'm told they're working on it and will contact me. So far the only contact they made was to give me the false information about 2012. I keep asking to speak to anyone above the **************** level, and they keep saying that's not possible. It's getting ridiculous. They need to give me the *** they guaranteed back in 2005 and quit stalling. After reading the other reviews posted here, I'm sick; how can a company that claims to help teachers be so terrible at keeping simple promises about their policies? It's an indictment of the insurance industry in general, but truly shameful for ***. Avoid them at all costs and find a company with a track record of paying what they promise.

I started an *** Account when the amount paid in was what was returned (Return of Premium) so it served as a saving account of sorts while also protecting me when, as a Teacher, I wasn't covered during the school year. After 20 years, I requested a *** and received much less than I was expecting. At the suggestion of my NTA Agent, I asked for an Audit of my payments for the 2 accounts included in the **** After 3 months and several emails and phone calls, they still are making excuses for not being able to get this information to me. First it was it's being processed, then they said it was mailed but I never received it (my address has never changed and it is and has been correct on my portal online) and then it was an email almost three months later saying they can resend the *** Worksheet if I want them too but that's all they can do right now. See email below. This has been an unnecessarily frustrating process to simply verify that they amount they returned is the amount I paid into this account. I would advise anyone thinking about *** to stop and just put their money in a savings account instead!!!"We truly apologize that you are dissatisfied with our services. According to our records, there was a request made to send a copy of the *** Worksheet to the mailing address on file. If the requested documentation has not yet been received, we would be happy to send over another request to the appropriate department for processing of this documentation. At this time, this would be the only documentation that can be provided. For additional information please contact our *********************** at ______. Its been a month waiting on my disability claim payout. They are not a company that works for their patrons. Looking for reasons not to pay out the claim every week additional information is being requested. I am in dire need of the policy I paid into. I call every other day for them to say once we receive this then thats all we need just for me to call two days later and more information is needed. I REGRET utilizing this company and I am looking for another servicer. All you speak with is **** never your agent. I feel my agent is Bias and is not working for me. This company only wants to take your money not pay out in the policies you pay for. Stay away, choose another company such as Aflac or Allstate

I have NTA Life cancer insurance. I was diagnosed with cancer on July 2, 2024. I submitted my initial cancer claim with the pathology report to NTA Life on July 3, 2024. It is now August 27, 2024, and I still have not received my initial payment. I have had surgery and about to start my radiation treatment. When we call for assistance with this matter, customer service states that the claims department needs more information, but they are not able to inform us of what information claims needs. Unfortunately, customer service cannot call claims, nor is there a way for the customer to communicate with claims. We have called NTA approximately 15 times in the past month and a half with still no resolution. We have spoken with a supervisor with no resolution. I have been completely disappointed with NTA Life thus far and I regret having them for my cancer coverage, but unfortunately, since my diagnosis I feel like I am stuck with them.

I purchased the cancer policy with hopes of never having to use it but I ended up with throat cancer. After filling a claim I received several payments but not in the amount I was owed. Every time I would send what they requested they would say it wasnt good enough and request something else. I did 33 radiation treatments and 6 chemo treatments and only got paid for 5 of them. The customer service reps were helpful most of the time but every time the claims department would turn it down and request another document. The whole experience has been a nightmare. No one should have to deal with this especially while dealing with cancer.

After 3 years of paying a bi-weekly premium of ****** for what the sales person said is the "Gold" policy insuring I have top benefit payouts I find this is NOT TRUE. I had a similar policy as a teacher in ******** and NEVER ONCE had an issue when submitting a claim; payouts were done quickly and AS PROMISED.I was diagnosed with shingles through an urgent care; does ANYONE IN TO***'s WORLD GET A DOC APPT with their OWN PHYSICIAN on the *** they need it? No, we all go to urgent care. NTA refused to start my sick time from the date I was diagnosed with urgent care on March 29th, 2024, they made my "claim start date" on April 9th when I went to see my family care physician. The physician did not know how long I would be out as shingles affects people differently and the longevity of it varies. The end date was temporarily set for May 5 with a follow up appointment to take place prior to that end date. The follow up visit found me in dire pain with nerve damage due to the shingles so my "END DATE" was changed to August 5. NTA ONLY PAID OUT FOR THE FIRST INITIAL CLAIM ENDING start DATE April 9 END date May 5th. NOT WORTH THE $408.00 per month. SCAM.

I signed up for their insurance today. I decided to cancel the policy and I was told on the phone to call back in a few days again to see if I can cancel the policy. I was only told that I would get my cancellation forms in the mail when I asked for an email confirmation. I was only given vague responses. I really want this policy to be cancelled for good.

THIS INSURANCE IS A SCAM!! My dad had a cancer policy with this company for over 20 years. When he got his cancer diagnosis this year we found comfort in knowing that he had this insurance. Boy were we wrong! After sending in EVERY piece of medical documentation/bills that we received; they paid him $324. After many times reaching out to customer service, which was a nightmare. Their cancer policy is very limited as to what it covers. There is no piece of mind knowing you have this policy. You just pay a bill for years and years and when you need it; you get ripped off.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I am a teacher who sat down with an NTA agent that came to my school last year and really sold my disability policy to me. My husband and I had been going through fertility treatment after 2 years of trying for a baby with nothing. I had finally gotten pregnant and had a miscarriage due to pregnancy complications. My pregnancies are VERY high risk due to all of this and multiple other factors such as a protein c deficiency and an immunity disorder. Anyway, after explaining all this, the agent I sat down with assured me that ANYTHING pregnancy related would be covered and he understood how delicate my situation was. Fast forward to now, Im 23 weeks pregnant (thank you *****), have had such a rough time trying to keep this baby in and healthy, *** submitted multiple claims for different issues Ive been having and they wont cover ANYTHING. I cant go back to work because of all the issues, they wont cover anything because Im not confined to a hospital and Im at home carrying my son totally screwed because I was under the impression I would be covered. Now Ive wasted so much money and Im not getting paid a *****. But oh, dont worry they said, youll definitely get something once the baby comes. Yeah, thanks a lot. That will do me a lot of good right now. How ridiculous. Total waste of money, do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy their policy if you need it for pregnancy. Even if youre confined to your bed, they wont cover it unless your hospitalized. I kid you not, I cant even walk around my own house due to my pelvic pain and round ligament injury, and they are saying Im fine to work because Im not confined to a hospital. Absolute scam.

My wife was an elementary school teacher. She paid for cancer policy since 2006. She passed away from cancer and they will not pay. Same song and dance need this need that. Wrong form, missing form. Its a real con job for sure. They even went as far as saying my wife didnt have a cancer policy. My familys attorney has requested a copy of the policy. They said they would send it. Going on four weeks and still havent seen it. Wolves in sheep clothing. Please do not deal with these professorial criminals. Its absurd the way they treat people and prey on Teachers and EMS employees.
